And finally, what’s your favorite Francine Rivers book? Mine’s the Mark of the Lion series. I wish I could read it all over again for the first time.
Definitely "Mark of the Lion" ~ haven't read anything like it since (or before).
Wish I could be in Houston with you all this weekend!

Redeeming Love is a heartbreak in the most beautiful, amazing way! Man is His love showcased in this story!
Redeeming Love!!
I live in Pennsylvania…..wish I could go to the book signing:(
I've only read one of Francine Rivers' books. Can you guess which one? Yep…Redeeming Love. ๐ It was a wonderful read. I'll have to add the Mark of the Lion, A Lineage of Grace, and The Last Sin Eater to my "books to read" list.
Oh to live in Texas! Never knew I would want to live there, but this weekend sure would be a good time for it. Where's my suitcase?
Redeeming Love – I keep extra copies to give away. My first copy was shared among four or five women before making it's way back to me.
So glad all you girls get to delight in God in such a fun way this weekend!!
Wow, wish I could get down there!!! Sounds like you have been up here in my neck of the woods, Amanda. Hope you all have had some East Texas fun!
I love Francine Rivers and Beth Moore. My favorite of Francine's is the Mark of the Lion series. First one I read of hers. Totally captivating.
If only we all lived in Texas…. ๐
"Redeeming Love" is my fave, but I also love "The Scarlet Thread" by Mrs. Rivers.
Last time Francine Rivers came up on this blog I brought 'redeeming love' and thought it was great -although my Mother in law wasn't impressed with it when I lent it to her!
Have just seen this and popped to Amazon and brought 'voice in the wind' and 'echo in the darkness'
Thanks for the reccommendation Ladies!
Mark of the Lion series is my favorite. We were already overseas when I read the first one and I got to the end before I realized it was a series- I called my mom in a panic to get her to send me the last two! "Redeeming Love" is a close second though.
My favorite is "Redeeming Love" although the "Mark of the Lion" series is a close 2nd. Her newest "Her Mother's Hope" is also very good.
Shut your mouth!!! You've got to be kidding me! Wish I lived in Texas. Those are 2 of my faves too!! I can't wait to get my hands on this one. . . it's been a long time since she's had a new one. Mark of the Lion series is my ALL-TIME favorite fiction books.
I saw the itinerary on the website a week or so ago and wished I lived in Texas!
I loved the mark of the lion series. Read them over a few times like watching a good movie over again.
I received my,Her Mother's Hope this week, too. I am saving it for a trip in April…it's killing me looking at it up on the shelf! Hope those book signing events are great.

OH, I love Francine Rivers too. A few years ago I took the first and maybe the second book of Mark of the Lian on vacation (can't remember). My husband wanted a book to read too. I told him he probably would enjoy mine. That was a big mistake. He loved it so much he bagan reading it and at one point we were trying to read the same book at the same time in different places. It was tricky.
The character Hadassah fleshed out servanthood for me. I've begun reading it to my sons 10 and 13 at night.
I'd love to be at one of those signings but live two far away.
Blessings,
Janet in NC
Oh how I wish I had joined this blog a few months ago. I am only on chapter 3 of So Long Insecurities and God has spoken to me through Beth two times so far. Her words are confirming nudges I have had for a few years.
I am not familiar with Francine Rivers, but be assured, I will put that on the list……..
Looking forward to this journey with you all.
And Beth…..thanks you!
Oh, I just signed in because I just got my So Long Insecurity book. I used a gift certificate to order it and order the new Francine Rivers at the same time. Well, this organization waited for them both to be out before they sent them. Now I have this feast before me and I just don't know what to do. Yes, I do. I am going back to the start of the SLI discussions and catching up. And I will hide my Francine Rivers until Michigan spring break which is a couple weeks.
Favorite Francine Rivers book–The Scarlet Thread. The Lord used it to awaken me out of some long term mediocrity and made me hungry for some Scripture.
OK, now to find that first post on SLI…Terri
I like how the Mark of the Lion weaves together. The Last Sin Eater is gripping also.
My favorite book by Francine Rivers is "Redeeming Love." I can't wait to read her newest book! Reading Christian Fiction encourages me in my daily walk with Christ. When I can't physically interact with other women because I'm busy with my two children, connecting with the characters in Christian fiction gives an extra boost to my day. We are so blessed to have these bookS
Without a doubt "Redeeming Love"
Redeeming Love tops the list for me at this point. I just think that book is amazing! Close second and third…Scarlet Thread and Leota's Garden. Can't decide which order ๐
Blessings to all of you.
I with you..Mark of the Lion Series….I came across them about 10 year ago and they were the first Christian fiction books I had ever read! They were awesome and opened up a whole new world for me!
Oh how I wish I were in Texas… if anyone has a free ticket from GA, let me know! Have a good Friday!
Redeeming Love is my very favorite all time book. I could not put it down and have recommended it to everyone.
Wish I were going to be in Texas. Sounds like fun. I love all of Francine Rivers books & am thrilled she has a new one!
Forever His,

I hadn't heard that Francine Rivers has a new book out.
So excited.
Love her work.
My favorite? Golly, not sure I can choose.
Leota's Garden is one of my tops.
Redeeming Love
I'll be on a retreat with our Women's Ministry Team. However, I got tickets to a live taping (for Beth)in May and I'm ecstatic. Maybe she could invite Francine to that so we could make up for next weekend. ๐
I love Francine's Unspoken series. Especially the one about Bathsheba. I have read it several times.
my favorite is the Mark of the Lion series too, with Redeeming Love following closely behind. This post and all these comments are making me feel the need to go back and re-read some of her books…and go get this new one I didn't even know about!
I LOVE Francine Rivers' books — the first one I ever read was "Redeeming Love" — wow! Can't wait to get her new one. Wish I lived closer — I would definitely be at one of these book signings! Beth AND Francine Rivers — are you KIDDING?! ๐
Like many other of my siestas how I wish I could fly to Texas. When y'all did the "what's your favorite book" post I couldn't believe how over half of the posts said "Redeeming Love". I had never read but felt the urgency and it did not disappoint! I love that book! Well, now I'm feeling like I need to read the Mark of the Lion books too!! I love you guys!!
Why, oh why, did God move us to Arkansas??? ๐ I'd love to be at one of those signings.
"And the Shofar Blew" is my favorite Rivers book. It isn't as well-known, but I guess being a minister's wife, it greatly impacted my prayer life.
That's quite a book signing event! Lucky Texan ladies ๐
Favorite Francine Rivers book… I don't know if I can completely choose… my first experience with a FR book was when I was about 14/15 and an avid reader… A friend of my mother loaned me the Mark of the Lion series which I read under my covers at night with a flash light! My very conservative mother likely would have thought they were too graphic/discriptive for me at that time… ๐ I guess I should confess my sneakiness, but once I started I could NOT put them down! Need to re-read…
The Lineage of Grace series opened my eyes to see those biblical women in a whole new light that I could relate too… wow.
I think the only book I didn't get, and again, I read it way too young, was the Sin Eater. Need to read it again since I've enjoyed all her other books.
But favorite… I do think it's Redeeming Love. Such a story of grace, forgiveness and love. Only the heart of God could offer that, and I'm so thankful I have received that same love, forgiveness and GRACE that Angel received… what a wonderful picture of God's heart.
Sorry – long post… I get excited when I talk about books! haha
My favorite so far have been "Redeeming Love" and The Mark of the Lion series. However, I think this new book may become a life-changing read for me. My mother had issues with her mother(my grandmother), I had issues with my Mom, and my oldest daughter and I have issues. I am so anxious to read this book to gain useful insight into this dilemma. Francine Rivers can write such powerful, thought-provoking, life-altering fiction. Can't wait to get my hands on it! Also, I have heard via Mrs. Rivers Facebook page that they are in the planning stages of turning Redeeming Love into a movie. Let's hope they stay true to the message and story line and don't ruin it.
I cannot imagine having two more dynamic authors from my life in a room together. Mark of the Lion series and Redeeming Love are powerful pieces of fiction that bulge with the intensity of real Christian life. Of course, Beth has the rare gift from God to say and write what all of us are secretly thinking. She reminds me of the words of an older hymn (May the Mind of Christ My Savior): May His beauty rest upon me
As I seek the lost to win,
And may they forget the channel,
Seeing only Him.
"Redeeming Love" is one of my favorite books of all time! Francine and Beth are my top two favorite authors of our day!
I am freaking out!! Oh, how I would love to meet my top 2 favorite authors. My favorite Francine books are…
1. Redeeming Love
2. The Atonement Child
3. The Last Sin Eater
I love all of Francine Rivers books. She is awesome. I am amazed at how much research goes into her books. Miss Bibby is an awesome author as well. Wish I could be there!!
How cool is that! The only one I have read is "Redeeming Love" and I loved it. My daughter-in-law is a huge Francine Rivers fan and loaned the book to me. I would love to read more of her books. Have fun!!!
Redeeming Love…I could not put it down. One of the best books I have ever read.
mark of the lion series – hands down. hadassah makes me want to be closer to Christ. you gotta love when fiction drives you to Jesus! i am beyond pumped that she has written another novel. the novelette's were good, but i wanted me a good novel from the bestest! this just made my day so much better! thanks!!
Oh I love the Mark of the Lion series!! Got introduced to Francine Rivers' books about the same time as your mum's Bible studies (while on mission in Ethiopia – American missionaries there ) Feel like I'm onto a secret that now many of my fellow Church going Brits know about – though I tell everyone I can!! Haha!
Enjoy the signing – they sound brill.
Heledd
Really wishing I lived in Houston right about now! I have a signed copy of Redeeming Love. Francine spoke at a Women's Christmas dinner at our church and she was so gracious to autograph our books.
Praying everyone enjoys the time together.
Redeeming Love for sure!! I had no idea Francine Rivers had a new book out!! I am getting it ASAP!! I am so excited!! A new book for spring break!!! WooHoo!!!

I love all of her books but have two that vie for favorite – "Redeeming Love" and "Atonement Child". Power message behind both of them. These are the times I miss Texas the most!
May God bless your time together and fill it with laughter and fun!
"Redeeming Love"!!! When I got to the end of the book I was a complete mess. I was sobbing like a little girl. It was such a beautiful picture of God welcoming us home no matter where we have been, and that His love will always be there. Francine & Beth are both amazing writers! Wish I could be there.
Christy
AAAHHHH!! I'm so very jealous of you girls in Houston!!! I would LOVE to be there…my absolute, hands down two fav authors together!!! There isn't a book of Francines that I don't like, but I have to say that The Atonement Child really opened my eyes. Of course, who wouldn't want a Marcus in their life either!!
I know it's been said, but Redeeming Love is by far one of my all time favorite books.
Have fun this weekend!
So funny, I just opened my package from CBD that had Francine Rivers new book in it… Now I'll ship it to my daughter in Nashville as a sweet surprise!! My favorite, Redeeming Love…
I loved the "Atonement Child",…such a powerful book! I wish I still lived in Texas!
I got hooked on Francine Rivers with Redeeming Love – but my favorite is the Mark of The Lion series – I had given my copies away so 2 years ago I ordered the series for ME and saved them to read during a surgery recovery – pure delight… Was blessed to have dinner with Francine a couple of years ago when she spoke for our Pregnancy Care Event – very down to earth – a quiet and gentle spirit – can't wait to get my hands on her new book… Malinda / Oregon
Leota's Garden and Redeeming Love are my favorites of Francine Rivers' books.
