That's quite a book signing event! Lucky Texan ladies ๐Ÿ™‚

Favorite Francine Rivers book… I don't know if I can completely choose… my first experience with a FR book was when I was about 14/15 and an avid reader… A friend of my mother loaned me the Mark of the Lion series which I read under my covers at night with a flash light! My very conservative mother likely would have thought they were too graphic/discriptive for me at that time… ๐Ÿ™‚ I guess I should confess my sneakiness, but once I started I could NOT put them down! Need to re-read…

The Lineage of Grace series opened my eyes to see those biblical women in a whole new light that I could relate too… wow.

I think the only book I didn't get, and again, I read it way too young, was the Sin Eater. Need to read it again since I've enjoyed all her other books.

But favorite… I do think it's Redeeming Love. Such a story of grace, forgiveness and love. Only the heart of God could offer that, and I'm so thankful I have received that same love, forgiveness and GRACE that Angel received… what a wonderful picture of God's heart.

Sorry – long post… I get excited when I talk about books! haha

    Mary Lou says:

My favorite so far have been "Redeeming Love" and The Mark of the Lion series. However, I think this new book may become a life-changing read for me. My mother had issues with her mother(my grandmother), I had issues with my Mom, and my oldest daughter and I have issues. I am so anxious to read this book to gain useful insight into this dilemma. Francine Rivers can write such powerful, thought-provoking, life-altering fiction. Can't wait to get my hands on it! Also, I have heard via Mrs. Rivers Facebook page that they are in the planning stages of turning Redeeming Love into a movie. Let's hope they stay true to the message and story line and don't ruin it.

  33. 183
    Amanda says:

I cannot imagine having two more dynamic authors from my life in a room together. Mark of the Lion series and Redeeming Love are powerful pieces of fiction that bulge with the intensity of real Christian life. Of course, Beth has the rare gift from God to say and write what all of us are secretly thinking. She reminds me of the words of an older hymn (May the Mind of Christ My Savior): May His beauty rest upon me
As I seek the lost to win,
And may they forget the channel,
    Seeing only Him.

I'll be on a retreat with our Women's Ministry Team. However, I got tickets to a live taping (for Beth)in May and I'm ecstatic. Maybe she could invite Francine to that so we could make up for next weekend. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I love Francine's Unspoken series. Especially the one about Bathsheba. I have read it several times.

Like many other of my siestas how I wish I could fly to Texas. When y'all did the "what's your favorite book" post I couldn't believe how over half of the posts said "Redeeming Love". I had never read but felt the urgency and it did not disappoint! I love that book! Well, now I'm feeling like I need to read the Mark of the Lion books too!! I love you guys!!

Why, oh why, did God move us to Arkansas??? ๐Ÿ™‚ I'd love to be at one of those signings.

"And the Shofar Blew" is my favorite Rivers book. It isn't as well-known, but I guess being a minister's wife, it greatly impacted my prayer life.

Sorry – long post… I get excited when I talk about books! haha

Oh I love the Mark of the Lion series!! "Redeeming Love"!!! When I got to the end of the book I was a complete mess. I was sobbing like a little girl. It was such a beautiful picture of God welcoming us home no matter where we have been, and that His love will always be there. Francine & Beth are both amazing writers! Wish I could be there.

I got hooked on Francine Rivers with Redeeming Love – but my favorite is the Mark of The Lion series – I had given my copies away so 2 years ago I ordered the series for ME and saved them to read during a surgery recovery – pure delight… Was blessed to have dinner with Francine a couple of years ago when she spoke for our Pregnancy Care Event – very down to earth – a quiet and gentle spirit – can't wait to get my hands on her new book… Malinda / Oregon
