Talk about timing !!! I just received an email this morning from my 11-year-old daughter’s teacher voicing concern of her acting insecure. This was a shocker because the child is surrounded by love and support. That enemy can sneak in anywhere!!

Hi, I recently started blogging in hopes to encourage others. I believe as Christians we all have insecurities. Most of us know to take it to the Lord, but it can be hard to leave it there. I was wondering. . . Were you just in my boss’s office with me about an hour ago? You described all the feelings I was having, and unfortunately, the tears fell. Oh how I hate crying at work. I bought my first copy of this book, April 24, 2010. The reason I know the date is because I wrote it inside the front cover. Boy have I struggled with this topic, insecurity, throughout my life. Lately, I’m learning that daughters of the King come in all shapes and sizes and with different talents and I’m learning to see the beauty and not the fear in that. Would love to read what your book has to say on this as well- you have a better way with words then I do! You are a dear sister in Christ Beth, even though we’ve never met!
I’ve printed and hung the quote, “we have to let truth scream louder to our souls than the lies that have infected us” in my office as a daily reminder. I work in community mental health so I am hoping it speaks to my clients as well!
I have never read this book. I’ve read several others, most recently, Audacious, but not this one. I love that it’s in paperback. I am brutal on books because I underline and write all through the ones that really speak to me. So paperbacks are my friend! Would love to win this one!

That’s why I love you so much Sis. Beth. We’ve never met but you have been my mentor for quite some time now. Your life’s story is so relatable, transparent, and authentic. Would you believe that age fifty-something that I still deal with insecurities on a regular basis…to the point where I let it stop me from doing what I know I should be doing??? That’s a very sad commentary at this stage in my life. I used not to be this way. I think I let jealous criticism stop me in my tracks and now I feel useless. Truly, I marvel at the grace of God that He hasn’t called me home yet for being so idle largely due to my insecurities. There’s something wrong with this picture.
