How do you get through being the one with the dream, like Joseph? You know what you’ve seen. Others go through anger, or think you’re nuts and you feel so very alone, but you know you know. Then you start to go to the place you’re called and you get afraid and start doubting. I lose so much ground chasing my tail of doubt and lack of confidence when I should be doing the thing I dreamed. I keep losing days or weeks until something kicks me forward again. Then I do it and I come home and go back to that tail chasing of self doubt, loathing or thinking no way can this ministry keep happening. I stop being productive because of being fearful it’s too big. My heart races. How did you step into the bigger and bigger and keep stepping and moving forward time after time?
I would love to read this, but I’d really love for my teenage daughter to read it. Teens deal with so much comparison on social media. I would love for her to hear your story and what God has taught you about your value.
Thank you, Beth, and all those who work alongside you to bring God’s message of love, mercy, acceptance, challenge, and courage into our lives. i would love to have this book to give to our daughter. she went thru a serious illness when she was a child and copes with many handicaps and a LOT of insecurities. i think it would do her a world of good to hear this from someone other than her mom. thank you so much for your heart for women’s ministries. I am excited that So Long Security is now in paperback. Paperback makes it so much easier to highlight and make notes in. Since I have retired, my security level has dipped because I do not interact with a lot of people like I did before. I know that they can not give me the security that God can but I sometimes miss the camaraderie that I had while I was working. To reread your book and let God give me the security I need would be fantastic and to have the paperback would be much easier for me to use.
I would be blessed by the words in your book– I have been disabled for almost 29 years & am home alone every day. I am isolated which results is feelings of worthlessness & if no value.

I desperately need to work on myself. Not only for me, but for my 16 year-old daughter. She is following in my footsteps and her path is quite a destructive one at the moment. I have attempted to hide my “issues” from my four children but they see my struggles. Hi Beth and LPM peeps! I believe insecurity stems from fear and fear has taken charge for far too long in my life. I am starting a blog that God told me to do almost 7 years ago! Talk about fear and insecurity halting God’s plan. I am on the path to gaining confidence and believing that I am who God says I am. I love Beth and I know “So long Insecurity” will change my life for the better.
My son gave me this book for Christmas when it first came out. I’ve been thinking of getting my teenage daughter her own copy. She likes to write in her books. 🙂
