Itchy Feet: Tap Dancing Toward TACOMA!, Fresno, and Little Rock

Hey, Darling Things!

With great joy the Living Proof Live team and I hit the road again for our 2011 dates starting next weekend and we are revved up and ready to jump on anything with wings. Over the last eighteen months I’ve tried so hard to make some wise changes to my (almost literally) back-breaking schedule. One of the biggest alterations is that we decided not to launch the LPL travel schedule until the end of our Tuesday night series so that I wouldn’t be trying to juggle sixteen gillion things at once. It was a really great decision and I have never enjoyed my Tuesday night group more. They’ve gotten to be the chief focus at LPM for weeks and I will be so sad to see the series end. The only downside to the decision is that I have been off the road for longer than usual and away from my beloved praise team and LifeWay event team. We are all really good buddies so we are itching to be together again and do what God has called us to do. I got to have Travis and Angela and part of the team for a great Tuesday night here in Houston or I wouldn’t have made it but I haven’t laid eyes on the rest of group since the first week of December. I’ve missed them so much.

We are BESIDE OURSELVES to start our 2011 schedule in the Great Northwest. We will hit Tacoma next Friday, March 11th, as one very happy group of Jesus freaks. (My printed calendar actually said Seattle but God knew!) God began speaking to me just three days ago about the subject matter. In fact, I have a white envelope that I keep in my car console for blotting my lipstick (it wasn’t premeditated) and God started  pressing on my heart so strongly about that event that I pulled it out at the stop light and started jotting down themes right there between four shades of pink. Michelle saw it when she was helping me get all manner of stuff out of the car and made a funny face. I said kind of sheepishly, “Notes for Washington.” She grinned and said, “I get it, Ma’am.” I love it when God starts shedding light on the messages because that’s when I know for certain – for absolute certain – that He scheduled the event and it wasn’t we. Lord, have mercy. That’s our worst nightmare. Nothing like showing up and He doesn’t. That’s when you know you missed something.

So, Tacoma first.

Then we break April open with a trip to Fresno, California on the 1st and 2nd. We love us some California! We are looking forward to a whole lot of Jesus, some gorgeous weather, great worship, lots of Bible study (please, Lord), and at least two rounds (and probably two pounds) of In-N-Out Burger. Seattle-country makes me think coffee. California makes me think Animal Style Fries. I have some great friends coming to that one that I’ll get to see afterward. (I am no fun in advance. Too intense. You never have to worry whether or not we take our jobs seriously. There is considerable angst involved. But afterward, if we’ve had time to catch our breath and get something in our stomachs, we are free to laugh our heads off and rejoice in God’s grace.)

THEN, we head to Little Rock. Back home to Arkansas. Both of my sisters will be at this one. So will some of our childhood friends. More than anything, I want to meet Jesus there. Just where I first met Him many years ago. My heart is especially tender toward this one as those rolling hills draw my soul. I think about it almost every day.

So, it’s almost time to pull out the LPL suitcase again and I’m just weird enough to be glad. It’s been so good to have a nice long season at home and I will definitely do it again next year. But somewhere in the distance I hear a voice saying, “Please make sure that all carry-on items are stowed either in an overhead compartment or completely beneath the seat in front of you. If you are seated in an emergency exit row, please read the information on the passenger safety card which is located in the seat back pocket in front of you. If you do not meet the criteria for seating in this row, or if you do not wish to  assist in an emergency (you lame gnat), let a crew member know and we will be happy to re-seat you. Prior to departure from the gate all cell-phones must be turned off and stowed. Once again, we welcome you on board.”

Ah, yes. And that’s when I shoot out my last text to AJ and Lis and try to power down before I get in trouble.

I’m so hoping to see some of you Siestas in one of those three great cities. Anybody planning to head either direction? Even if these events are way off your radar,  I’d give just about anything if you’d take a moment and pray for our 2011 Living Proof Live events. It would make a world of difference. Oh, man, we so want to honor God and give Him great glory and spread the fame of Jesus Christ. We want to keep learning and keep growing and keep seeking and keep finding, alongside every woman He sends our way. We have nothing without Him. Not one thing. If we quench Him, we’re croutons. Please pray for our hearts to be pure and our egos to be small and for our God to be huge and make His praise glorious.

I love you guys.

Hey Beth (I love how I say that like you know me! ha) – I have just finished your fabulous Esther study tonite that I began with 10 other women back in September… really lovely to have a luxurious 2 weeks between studies – can really let things sink in, and I am now soooo sad that the study is over! Did your husband get his tent stakes back – I so loved that visual!! I really understand your love of your Tuesday night ladies – precious to spend time in the Word together… so THANK YOU for your dedication.. and when you coming to Philly? (or back to little ole’ Delaware!?!?)

Sweet Beth….I’m thinking of coming to Little Rock all by myself. Just me and Jesus. Thats so weird for me bc I need and love fellow siestas at these events but I’m praying and will see what He says. My SIL is there so I can stay and hang with the family too.

Thank you for ministering to me….to all of us. You showed me a real life Jesus for the very first time back in Little Rock years ago and I feel like I need to go back. Thank you for showing me the scriptures and bringing them to life.

    So grateful!

    Beth,

So very excited to see you in Seattle! I saw you in Spokane last October and have been blessed to come next week with my dearest sister in law. I will be praying for your safe arrival and mine as well, I will be driving almost 6 hours to my sil but I will have the music cranked up praising God!! See you soon, dearest Beth!

I was in Spokane as well, Eileen! Drive safely over the pass – will pray for that for the all eastern WA siestas and others that are coming.

Several of us Pine Bluff, AR girls will be joining the Little Rock crowd in April. We are very excited. We drove over 15 hours to St. Louis last year. You might wonder why it would take over 15 hours to get from Arkansas to Missouri (if you stink at geography as I do, these two states border each other, and the trip should take about 7 hours), it is a long story with many stops and lots of memories!! It was a great trip, and we look forward to our second annual LPL this year in the LR.

Prayed for you this very day Romans 8:26 and it is the Spirit of the God you so Adore who intercedes for you during these three trips with wordless groans. I’ve seen just about all your bible study videos and several events, but a couple of weeks ago when I sat in the audience at the Life Today taping, I saw a Presence of God’s Power on you unexplainable, I Cor 2:2-4. A Rendezvous with Rest that was so inviting, Matt 11:28. When you spoke of the sifting of God’s Good Hand for the purpose of fulfillment, you gave such hope, such courage. God will release His ministry through you. Psalm 81:10. We’ll stay by the baggage back home here in Texas and pray His Praise glorious! You are a beautiful servant of the Word of God, Titus 1:1, for the faith of His people & knowledge of the truth that leads to changed lives! Eat those In-N-Out’s for all of us siestas.

Terrie Jo, Chandler, I am late and I apologize, I didn’t leave a verse last two weeks of Feb. felt God pushing me to perserve and the perfect verse came to me kinda fuzzy so researched it and it is my “relearn” verse for this two weeks.

    Dutchess says:

I just wanted to say that I will continue to pray for you and your (excuse me, God’s) ministry as your prepare to take to the skies. I’m trying so hard not to be envious of those who will get to share in what God has given you. Your passion for God is so contagious and so evident that I’d give just about anything to be at a live event. But that’s all in God’s timing. One day I must sit down and write to tell you all about how you made me not want to just love God but be in love with him. Then perhaps on another occasion, I’ll get to share how I almost saw you in Charlotte, NC. God in His infinite wisdom changed my plans for His plans and… well one day. But know that you have a SIESTA in Winterville NC praying for you and the team and the great work God has so graciously allowed you to share in. The work is His, but you are definitely a blessed and cherished vessel. Prayerfully, Dutchess of Winterville, NC

I’ll be at Seattle, Beth! I’m driving from Eugene, OR, picking up my little sister in Portland, and sleeping at my big sister’s house in Auburn. All 3 of us will be there…kind of like a sisters’ retreat. I’m so looking forward to this event! Praying like crazy for you and your team, praying for the Holy Spirit to invade us and take over, and taking along my custom-made Siesta spiral with my verses!

What are the dates for the Little Rock event? I’ve got a daughter who lives there! Sounds like two good reasons to plan a trip! 🙂

  22. 22

Looking forward to hearing you speak here in Little Rock. I too excepted Christ in Arkansas nearly 36 years ago. My family moved out West, but thankfully my faith came with me and grew along the way. 20 years later, by the grace of God I ended up back in Arkansas. Met my incredible husband and have three wonderful (on most days) boys. The spectacular thing is that I have been ringside to them all coming to know Christ in the same city that I did. Watching their faith and knowledge of their Lord grow, well, as a mom it is the highlight to say the least. To see God bring my life full circle, well not sure I could ask for anymore. Looking forward to April 15 & 16. May God bless your words and speak through you to the women that are so hungry for Him.

YES, YES, YES, I will be at the Tacoma Dome. We have been praying for you and your team. Then for all the women who don’t know Jesus, that they will accept Him right there, that would be cool. I have been to a couple of LPM events and always leave with such an awesome feeling, it’s WOW,I don’t what else to say. I can’t wait. Hope you have an umbrella!

Relistening to Spiritual Mapping…it is part of our Colorado testimony with your voice saying, “Hello Colorado, YOU belong here!” Indeed, those words confirmed a journey we began 7 years ago to the day…Praise Him.

He speaks beautifully through you, dear servant, sister and friend.

PS I had the funniest flight attendant when I went home from Ft. Worth. She cracked me up. I daresay, you might have been just that kind of flight attendant…hee hee!

    Dear Beth,
We have been praying and oh my, I can hardly wait. So blessed to be able to pray with others for you and the specific prayer requests. Such a blessing to hear what the Lord has laid on these amazing women to pray for this time. I see the heavens opening up above the Tacoma Dome and allowing God’s blessings to pour down, reaching not only us that are already sisters and siestas, but so many of the dear downtrodden women needing to know there is hope and a Father’s heart loving them.
This one is a special one for me, as it will be my baby’s (who is turning 12 tomorrow)first ‘real’ Beth Moore event. She has grown up listening to you on DVD and loves you but finally gets to see you like her older sisters already have.
We will continue to pray. Can’t wait to see you.

Hi Beth! I met you and Pricilla at the Houston Galleria this summer when I convinced my 13 yr old son to ask “Are you Beth Moore?” :0) My husband and 4 darlings got such a kick out of seeing their mama’s joy over meeting you!!!

So, I was at a LifeWay bookstore last weekend and saw a flier up that you are coming to Minnesota May 20-21! I e-mailed my girlfriends right away! So excited! I got my wristband in the mail today and can’t wait to be a part of my first Living Proof Live event! Your Bible Studies have led me thru valley’s and over mountains, I am so thankful for how the Lord works thru you to help lead me. Even my 5 year old daughter is on her 2nd year of Beth Moore Bible study because as she told me last year when I tried to get her to be in the children’s room, “Mama- I’z all growed up now and need to be in Bible Study with my friend Beth!” So off she went with her sweet little Bible, journal, and mini coffee mug (a true Scandinavian)! Every time I write in my study book she diligently records her “insights” in her journal. Oh how I pray that she will always have such a strong desire to be studying God’s Word!
    Have a fabulous Thursday!
