And finally, what’s your favorite Francine Rivers book? Mine’s the Mark of the Lion series. I wish I could read it all over again for the first time.
I'll be honest with you, I went out and bought Redeeming Love because everyone and their mother on this blog said they had read it…but its hard for me to read. It is a gnarly story and frankly I didn't have the bravery to finish it. This new one looks really good. Darn it, yet again I find myself wishing I lived in Texas.
Siesta OC <><
Yes ma'am. Francine Rivers is my second favorite author. Can you guess who number one is???
Redeeming Love is one of her books I read – some parts of it were hard for me to read, but I love the way it shows how God is persistent in putting people in our path to change our lives. I have people in my life, that have so enriched my spiritual journey – and I had many opportunities to know them sooner; but I made choices that led me a different direction.
These are my two favorite authors too. Wish I was closer so I could go to a book signing. I am so excited that Francine Rivers has a new book out. Mark of the Lion series is my favorite too, but The Atonement Child really made me think.

1. Redeeming Love!!!

Woo Hoo!! This is one of those days I wished I lived in Houston! My favorite Francine Rivers book is And The Shofar Blew, favorite Beth Moore??? ALL of them!
Oh yes! The Mark of the Lion series was definitely my favorite, although Redeeming Love was a VERY close second!
Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. I cried, talked out loud (to the characters)cheered and sobbed and couldn't put that book down for 3 days! Wish I didn't live 2000 miles away or I'd be first in line for 2 of my favorite authors of all time!!
Yes, the Mark of the Lion series is my favorite too so far. It transported me back to that time period, and made me appreciate in a new way what all the early believers went through after the destruction of Jerusalem. Fascinating! (Redeeming Love is a close second!)
Karen, Yorba Linda, CA
Redeeming Love or Atonement Child!
This lady and your mama are the two most influential female writers in my life!! I met Francine for coffee once as a 17-year-old writer-wanna-be. She's so kind. Now if only I could meet your mother over a cup of coffee ๐ Or at these awesome book signings! Would they consider coming to Europe where I've relocated?? ๐
God bless the lives of all the women who will make it to the book signings and bless & encourage the writers doing the signing!
Atonement Child… couldn't put it down!
Trish, Canada
my favorite Francine Rivers book is Redeeming Love and then The Atonement Child. Excellent author!
Mines Redeeming Love. I loved it. Have fun at the signings.
Wow Amanda what a duo! Both have impacted me over the years! When I went on Francine's site I fell even more in love with her heart for God. I have waited a long time for this book. I can't pick a favorite with her…she is my favorite fiction writer bar none! May God bless them and continue using them both to His glory! I wish we could have some "heart" on tour in Washington also ๐
Beth Moss
Would love to but is a might to far from here. Manitoba Canada
I love most of Francine Rivers' books absolutely loved A Scarlet Thread, Atonement Child, And The Shofar Blew, Leota's Garden… it is hard to pick just one favorite ๐

Oh man…you guys need to come out to NYC!!!! We have a HUGE Barnes and Noble here. I love Francine Rivers ..my favorite is Redeeming Love!!!!
Oh to be in Texas right now! What two great authors is right! My favorite Francine River's book is Redeeming Love! Can't wait to get her new book-after I have read Beth;s ๐
I would scream too! Oh how I wish I lived closer, I would be there in a heartbeat. I feel like both of you are my good friends and have touched my heart in many ways. The Mark of the Lion series are my favorite too, but Redeeming Love makes me sob every time I read it!
I would just love to look in both of your eyes and say Thank You with all my heart. Please pass on my love to Francine!
REDEEMING LOVE!!!! I am not a fiction book reader at all but that one a friend gave to me as a gift several years ago, i picked it up one Saturday afternoon and I could not put it down until I finished it two days later (i seriously do not think i had read anything that fast since i read cliff notes in high school….all the time….i confess)
That is a FABULOUS duo! I love The Scarlet Thread by Francine…okay, I love everything she's written, but that's the one I've read more times than I care to share. ๐
Any chance they will come to VIRGINIA!? =)
Definitely, Mark of the Lion series. I read the last book first before realizing it was a series. Of course, I had to read it again–in order:-)
Love Francine Rivers. The Mark of the Lion series definitely ranks up there as my top fave. I've read every book. Can't say I've found a bad one. Excited about the new one. Loving your mom's So Long Insecurity too. Been an eye opener for sure. Wish I lived somewhere remotely close so I could come. I'd love to have autographed copies of each and meet such amazing women.
Oh, Redeeming Love! I've read them all, but I keep coming back to this one. I even bought a new copy and read it again last summer at the beach. I LOVE that book! Wish I lived in Texas! ๐
I loved the 'Mark of the Lion' series too; the first book is my favorite of the three. And I confess, I tried to read 'Redeeming Love', but I got so annoyed by the way the character "Angel" acted that I just quit reading…. I know it is supposed to be a modern version of Hosea, but I rather just read Hosea in the Bible.
Wish I lived in Houston! I'd be there for the book signing.
Love,
Adrienne
Mark of the Lion series or possibly The Atonement Child. Loved them!
A little over a year ago one of you girls asked for a favorite book. There were so many responders that said, "Redeeming Love," that I read it. I was blown away. I almost had to take time off to read it because I couldn't put it down! I just got the newest book. I am about half way through reading #1 in the Mark of the Lion series.
So cool, wish I lived in TX!
( I wish this often,love S.A)
my favorite is also Mark of the Lion series but also loved Bathsheba in the women of faith novella series!
Oh I wish I were in Texas! I love both those authors, I ordered Francine River's book and it's on my Kindle already! I'm reading her Lineage of Grace series right now, it really fleshes out the amazing stories of the 5 women in Christ's family – Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary. I get emotional just thinking about God's grace in allowing each of these flawed and some gentile women into His Son's lineage! And Francine's first novel – Redeeming Love – who doesn't love that book?
Bridget – Phoenix
Wow- that IS exciting news! Two of MY very favorite authors, too!!!! I was wondering when Francine Rivers was going to come out with another one- I have read them all. I know that will be a fun time for anyone getting to see those two fine and talented ladies together!
Fran
Wow! I wish I lived in TX! Ha! I absolutely loved Redeeming Love by Ms. Rivers. I have looked at the Mark of the Lion series before but I've never read it. And of course I have completely enjoyed anything by Ms. Beth. You girls sound like you have a wonderful weekend coming up – especially getting to be with your sister! I miss mine so much – haven't seen her since Jan. 2. We are overdue a visit!
Love,
Kristen from TN
Yes, the Mark of the Lion series is my absolute favorite! But Redeeming Love is pretty amazing too! I'm so excited she has a new book out! I think I just might have to order it tonight ๐
I loved the Mark of the Lion series too! But I especially loved The Last Sin Eater and Redeeming Love (of course:) So glad you let us know about her new book because I wasn't aware it was coming out. Yeah, great reading for my spring break in a couple of weeks!
redeeming love!!!
How exciting!
I would have to say my favorites are a tie between Mark of the Lion and Redeeming Love.
I hope to get to go to the Southlake appearance tomorrow!

Scarlet Thread is my favorite. I am so excited for you all. Francine Rivers is an amazing author – – – – they both are! That will be a very busy day at the bookstore!
Mark of the Lion series for me too. I could not put those books down.
Waco?! We're totally in the middle!
The first book I read of Francine Rivers' was Redeeming Love. The Mark of the Lion is my favorite, too. What a great combination of authors!
Never read her but my mom keeps telling me to read redeeming love. Now I think I have to read it! Love good books – thanks for the recommendation ๐
Can Texas move a little north please?!? My only complaint about Mama Beth and Francine Rivers is that they haven't written enough!! ๐ Wish I were in the Lone State!
Ok, you already know how much we love our Beth! Couldn't live without that crazy awesome woman all up in our face with blow-your-mind truths of God all.the.time!
Let's move along to Francine Rivers… she has rocked my world on more than one occasion! Favorite? Gosh, that's hard, definitely either The Mark of the Lion series or Redeeming Love. Her best. Soooooo darn jealous I'm not in TEXAS!!!!! Aghhhhh!
Can my favorite be all?!
If you make me choose, I guess it would be "Atonement Child".
Can't wait to get my hands on this one! It has been a long wait.
Hi…I am just a lurker, but had to post that my favorite Francine Rivers book is "Redeeming Love" So close to my story. I am in Nashville, but you guys enjoy the Texas book tour and I will be jealous. ๐

I wish I lived in Texas!!!! What an event – hope you enjoy meeting Mrs. Rivers.
My favorite Francine Rivers book: Redeeming Love
Redeeming Love…best book ever! After reading it, I called my Mom to tell her how she had to read this book! When I called, I was crying so hard, my Mom thought my dog had died or something terrible. I kept telling her it was because the book was so good was why I was crying. lol
Redeeming Love is my favorite Francine Rivers book. I can't wait to read her new book.
