And here’s my boy. We were enjoying some leftover birthday cake with milk to wash it down, hence the mustache.

Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! We’ll be spending ours at church. Does anyone else go to church on Wednesday nights? We go to fellowship supper and then Curtis teaches a Bible study class. What do you do?

I spent part of this Wed night directing traffic, on a major roadway, in the dark, during rush hour, in 29' weather.

Our son's car "died" as he was on his way to Youth Group. The Youth Pastor (my new hero) hurried there and we arrived soon after.

For the 10 minutes he was by himself, in a car that would not move, hundreds of cars went slowly by…and one woman asked if he needed help. (Maybe a Siesta? ; ) He knew we were almost there, so he thanked her for the offer.

The car was towed and everyone got safely on their way. On the way home, I kept thanking the Lord for His protection and mercy. But I told Him how frustrated I was that not one man stopped or offered to help our son.

God answered and said, "I stopped. I was there."

He was. Thank You, Father, that You are always with our children.

Then we break-out in small groups and read some additional scriptures related to the subjects. Food is available before and after in the Connections Cafe.. Wednesdays are crazy when your kids get older & have after school activities & nutty homework. For a season, my hubby & I have had to give up choir b/c that's a super late night. Current routine is we're totally crazy people running like headless chickens til we get to church, {we don't eat there, but I run through & say hi to my peeps}, then I lead a women's bible study & hubs attends service while kiddos are in AWANA & youth activities.

Cherry on the sundae part after a victorious bible study where our ladies are having revelation breakthru's? Coming home, getting my peeps to bed {then getting up in my bed all comfy} & watching Beth on Life Today at 9:30pm! Hubby watches too & shouts out a few Amens & Hallelujah glory's. I love my crazy Wednesdays from beginning to end!
    Joyfully,

Our Small Group meets. Five couples get together, get in the word and do life. We just finished the Daniel study with Beth. Of course the girls loved it and some of the guys said it was the hardest thing they had ever done!

We are in Franklin Tenn and our church, Cumberland Church, is apart of North Point out of Atlanta. Our small group has been together for more than a year now and I have seen so much growth. Of course my sweet man and I are the oldest and have walked a lot of life so I am enjoying watching these "new" babies learn more and more about God being willing to make us willing.

    Yvonne says:

Love the pictures of the kiddos!!! We don't go to church, but rather have Date night. We usually go to dinner and then do a couples Bible study or Book study that pertains to marriage. My husband travels a great deal as the Sunday School department director of the Kentucky Baptist Convention. For some strange reason, Wednesday night is the night he is gone the least. I guess churches want to contineu their normal activities on Wednesday night and do Sunday School/discipleship training at other times. In all the years he served on church staff, we were there, so at first this seemed for strange for both of us. However, we felt it important to set aside one night, even it if was Wednesday for us. Traveling can take a toll on a marriage and we guard that time on Wednesday vehemently.

Hope your Wednesday was a great one!

We go to Church on Wednesdays. Sometimes we eat the meal before services start. Then I attend a Bible study class which is 95% of the time a Beth Moore Bible study. We have two weeks left of the newest "Breaking Free" and then we already have the Revelation materials and dvds ready to go. I'm looking forward to digging into that book.
I loved the pictures of Jackson and Annbeth – the ones where Jackson gets tickled and Annabeth is crying. Makes me howl everytime I see them. Annabeth's outfit is gorgeous! Love you all,

I am the Awana Commander at our church on Wednesday nights for our 2 yrs – 5th grade kids. We have a small group with very limited space so we do not usually get to have a typical Awana Game Time. But last night was Olympics Night. We have a ramp going down a hallway that ends in the foyer of the church, where everyone loves to gather before & after services. I got a furniture dolly and had the kids ride down the ramp for our bobsled competition, ending up in the middle of all the adults. The kids loved it! And so did one of our elders who insisted on a turn! It's sooooo good for the soul to have fun at church! Then each kid was declared a winner and earned a medal at the end of the night if they had memorized at least 1 Bible verse.

We go to church…work with 32-35 teens…abaout 30 of these kids are unchurched. We open the church doors for them right after school to give them a place to "hang' until youth group begins at 6:45. The ladies of the church prepare a supper for them.

As of the first of the year our church is reading the One Year Bible together. Each day is laid out so you read old Testiment beginning with Genesis, New Testiment beginning with Matthew. A Psalm and part of a Proverb. On Wednesday nights our pastor leads us in a discussion of the weeks readings. Then we break-out in small groups and read some additional scriptures related to the subjects. Food is available before and after in the Connections Cafe.. It's a great time of fellowship and learning.

After a great fellowship dinner, I have the most incredible honor of hanging out with the coolest TNT (3rd-6th grade) girls in Bonaire, Georgia!! Love, love, love my girls! They amaze me with their ability to memorize the Word and explain it to me in ways I never thought about. They teach me a lot – and we have great conversations about Hannah Montana and Selena Gomez and who just got their ears peirced and who's Mom is making them do crazy things like homework, practice the piano and be nice to people! πŸ™‚

Well I used to do choir on Wednesday nights, but after spending 10 hours of my day away from my baby girl and hubby while at work, I just can't bring myself to spend another minute without them, so for now, we aren't doing anything on Wednesdays except hanging out together as a family.
I miss choir, but Ginny will only be 18 months once, ya know?

And I'm jealous by the way, Ginny still doesn't have enough hair for me to make any kind of pony tail at all.

We also have a Bible Study night for the Church on Wednesday nights. It is also when our Pioneer clubs meet. It is awesome to be in God's House in the middle of the week. We need that "lifting up" to get through the rest of the week.

Your children are gorgeous! What beautiful eyes they have. The eyes are the windows of the soul, what joy I see in theirs!!!! God Bless you and your family.

We were studying about the temple and the time when Jesus cleared out the Gentiles section after they were selling animals for sacrifice. I didn't realize the temple held nearly 250,000-500,000 people! That's a lot of ppl Jesus cleared out!
