I wanted to say hello by video because it just feels more personal sometimes and I also have an update that some of you might think is really fun. Watch the greeting then, if you have an I-phone or I-pad and you’re game for it, this is how to download the app:

Thank you, Beth for making us feel so loved, and it was lovely to meet you, Sabrina. Since my husband and I are the Fred and Wilma Flintstone of the techno age, all this “Apple-tosh” talk has me a bit whoozy (my daughter’s name for computers during kindergarten). I’m still rather impressed that I can comment on a blog. Perhaps I should raise my expectations a tad 🙂
Got the spirals for my 3 BSF’s (Best Sister’s Forever) and all our daugher’s for Christmas! 10 of us together writing God’s word on our hearts…ages 10 to 51:) The new app is a hit with the techno guru’s! Thank you and how about something for us apple-deprived…android lovers?:)God’s hand is obviously upon this venture!!
Well, I don’t have an ipad or pod so I can’t join in that fun, BUT I do have a downloaded spiral and it’s doing its job just fine for me and my little girl! : ) She is helping me in my memorizing (4 1/2 years old) and is filling her sweet little head with amazing Truths without even knowing it. I just changed my photo to show us together with our spiral so you can see us, Beth! : ) Looking forward to adding our second verse tomorrow!
How awesome! I’ll have to try this with my 8 year old little boy. We do tell each other every night 5 things we are thankful for (although he makes me try to come up with 20…and so far I’ve been able to do it). It is amazing to see gratitude through their eyes. I am so glad that he’s getting a foundation… what you are doing with your daughter and scripture will reap rewards for her in coming years, I’m sure! =)

I have a plain old spiral. This makes me want to order the Siesta spiral!!:)
No Ipad or Iphone (does a Nook count) but I ordered my notecards today 🙂

It also works on my iPod. Now if I can find an app for my HTC EVO Android phone I will be set. Love you all.

Well, I have always considered myself a Droid girl. Until now. I’m due for a renewal and have been debating whether to switch to AT&T to get the iphone or stay with Droid. (This has been going on since November!) Now, I think I know what I have to do. Hello, iPhone!

Peggy, there isn’t a button/link for the 2011 SSMT. Some have seen the link on the right hand side of the home page, but this was from 2009. I’ll see if we can’t clarify that… Just watch on the blog for Beth’s 1st & 15th posts and submit there. Welcome!

You should also know that I decided to pay it forward and challenge my extended family to memorize scripture this year – and several have agreed! I set up a blog for our posts, and currently have 9 cousins, aunts, uncles, 2 daughters, and my mom memorizing along with me! While we’re separated by physical distance across the US, we can be connected in spirit as we challenge and encourage one another with this pursuit!

Thank you for your encouragement to memorize scriptures. As a stay at home mom of 2 little ones and one on the way I feel having God’s word hidden in my heart will help me through those moments during the day when I’m overwhelmed and exhausted. Ordered 2 notebooks today… one to share with a friend.
okay girls! i got it to download and i love it, but i do have a question. it has a button for comments, but i cannot view anyone else’s comments and if i want to post a comment it says i can to facebook, twitter, or email. what is the comment function for? i don’t twitter. i have no idea how to twitter, but i am on facebook. help ladies! this is so sad. i won’t tell you what my degree is in. you would be so ashamed! lol!

Love it! Thank you! For you Droid girls, I think there are some good Flash Card apps that you can use… not quite the same, but that’s what I did on my Iphone last time & it saved my cards from getting beat up. Plus, I still run through them on my phone when the moment calls for it!
I don’t have an IPhone or IPad either but I still find this very exciting!!! The Siestas have an APP !!

Not too late at all, Katie! Just go to the main LPM website and click on the LPM store and you’ll find it. They’ll get it to you before you know it.

Will this app work on my Android phone?
so i randomly found the app yesterday while browsing the app store, and then i checked the blog today and find that it was new! 🙂 i grew up in AWANA– and i was wondering…are there any other siestas out there involved with AWANA??
I am a secretary for Sparks this year after serving in Cubbies for a few years. Both of my girls have been in AWANA since they were three years old!
I also grew up in Awana and still have allllllll those verses hidden in my heart and they have served me well over the years! Now I’m Cubbies director. :o)

Ha-le-lu-jah!!!! How great that he knew about our new app beforehand. Getting rid of the blackberry and moving into a new thing with that iphone that we have been patiently waiting for for-ev-er! See scripture applies to our entire lives! Obviously this was not the context in which this Word was intended but I gotta laugh at how He can use it all!

I’m loving memorizing with you… so is my four year old son! We’ve been working on 2 Peter 1:3 and just this morning I was asked “Mom, is it time to learn 2 Peter 1:4 yet?”
I think this is an awesome idea! You can do it on the I touch as well- and I was able to have my verse on my i touch as I was working out- which I can take my spiral (didnt buy one but bought one from Wal Mart- so if you are looking to count people- 8,010!) but i dont want it to get smelly! 🙂 Beth, thank you for all you do- I love being a part of your ministry from all the way in Florida!
Y’all MADE my day!!! (spent the morning at the DMV renewing my driver’s license — then to pay a speeding ticket — I drive with purpose!!! ) SO what a real TREAT to sit and watch you girls share your excitement for scripture memory and your news about the app. I downloaded it with out any help from my husband!!!! It will be my favorite app on my iPad (most of the others are ones my 8 year old uses) this one is ALL mine!!! Y’all made my day!!!

I have been doing my first Beth Moore study (the fruit of the Spirit one) with a few girl friends and have been challenged in a couple of different ways to make scripture memory a priority this year. Then I was reading Crystal Lewis’ blog today and she pointed me here. I think God is trying to tell me something 🙂
I just downloaded the spiral pdf and I LOVE the app, which I will be putting on my iPod touch. I missed week one, but I’m just in time for week 2. And although I missed week 1, I’ve been working on Galatians 5:22,23 NIV for the purpose of my study. So I’ll make that entry 1 and add something new tomorrow – and I’ll still have 24 at the end of the year.

Go to the App store on the iPad and search “siesta”. It’s the second or third one and it has the spiral picture too! Hope this helps!!!! – Cortni

I have a droid so I’ll miss out of the fun app, but share in the excitement with those who will be whippin’ out their phones to show their friends their verses. I love the image of that! What fun – an app! I am trying to memorize scriptures that I can create a picture for and then print in color – I like visuals . . . so I am putting my verses in the app (I had sent myself an e-mail) and I will have my color pictures in a folder . . . I was late and did not get a spiral and I knew that just writing it was not enough. Thanks for the app!
