Hey, Darling Things!
With great joy the Living Proof Live team and I hit the road again for our 2011 dates starting next weekend and we are revved up and ready to jump on anything with wings. Over the last eighteen months I’ve tried so hard to make some wise changes to my (almost literally) back-breaking schedule. One of the biggest alterations is that we decided not to launch the LPL travel schedule until the end of our Tuesday night series so that I wouldn’t be trying to juggle sixteen gillion things at once. It was a really great decision and I have never enjoyed my Tuesday night group more. They’ve gotten to be the chief focus at LPM for weeks and I will be so sad to see the series end. The only downside to the decision is that I have been off the road for longer than usual and away from my beloved praise team and LifeWay event team. We are all really good buddies so we are itching to be together again and do what God has called us to do. I got to have Travis and Angela and part of the team for a great Tuesday night here in Houston or I wouldn’t have made it but I haven’t laid eyes on the rest of group since the first week of December. I’ve missed them so much.
We are BESIDE OURSELVES to start our 2011 schedule in the Great Northwest. We will hit Tacoma next Friday, March 11th, as one very happy group of Jesus freaks. (My printed calendar actually said Seattle but God knew!) God began speaking to me just three days ago about the subject matter. In fact, I have a white envelope that I keep in my car console for blotting my lipstick (it wasn’t premeditated) and God startedΒ pressing on my heart so strongly about that event that I pulled it out at the stop light and started jotting down themes right there between four shades of pink. Michelle saw it when she was helping me get all manner of stuff out of the car and made a funny face. I said kind of sheepishly, “Notes for Washington.” She grinned and said, “I get it, Ma’am.” I love it when God starts shedding light on the messages because that’s when I know for certain – for absolute certain – that He scheduled the event and it wasn’t we. Lord, have mercy. That’s our worst nightmare. Nothing like showing up and He doesn’t. That’s when you know you missed something.
So, Tacoma first.
Then we break April open with a trip to Fresno, California on the 1st and 2nd. We love us some California! We are looking forward to a whole lot of Jesus, some gorgeous weather, great worship, lots of Bible study (please, Lord), and at least two rounds (and probably two pounds) of In-N-Out Burger. Seattle-country makes me think coffee. California makes me think Animal Style Fries. I have some great friends coming to that one that I’ll get to see afterward. (I am no fun in advance. Too intense. You never have to worry whether or not we take our jobs seriously. There is considerable angst involved. But afterward, if we’ve had time to catch our breath and get something in our stomachs, we are free to laugh our heads off and rejoice in God’s grace.)
THEN, we head to Little Rock. Back home to Arkansas. Both of my sisters will be at this one. So will some of our childhood friends. More than anything, I want to meet Jesus there. Just where I first met Him many years ago. My heart is especially tender toward this one as those rolling hills draw my soul. I think about it almost every day.
So, it’s almost time to pull out the LPL suitcase again and I’m just weird enough to be glad. It’s been so good to have a nice long season at home and I will definitely do it again next year. But somewhere in the distance I hear a voice saying, “Please make sure that all carry-on items are stowed either in an overhead compartment or completely beneath the seat in front of you. If you are seated in an emergency exit row, please read the information on the passenger safety card which is located in the seat back pocket in front of you. If you do not meet the criteria for seating in this row, or if you do not wish toΒ assist in an emergency (you lame gnat), let a crew member know and we will be happy to re-seat you. Prior to departure from the gate all cell-phones must be turned off and stowed. Once again, we welcome you on board.”
Ah, yes. And that’s when I shoot out my last text to AJ and Lis and try to power down before I get in trouble.
I’m so hoping to see some of you Siestas in one of those three great cities. Anybody planning to head either direction? Even if these events are way off your radar,Β I’d give just about anything if you’d take a moment and pray for our 2011 Living Proof Live events. It would make a world of difference. Oh, man, we so want to honor God and give Him great glory and spread the fame of Jesus Christ. We want to keep learning and keep growing and keep seeking and keep finding, alongside every woman He sends our way. We have nothing without Him. Not one thing. If we quench Him, we’re croutons. Please pray for our hearts to be pure and our egos to be small and for our God to be huge and make His praise glorious.

My dear daughter and I are coming to Little Rock! We live here in Northwest Arkansas. I am so grateful to God to give us this opportunity to have some “mother-daughter” time, for she is to leave in May for Mexico, to marry the young man whom the Lord has brought into her life. My heart is so full, even as I write this! We had the privilege of teaching her at home, all the way through high school. As a young teenager, she fell in love with Jesus, discovering Him in His Word, and she has never turned back. He awakened in her a heart for those less fortunate than she, especially those people of His who live south of our border! Early, repeated mission trips to Mexico caused her to fall in love with the people. After high school she lived there for 1 1/2 years, and during that time she met her dear young man. The Lord has had His hand upon this relationship, it has been hard, but He is faithful! She will graduate from U of A in May, then head on down there! We will join her in June, for the special celebration of their wedding. Their visa application for him was approved, so he will be coming here! Praise the Lord! So all of that background was to tell you how special this weekend with you and our Lord will be for us! I know you have a momma’s heart, so you understand mine! I will be praying for you as you prepare, thank you for listening to His specific Word to your sisters in Christ!

Oh Beth! How I would LOVE to be present at one of these events! I sure am hoping to make one this year though! I have been the past two years and it is definitely a highlight for me. I LOVE me some JESUS, AMAZING worship, and a FABULOUS speaker in love with our AWESOME Savior!!! I always meet God there or should I say He meets me! I pray for you a lot because I love you so & you’re dear to my heart! I pray that God will bless your socks off this year and blow you away with the anointing of His Holy Spirit, speaking & moving in a way that only HE can, using you for His glory alone. So glad you are coming to Little Rock again! One of my new, dear friends is coming with me from Searcy and we are staying at my mom’s in Little Rock. Mom has never done a Beth Bible study until this year and never gone to an LPM event. I am so excited she’s coming with us!
I will be praying for God to work in a manifest and tangible way that weekend (and the others, of course!)

I am sooo in awe of how God works. I just received your book Praying Gods Word. Little did I know it would address an issue I’m struggling with, my Son who has just claimed he is Homosexual. Married with 3 wonderful children and was a pastor. He has been sooo deceived and your article is amazing. I so want to send it to him and I told him you come from love and not condemnation. Thank you for writing that book. He so believes the lies the enemy has fed him that he was born that way. In with a group of men that are giving him that false love. I feel like he is brain washed

I share your pain as my daughter last year revealed the same thing to my husband and I. She was raised in the church and even a youth group leader and she has basically decided that this is who she is and that God will bless a monogamous relationship regardless of whether it is a man/woman or woman/woman. We haven’t given up – I’ve been praying for her “husband to be” since she was a teenager and I continue to – and that her heart will be changed.
May your hearts align with His to move mountains, make crooked paths straight, and bring to wholeness every woman involved.

I just learned about SSMT today!! What an awesome idea! I have wanted to memorize scripture, but I need some accountability. Is it too late to be a part of SSMT 2011? Should I start with March 1 or March 15??? Should I try to go back and memorize 4 scriptures for January and February or just start fresh with March?? I won’t have 24 by the end of the year, but I would have 20 scriptures memorized if I start now. But more importantly I would have a habit of memorizing scripture. I don’t want to overwhelm myself or I will defeat the whole purpose of SSMT! What would you suggest?

Praying. I think about you everyday and some lesson I have learned from one of your many Bible studies. I was at an LPL event in Michigan last May and I still think about Jesus seeing up in trees. Amazing. I will not be at one of the events you are talking about in this blog, BUT I will be at the LPL event in Columbus, Ohio in August. I will be there along side many other beautiful and wonderful women from my church. We are all so excited!! You have all of our prayers, we all love you dearly. You really have no idea. We do atleast 2 of your Bible studies a year at our church. I’m thankful for your humble approach to teaching the Word. I did the Esther Bible study 2 years ago and God gave me a vision and a plan of speaking to young women about the expectations and pressures of society to look and act a certain way. 2 years later that vision was fullfilled as I did exactly that. Our youth pastor asked me to teach 3 weeks of a series on dating/relationships/expectations, and gave me a lesson, he had no idea. I have no doubt that God will continue to use you in this way. Lifting you up to the God who is Love.

Dear Beth: You and your team come on to Little Rock! We need a fresh falling of the Holy Spirit to motivate us to be strong women of God. I’m doing your “Living Beyond Yourself” and I just heard Session 3 Wednesday night. I never, ever in my life heard about how “God takes it personally” when one of His children has been rejected. My only child, a son, who is grown and married will not communicate with me. I cannot for the life of me figure out WHY…why? You see, we’ve had no more cross words than you and I have! Then I heard you say “God will not allow rejection to fall to the ground”. I’ve sat under Adrian Rogers, and a therapist, and listened to and read all manner of Christian leaders. You are the only one who explained it to me so that my heart could hang on! I have faith that someday, God will redeem the time. I’m just waiting on Him and His perfect will in this. You, Beth, just keep touching our hearts in the most tenderest of places. I’ll be in the audience in Little Rock, and in Louisville! YOU AND KAY ROCK!!!!!

Slipped on the ice in my driveway, and am home with a broken ankle and at least a 6 week “set apart” time with Jesus that I wasn’t planning on, but am participating in with joy knowing that He has something special for this time :o) . PS: I had to look up the *Animal Style* fries… I quote: “… It’s less well-known that you can get your fries Animal Style, too. What does that mean? Your tray of fries comes topped with a mass of melty cheese, the same grilled onions, and a heart-stopping ladle of Thousand Island dressing.” Lord, have mercy. Gotta GET me some o’ that!

We Houston girls love you so much. This study has been so amazing. A little hard at times, and I know you know what I mean. Thank you for all that you and staff do for us on Tuesday nights. Thanks so much for the laughs that you share with us each week. I am so sad that it is over but the rest of the world, I guess, deserves a little bit of you too! I usher upstairs on Tuesday and I will will miss my ladies as I call them. I look forward to seeing them almost as much as I look forward to seeing and hearing you. Happy traveling! But don’t forget about us.
Me and a whole group are going to be in Fresno! We have been looking forward to it since we saw you last year in Irvine! I’ll be praying for you all and waiting with great anticipation for April 1st! That is a great day for me cause I quit smoking on April 1st 2004 and now I get to spend that happy anniversary day with all my siestas and our sweet siesta mamma! He is as much a part of your ministry as anyone. I just wanted to give him a big shout out!

I am SO excited! I will be driving down to Tacoma from beautiful BC, Canada! π I can hardly wait! I put the word out there to see if anyone would like to come down but so far no one has committed. I thank God for you Beth… for all your amazing books and for how He has used them to touch my life. I don’t have a relationship with my mother (her choice) and we have moved often in the past few years so I have not developed a close relationship with someone who might be a mentor or “spiritual mom” to me… BUT I have read many of your books (right now I am going though Esther with a group of ladies from my church) and have been blessed immensely. You have walked me through a lot of my “issues” by sharing your heart and have taught me so much about God’s grace and the study of His Word! I have loved Jesus since childhood but in the past couple of years have just completely fallen in love with His Word and obeying His commands!! I am excited for Tacoma and for what Jesus is about to do!! Love you!

As you embark on this season of impacting women for Jesus all over the country face-to-face, I have to let you know that the impact of the SSMT has not only saturated my day, but my dreams as well. Last night in a dream I was in the middle of a frightening confrontation when I visualized my Jan. 1 scripture on my Siesta 3X5 card and started reciting Col.2:15 in a loud voice! Nothing like having a good scripture on spiritual warfare planted deep in my subconscious! You will have no idea this side of heaven the power Jesus has poured through you to others. God bless you and fill you with His Presence as you minister.
