I wanted to say hello by video because it just feels more personal sometimes and I also have an update that some of you might think is really fun. Watch the greeting then, if you have an I-phone or I-pad and you’re game for it, this is how to download the app:

Ya’ll are so fun! I have a blackberry that I get my emails on. I typed up my memory verses and emailed them to myself and saved that email. That way I can have them on my phone with me when I don’t have my spiral. Love this technology!
Oh my goodness! Just TODAY I was looking for an app that would help me when I was away from my spiral but decided I’d never find something that would suffice…and here you are!

Love the app idea, but what about us girls who just love our Droid phones and will keep it even when Verizon gets the iphone next month. Can we get an app, too?

We’ve been praying for an App. It does work on the iPod Touch 4 too; that’s what I have.
I type in the date January 1 before my scripture. Next entry will be January 15 and my scripture verse.

I came across the Siesta App when I searched App Store for Beth Moore. I also found “Praying God’s Word”–another Yipee!
Then I searched for LifeWay Christian Resources and the App Store brought up the Holman Christian Study Bible for $9.99–great buy for the Study Bible. Love using it with lots of free extra books.

This just made my heart very, very happy. Especially since I have yet to order my spiral. Or are they all gone? I guess I need to check on that. My paper is getting boring.

As I said on Twitter (after I installed the app on my ipod) this is way too cool. You gals are so cute and I loved “meeting” Sabrina. Good name – I have a daughter named Sabrina! I have just downloaded the app on my ipad and will also download it on my phone in just a few minutes. This is great, now I have three different tools to help me. It is very difficult for me to memorize anything, so I also bought a new calligraphy pen and notebook. Nothing fancy, just the marker type calligraphy pen, but I figured as long as I was going to write out the scriptures several times to help with the memorization process, I could also try to improve my calligraphy skills.
I have also chosen Hebrews 4:12 that I read on the new app as my next scripture. It is a long verse for me, but it really spoke to me when I looked up the complete verse.
Thank you for the hard work that you and your team do each day to keep us all inspired in the word of God.
I am about to die over here with excitement. I downloaded my siesta app on my iPad and clapped all by myself. I love y’all. I love precious Sabrina. Also, after mtg her in San Antonio and her beautiful daughter I have decided that her daughter looks like an actress but I can’t remember her name. Yayayayayayay!!!!!!!!
Oh my gosh I cannot even tell you how excited I am for this. I had looked for apps to use for my ssmt and haven’t really liked any of them. THIS is going to be great! Thank you for thinking of us and helping us keep our verses with us all the time.

I just wanted you to know how excited i am about the SSMT. Last year i decided i wanted to work more consistently on memorizing scripture and as the new year approached, i was thinking about making it a “resolution”. I saw that a friend posted on FB about this opportunity and i had to check it out. I even passed the info along to my fellow siestas who meet together on Wednesday night (we started with your Daniel study and are now doing Revelation). Several of them are participating also. Thanks also for the app. My husband got me an itouch for Christmas (my very first i-anything) so how timely that you’ve made an app (and a free one at that) to help with this commitment. God bless you and your ministry team!!

This is so great! I loooove having this right on my phone. Mine seems to have only partially loaded though, because I am missing some of the pages and comment options that were on your itunes preview page. Ill check into it tomorrow with the apple support link you posted.. Anyway…Thanks! I’m loving this!

Beth… Thank you not just for hosting a blog, and writing Bible studies… But thank you for teaching us how to be community right here at the tips of our fingers.
I’ve been praying for dear JOANNE and remembering our Siesta Meet UP in 2008 when I last was able to see a few of our friends F2F. WOW! God is doing church here and it is a powerful thing. Thank you for using your influence to inspire, encourage and bless us through the work of the Father in your sweet life. I know He gets the glory, but you are so willing a vessel. I just feel like you are my forever friend… You’ve walked me through the hardest times when my son went home to be with God, and even before it was your Bible study that helped me surrender his fate to the Lord. You’ve walked me through the healing of my grief. God put you in my life because I needed to grow up and QUICK! Your Bible studies and God’s sweet Spirit helped me to do just that. In a couple of short years I walked out a painful existence.
I tell people all the time I never really memorized Scripture save one excursion into Psalm 46 because I wanted to pray it for a list of people – I memorized the whole chapter in 12 hours. But, that is another story. Every other word of the Scriptures that resides in my heart started with flipping back and forth in the tissue paper pages of His Word with your Bible studies. Before to long I could quote it, pray it and live it.
I thank my God that He created YOU! And that He is forever teaching me through you to follow Christ all the way home.
You are precious to Him and us.

Beth I am so excited about the app. I just want you to know I feel like so much a part of this blog and being a Siesta that my very first thought when I saw that we have an app was “oh my word, I now have my own app” (as if my name was on it). Thank you so much for all you do and for making each one of us feel special. (and a big thank you to your staff)
I just love it when you pop in to say hi, like getting that almost daily phone call from your BFF. It would be like a week without chocolate if I didn’t hear from Beth at least once.

So who is that extra person in the 8001…o.k. now I’m crying. I totally knew from the get-go I was memorizing scripture for 2011. I kept trying to figure out what to get my mom for Christmas and God said, “Hey have her do this with you and then you guys can go to the conference together this year.”
I love it!! I just downloaded the app right after I read the email and watched your video!! Thank you for all you do!!! This is going to be so fun!!! I absolutely LOVED the story about the letter & the mail lady… A-MA-ZING!! I am just blown away how the Lord is using Siesta’s and HIS Word right now! PRAISE YOU FATHER!!
