Hilarious!! And thank you for the scripture. love to you and your team ๐
funny! please pray for my 10 year old daughter, Trinity…she’s a grown up now!!! too young?!?!?!
Thank you, Beth, for “just a word”! You never fail to make me smile, and since this morning is rather a dreary sort of morning, the smile was very much needed! Blessings ;D
Your video provided some much needed laughter this morning. More so a much needed word. Thank you! Those verses are going on a note card! I just had a year of health issues that resulted in surgery. Looks like I may be there again. Praying through to not let my mind develop a stronghold of “the worst case scenario” thinking. I have way too many good things going on right now for that to happen.
Love to all the Siestas!
Thanks for sharing your humor and God’s Word. SO, needed that passage this morning. Lydia’s next MRI is June 24th. Seems like before every MRI I start over-analyzing every little thing concerning Lydia. Trying my best to “not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” (Phil. 4:6) Praying for calm nerves and good results.
Walking by Faith,
Stacey

I will pray for Lydia..lots of love to you
โฅ. Thanks for praying for my girl.
I prayed for Lydia just this morning and wondered how she was doing. Please know that she is on my ongoing prayer list and so many others like mine. Oh, Jesus, continue to be so evident.
My heart brims with gratitude for faithful prayer warriors such as you, Mama Beth. So thankful for every day He has given her! She continues to look and feel very well and no doubt, Jesus gets all the glory! Every day is such a gift. I asked her the other night how she felt about her life. She responded she loved her life except for MRIs, doctor’s appts., dentist’s appts,. and her 2 little brothers that are too loud sometimes. She then thought it may be a good idea to sell them in the yard sale for 2ยข each! ๐
Sweet funny Beth!!! I want you to know that this has been a heavy and serious week for me. God gave me this video and scripture from you as a cool and refreshing drink of water. First thing after watching, I got down forehead to floor and laughed out loud WITH the LORD. He’s not just the Lord of serious things and His delight is laughing with us!!!
God mightily bless your day and fill it with laughter!!!
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer & petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Phil 4:6

YOU make me laugh! Love it!
Nothing much to say…yeah right. Beth you crack me up. I jumped out of my skin cause I had the volume up and thought it was just you and it was a macharachi band, then the close up of you, my what big eyes you have (the better to see us with oh dear). I had a thought maybe your new gardening overalls would make a good prayer “robe” until the cool weather comes to Texas. And we know when that will be. Thank you for giving me a chuckle I am nuts about you and the LPM team and love you bunches back.
Beth this is a child LPM may want to reconsider Travis if he keeps using whoopie cushions she would be the only one I could see replacing him. (grin)

My dear sweet Beth, Always such a hoot to check out the blog and see your smiling face. The scripture that you read has been floating around in my life so much this month, so I guess it will really have to be the next scripture in my spiral. You are too funny. Love you, Lynda
Thanks Beth, that was so fun! ๐ Love to meet you some day!
Most precious words of scripture to…
You have always been able to make me laugh, and see my Lord in all different ways, and look beautiful doing it!
*grin* You are such a goofball! *grin*
Yea! It worked!. You made me laugh this morning and you are such a blessing..thinking of the scripture that says “I will bless you and you will be a blessing” and you certainly are.

Beth, Thank you sooo much for your hello!!! You are a good dose of humor and love when I need one. I will be joining you in the heat of Texas in a few months as I will be moving to San Antonio!!! Yeah, I will be close enough to come see you at event live sometime!!! I may never get to meet but know you are always in my heart. Thank you for writing about how Insecurity, the old friend and pound sand. :o) It was definitely liberating. Blessings on your weekend!!!
Regards,
Elizabeth
I meant that insecurity can go pound sand through the Scripture pounding it down. Sorry for the typo.
Regards,
Elizabeth
thought about this video again as i checked things int eh garden this morning. i thanked god aloud for the cantaloupe that is finally taking off. and again when i harvested cilantro and oregano….pretty cool to GROW OUR OWN FOOD! it’s our first garden in a number of years and my husband just plowed up our whole front yard for it! so we can sit on the front porch to watch it grow.
Awesome!!! thankful for the giggle today. I knew it was national donut day – but was thankful to learn from this blog why it is national donut day. I am sad though – it was too crazy a day to join the celebration. ๐ will have to celebrate soon though!
Could I ask for prayers from siestaville for my daughter? She just turned 27. She is the one who had cancer when she was 1 and is now a doctor who beginning in July will be taking care of kids with cancer. (only the Lord can redeem like that!!) Anyway, she has a 9 cm tumor again and is having major surgery June 13th. She was awarded resident doctor of the year for the second year in a row last night and still cares so much about her patients even while she herself is in much pain. Please pray that it is not cancerous this time, for a speedy recovery, and that the Lord is glorified thru it all. Thanks so much siestas!!
We love you too Beth!!! ๐ Thanks so much for the laugh…have a wonderful weekend!
What a thrill it always is to be a part of this group! Beth, God uses you to speak to me often, but sometimes He uses you to give me a good laugh! You funny girl!
Oh thank you so much for the laugh and even more for the scripture! This has been an unusually trying week and I neeed a moment to refocus! Thanks again!
So fun! =) I know a little guy who I bet would LOVE a woopie…I know my lil man would get a terrible little kick out of it!
Wonderful Word! …but it always is, isn’t it?! I may have to consider adding that one to my memory list! Funny SN…it’s always such an additional challenge picking ONE verse to commit to memory! They’re all so AWESOME! Thanking Jesus for his gift to us.
Thank you for the sweet hello! Blessings to the whole LPM team, thank you ALL for ALL you do! Until next time, Siestas! <3
Happy morning to you, too. What an unexpected little lift.
Oh, my! God does indeed equip us for a good work to His glory BUT gardening is not my gift so would you please, please, please share your wonderful bounty from your garden and I promise you I will find something God has equipped me with to repay you!! So enjoyed a little chuckle this morning.
I missed National Donut Day????
I was so seriously woo\orried when I first tuned in — thinking you had cataract surgery or had splashed your eyes with Miracle-Gro while gardening or some other horrid thing. I looked back through the posts to see if you noted it in any other posts & when I didn’t find it, I realized you were joking around. Ha! Did I mention gullible? I did my own funny post for National Donut Day:

hahahahaha!!!!! HILARIOUS! One Christmas, my sister, brother and I were trying to take a sentimental photo with my mom and she busted out with these glasses and we laughed our heads off! My mom is a devoted Siesta, too, so I told her to check the blog while on their vacation at Yellowstone so she could see her twin!!!
This was so cute!
You look hilarious in those glasses, which I assume were for the Deeper Still blog video. And while I CAN picture Priscilla wearing a similar pair, I can’t wrap my brain around Kay wearing those…. Too funny!
Love your overalls, but it was hard to see the exact color! Are they really pink????
Love and hugs,
Adrienne
Beth,
It seems you have truly said “So Long Insecurity”. Only a very secure person could show up INTENTIONALLY with those bug eye glasses and make us laugh so much! Thank you for allowing us to see all facets of your personalty and your heart in Jesus! Can’t wait to see you next month in Charlotte!
Too funny!
I love the padded overalls. lol
What a great Siesta Momma!!! I needed THOSE words TODAY. Praise His Name.
You know just how to put a smile in my day! I’m home for the summer from college and just got home from driving my mom to surgery and this was just what I needed after a hard morning. Love your encouragement!
Oh my gosh, this was hilarious! Thank you for the belly laugh! God is sure good to let us know when we just need to quit being so serious, and just enjoy the life He’s given to us! Thank you for that giggle in my spirit, Beth! It made my day!
love you!! nuff said.
;}
julie
Apparently Mama Beth ate one to many donuts. She is a hot mess with those glasses… haha
Amanda & Melissa, thank you for not locking your mother up. She makes me laugh. haha.
Love ya,
Shannon
Dear Beth, Thanks for the laughter and the Scripture. What a welocme surprise this was!
Have a super weekend.
Love you much,
Pam
To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit.
1Cor. 12:7 NAB
I LOVE IT!!! Thanks so much for the Scripture at the end from Hebrews. I’ve just finished reading the book of Hebrews and God has been prompting me to lead a ladies Bible study this summer. That Scripture was just like icing on the cake! I just know I’ve got to get it done somehow.
Hope to see more video clips on here in the future. They are so much more personal in some ways. Thanks again, Beth. God Bless.
Thanks for the smile you and the Lord brought to my face today. I’m thinking those glasses are the next best thing to my favorite mascara! My daughters convinced me that a trip to Krispy Kreme was necessary yesterday and we got our free donuts! What I learned from that trip was that National Donut Day has been around for a very long time, since 1938, by the Salvation Army in thanks to the women that served our soldiers during WWI!
Thanks for the encouraging word that was needed, the smile on my face and your sweet love! Love you back!
sweet beth – you are so funny and you never quit! i just love your precious self – thank you for the way you share your sweet love for God in so many ways.. and.. i DIG those glasses!!
love you!
Thank you for this. Made me smile and I soooo needed the Word at the end. I have struggled this week with my purpose in this season of my life. I spent a wonderful 10 days in another country visiting a friend who is a military wife and stay at home Mama. And after sharing her life for 10 days – the daily in and out of raising children, keeping a lovely and inviting home, ministering to everyone that she comes in contact with and serving her country – I feel that what I’m doing at this stage in my life is woefully eternally insignficant to what she’s doing for the Kingdom.
I know it’s not right to compare and I believe that the Lord does have a purpose in me just working right now…my co-workers are my mission field. Yet as someone who has longed and believed that I’m called to be a stay at home wife and Mama – I struggle with the lack of eternal significance I have right now. I know it’s not for me to question God’s plans, and I know His plans for me are good (Jer 29:11-13) – as well as Him being able to do with me, now or in the future, more than I can dream of (Eph 3:16-21). It’s just sometimes I, in my sinful nature and at times wayward and inpatient heart, feel like I should be doing more.
I have a newfound appreciation, after living beside my friend and her husband and their precious 3 children, how difficult being a stay at home Mama and military wife really is. I had no idea. No I do. So to all of you Mamas (stay at home or otherwise) – and wives (military or not), I salute you. Your are raising up the next generation and there is no higher calling than that.
Thanks, Siesta Mama, for your Word and encouragement today. You made me smile and focus for a moment NOT on me, and I needed that! ๐
I โฅ you! I need to get me some of those glasses – my preschoolers would get a kick out of them!
