Hey! I have those same glasses! Try hitting a golf ball with them sometime! It’s not easy! Thank you for finding new ways and words to keep us encouraged! Blessings!
Loved your video, and hi to you too. I have been going through some problems with acid reflux, and my prescribed medicine made it worse because of the side effects. Please agree with me for healing, and God’s directions as to medicine. I have been trying some herbs that I have growing on my back deck. Thank you and God bless you mightly.
And THAT is why we love you! (Well, one of many reasons!) You are a total goofball! Thanks for the fun “hello” and for the Scripture – I’m preparing to teach 10th grade girls for a week of student camp this summer and it’s just the word I needed! (Last year I did a “commissioning” ala Beth for my class at the end of camp – it was awesome! Thanks for inspiration!)
How did I miss this post yesterday?
And where did you get those glasses? I must have some like those for my Sunday School class! I’m thinking maybe an object lesson on — ummm — Bible reading? God’s perspective is different from ours?
Well, I’ll work on that.
Oh, Beth – the first thing I thought of when you held up the overalls is that they were padded for PRAYER. Whatever the purpose, they’re quirky and adorable, and who among us 50ish southern girls doesn’t want to be quirky and adorable?
So glad you’re growing your own veggies – wish y’all could ship some to us in Ecoli-infested Germany. No salad for us!
Meanwhile, my oh-so-serious husband (Lord only knows why in the world he married a complete cut-up like me) just glided past as I was watching your video and said, “Is that Beth Moore? I didn’t know she wore glasses.” AND JUST WENT BACK TO WATCHING TV! I kept waiting for him to smile, and he totally didn’t. I am barely able to type, I am laughing so hard.
Beth, you crack me up! I love how ‘real’ you are. Thank you for that. And Yay for donuts!! ๐
You are the bomb! The scripture was a great encouragement too. Thanks for the fun and the word!
Beth,
What a hoot–you are so funny!!! How is it I’ve never met you face to face but feel like I really know you. Only our precious Jesus could do something like that.
That.was.hilarious.
Thanks for loving us enough to just say hi, Beth. We love you right back, and dearly.
Thank you so much for that word. And I love it when I just need to be cheered up, all I have to do it log onto the blog. Miss my family so much. Everyone and all 10 grandchildren are 4.5 – 6 hours away. Ministry is hard sometimes. ๐
Totally awesome glasses!!! So good to hear your voice and see your smile. You lifted my spirits.
Thanks!
Thank you Beth for being as real as it gets and bringing me closer to our God, You have opened a door for me that actually has always been open but for some reason, you make me see more clearly, more brighter, feel more deeper, its hard to expain, I feel close to Jesus when I am with you, I just finished your Esther study at my Church with some girlfriends, and I have to say that was the beginning of many more studies with you. Your the best,, Bless you and keep you safe always….
Hey Beth – I don’t have much time, because since I taught my kids to play backgammon – that’s all they want me to do now – but thank you for the fun shout out. And may I say; it kinda freaked me out when Kimberly zoomed in for the close up of your face with those glasses on. Yowza! You’re eyes looked a little…..BIG!
Have a fun Saturday ~
Warm in Alaska (but not as warm as Houston).
hahahahahahahahahahahahaaaa! those glasses! and thank you for the word of encouragement…I needed to hear that!
Thanks so much for just saying hi, you made my day!
I was evicted from my home yesterday and have cried ever since. Been sitting in a motel with my 4 boys wondering what to do next..sitting at the laptop I saw your new blog..Thanks…Needed a laugh today!
Hi Crystal – I just said a prayer for you! God will totally provide for you. Just get determined in your head that he will and don’t give up!
Crystalw – my heart and prayers go out to you!
You crack me up! I think you should wear those fine spectacles to Deeper Still next week. Hilarious! Much Love ~ Lisa
Thank you Ms. Beth we love you here in siestaville I love this blog , Thanks for the making me laugh this a.m. needed that had a very ruff week. I need me some of those glasses we ought to all get a pair for SSMT 2012 and wear them LOL and the music loved it.
Have a great weekend
Carol
I love you too!! Thanks for the verses. I have some verses for you too that jumped off the page at me last night “May God bless you with his special favor and wonderful peace as you come to know Jesus, our God and Lord, better and better. As we know Jesus better, his divine power gives us everything we need for living a godly life. He has called us to receive His own glory and goodness”. (2 Peter 1:2-3 NLT)
Love the glasses! The scripture you shared is very dear to my heart…when I was a little girl, our pastor, Dr. Arthur Rich, would close each service by praying it as a benediction over us…I still hear his voice, with his rich Canadian accent, praying those precious words…Hebrews 13:20-21 KJV “Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
And we are equally nuts about YOU!!
Thank you for a bright spot in the day!.
Love you dear!
The scripture you shared was a beautiful, sprinkling of truth for this soul. Thank you!
I just loved that! I must admit that when I first clicked on the blog and saw your sweet face in those glasses I sucked coffee up…then very unladylike, spewed coffee out! But, that’s not bad. I’m one of those slightly wacky humored people that love a good coffee spewing if it means a good, healthy laugh.
Thank you for thinking of us so sweetly, Beth. It had me smiling most of the morning, not to mention being very thankful that God so generously suppplies us with such a great community of believers.
p.s. Hi back, Kimberly and ummm…I feel compelled to say something quirky about that whoopie cushion but for the life of me nothing is coming to mind?! lol
Blessings, Kristi
Hi!
Glad you were thinking about us and just wanted to say “hi”. Sometimes we just want a “hi” from a friend.
It’s only 98 here in the Ozarks, so bring those overalls and come do some gardening.
My eyes are terrible too… but were did you get those glasses…LOL! ๐
I don’t have anything to give you except a big hug and pray that one day I’ll be able to give it to you in person. I’ll be praying that the Lord turns the heat down so you can garden… and for here too…
Love you much and pray for you often.
running back and forth from laptop to pot in kitchen where I’m boiling water as I watched this post. LOVED IT! Thank you for the laugh!
Thanks for the encouragement today! I totally needed that. My 9 month old and 3 year old boys as well as my husband all have type a and b flu right now (for the second time this year) and in the midst of cleaning and doing laundry I’ve been reminding myself to count it all joy… there’s so much we are blessed with. ๐
Thank You for that scripture. I need a reminder every now and then that God is working! Blessings!
Siesta Mama, you are such a hoot! Just what I needed today. Thank you for sharing your life with us. You make me smile (and laugh out loud!) God bless you.
What is the Deeper Still blog, and how do I find it? I am going to the Deeper Still next weekend in Louisville and can hardly wait!!!!!

Thank you so much!! ๐
I love that I can laugh and cry all in one post. Siesta mama making me laugh out loud…and even give me a little headache just looking at those glasses, then the word spoke exactly what my parched heart needed to hear, making me cry.
Only in Siestaville.
Jesus, thank you for this place.
Love y’all.
Oh Thank you, Siesta Mama!! Made my day! We are “nuts about you”, too!! You make my heart smile, my head laugh and sometimes…almost pee (am I allowed to say that on the blog? :0)
Love Ya!
Wow! Such a fun video! Thank you for the great reminder that we can be ourselves with God and each other! May Gid continue to use you and each of us to bless the lives of others!
Hi right back to you! I picked our first fresh peas of the year from the garden this afternoon and thought about those pink overalls while I did. Thanks for the smile and encouragement.

National Donut Day!? HOW DID I MISS THIS??

hahahahaha thank you Beth for giving me a great huge laugh this morning…those glasses…wow… Love you and love this community!
Hi Beth!!!
It was so great to see you last Sunday as you & Keith were walking into church and my kids & I were walking out. Early this morning I read the church bulletin insert card from you and realized that y’all would be joining Curtis & Amanda at the new church plant, so I made sure to watch the 11 am worship service just now on the webcast (we usually attend the evening service and come in the morning for Sunday school class), which was probably a good thing as I had to wipe away a bunch of tears and could do so in private! We will certainly miss y’all!!! But you know, both Tariq and I are so excited for you and your family…this amazing opportunity for you and Keith to labor together with Curtis and Amanda with a completely new work that God is doing. The Lord will be building something–not only the church organization but a whole lot more–that will be lasting for generations. A truly godly heritage. We are sooooo happy for y’all!
We’ll miss you and your family bunches… <> and love ya lots!!
Love,

Yep! Me again! This is too funny! Since you are a gardener Beth, you might understand this! My old garden tiller died a year ago. I have always wanted a rear tine tiller, well, they have since gone up in price since I originally made my wish list. We decided on one of these little dinky tillers they make now. So for last years garden, It worked fine for awhile. I have great expectations every year so my veggie garden is huge and the poor little thing about burned up trying to keep up with the weed war. This spring a next to new rear tine affair came up for sale. It was a great deal so we got it. It has since sat here gleaming in the rain drops for weeks. The rain finally stopped and it dried off enough to start gardening. Two days ago my 6ft 4 inch son who is no small man any way you look at him, started it up! Wow, all those controls on it and gadgets! Amazing! He put it in gear and it took right off! Away it went! all by itself! It is not self propelled either!!! HOLY COW! We tryed to figure ouT where we went wrong and never could. I tried it and I could not corral THE creature either. Yesterday we let the other two of my macho crew try it. It ran off with them too! My hubby tells me”Now don’t let it scare you!” Pretty hard not to when you have 5 horses running wide open down the stretch!” We have it lassoed outside beside a tree right now and are pouring over the instruction book. Scott my youngest 240 lb bruiser says”something’s wrong cuz you are supposed to guide it with one hand!” I just replied “well, that is not all wrong ours runs without anyone guiding it!” I will post if there is a nice used tiller for sale!!!
Beth,
Those glasses are just a hoot!!! Thank you for the encouraging word out of Hebrews.
Love ya dear sister!!
I just received as a gift a new Kindle and would like my second purchase to be a Bible. My first purchase was your Praying God’s Word Day by Day! Can you recommend one please? Thanks so much!
