I wanted to say hello by video because it just feels more personal sometimes and I also have an update that some of you might think is really fun. Watch the greeting then, if you have an I-phone or I-pad and you’re game for it, this is how to download the app:

What a wonderful way to start my day. I got an Ipad for Christmas and this is my first year participating in the Siesta Memory Team. I was looking at apps trying to find something to fit…..so I’m so glad you did this! It’s perfect. I have my spiral, but I’m going to do both. AND two of my dear friends who I work with and go to church with are going to do the memorazation with me! I have ordered them sprials also. So excited to do this and be part of the team. Thank you Beth and all your hard working staff!!! What a blessing.
Wow! And don’t forget those of us who picked up our own spirals to follow along. Haven’t a clue about apps or anything too techy like that, but its extremely encouraging to see the enthusiasm over memorizing God’s Word–especially in the wake of censorship looming over us like dark storm clouds approaching. Nothing could be more important than hiding His Word in our hearts. 🙂

Thank you so much for offering the download! I wasn’t even aware it was available. We are in the process of moving to another state for the second time in 5 months. (Let me just say that God wanted us in Oklahoma and we wanted Texas. Well, He has let us fall on our faces here in many ways so we are listening and headed to OK.) Anyway, the two moves have drained us financially and I just couldn’t justify even the few dollars for the spiral. I am so excited that I can still have your beautiful design!

Oh how I wish I had an iPhone!! Maybe this will be the catalyst for me to make the leap, especially since it will now be offered by Verizon. Even if not, I already have my first scripture memorized and am beyond excited. I have wanted to do scripture memorization for years and have just never done it. Beth you have inspired me and made it feel so doable. Bless you!
So I have a phone that hangs in my kitchen on a cord it’s real nice it reaches to the bathroom, the bedroom and even into the closet when I need some privacy I can sit in front of the tv with the rabbit ears do you think it will work on my tv wait a minute I gotta get up and turn it on.
Just kidding, it’s how I feel. I don’t have an ipod or iphone either but it looks fun on itunes’ link I just got to the first page there and will have to wait until my husband or son are well fed and ask them how it works after the opening page. I have my scripture and can’t wait to post it!!
Beth & Sabrina – if y’all aren’t just the cutest two ladies. Beth you absolutely can make me laugh without doing much at all…I love your expressions and JOY. It is so sweet to see how obvious it is that you’ve been friends a long time—by the way you play off each other. That comes from lots of time spent together, so precious! (Beautiful manicures by the way – love your nail polish color Sabrina!)
I have some Christmas money and I’m thinking about an iPad. I also know that Verizon is coming out with an iPhone next month. Decisions, decisions!
Until then, my spiral is so wonderful. I love it and I love you two so much.

Thanks so much for the encouragement, Beth. You’re right about the spirals being just the kind of tool to encourage someone to give scripture memorization a try. I love little stuff like that and I’ve increasingly over the years wanted to try to memorize scripture, but (fill in any excuse not to).
I’m really jazzed about this AND I’m even more excited now because in another couple of weeks, I’m going to be getting my very first iphone! I can’t wait to download my free Siesta app! I can pause the ipad and pretend I have one and type and everything! grin It was so nice to meet you Sabrina, what a cutie you are and I love that you are so confident in being Spirit led with your next verse tomorrow! I was just waiting for ya’ll to trade spirals and say your first verse to each other. Beth I will be skipping, clapping and jumping like a jumpin bean all day filled up with love and knowing there are so many Siesta’s being led by the Spirit to captive their minds with His Word. My elementary age daughter saw me download the app on my phone….as it turns out, she has an iTouch and has now downloaded it so SHE can put HER scripture verses on it! Oh goodness…Thank you, Lord…what a blessing. Thanks for hearing the Lord’s prompting on this. 🙂

LOVE IT!!! Just downloaded and typed in my first verse.
I had another idea this week as I started my bible study, the new revised version of David. Wanted to have my memory verse in front of me each day as I did my homework, so I wrote my verse in a word label document, ran the labels and stuck the verse label at the top of each page. I dated my homework to coinside with the time frame of each verse. Now, in addition to my spiral notebook and my iphone, I see it daily as I do my homework.

Okay, my favorite part of the video was when you excitedly said, “An app!” You crack me up!
I was thinking along the same lines of a captivated mind this morning. I could hear the Spirit of God in me say, “You have to reinvent the wheel.” The wheels in my mind must no longer play that same old song and dance that pulls me in the wrong direction. I must be transformed by the renewing of my mind. My cogs must no longer be oiled with cheapie generic (counterfeit) stuff. I need NAME BRAND oil. His Name. The Name above all names. Jesus.

Wonderful! I had started my own memory verses app using “notes” on my iphone. Now I can switch to this. For those who don’t have an iphone but have a smartphone you could probably use Notepad or some other app to keep your Scriptures. It’s wonderful to have them with you cause ya never know when you’ll need them. Thanks and blessings to all,

Boy do I love seeing you up close and personal in your video. I am sure it takes way more time than just typing BUT it revs me up and sends me right to my siesta scripture memory spiral AND my bible! You have been the kick in the butt I have needed to read my scripture memory cards AND read my bible at least one hour each day.

Whooo-Hoooo!! another answer to prayer. I had scoured the App Store trying to find some digital assistance to help me stay on task in my memory work and was not 100% satisfied with anything I saw. Soooo excited!! Downloading now!! 🙂
Yay! I’m so excited. I’ve already got my verse for tomorrow. And my first verse has already helped so much. I chose Ps. 46:10 last time. My husband is accepting an overseas job offer, and I have needed it to remember that God is in control. No matter what. No matter where.

The day I started with my (Walgreens special because I was too impatient to wait on the USPS) spiral, I started a Siesta Memory note in my iphone just in case I was ever without my spiral! So excited to have a cute app instead 🙂

I am so excited about the siesta smt and the ipad app is a wonderful bonus. My 13 and 9 year old daughters were so excited when I got my spiral in the mail and both decided they wanted to do this with me. I immediately ordered a spiral for each of them and they are busy memorizing their scripture choice along with me. It is such a blessing to see my girls growing in the Lord and having a desire to memorize His word!

I am soo excited to download and use this app! I had already typed my first verse into the Notes section of my iPod Touch, so I would have it with me!! Can’t wait to do it on the app!
I am so very glad to be doing this… even more glad than maybe I realized. I dreamt last night that Beth was sitting on my couch and I said my verse to her…. IN MY DREAM. Oh that scripture is IN THERE for GOOD! 🙂
