Yesterday, my wonderful husband gave me the gift of seeing Beth Moore in Toledo, Ohio. It was an awesome experience and I even got a seat in the second row! (I now know that the Lord provided that seat for me, and I realized the “why” this morning.)
First, I answered my 100th letter to a prisoner this morning as a Crossroad Mentor and got to share Beth’s message with her. (And now you!). Beth’s message was based on Colossians 1:10-12; we need to please God in every way through: 1. Bearing Fruit 2. Growing in Knowledge
3. Being Strengthened 4. Giving Thanks.
Second, there was an opportunity to give to hurricane victims or sponsor a child. If you were interested in sponsoring a child (Compassion International), you were to raise your hand in order to be given a packet. I wasn’t sure….but felt compelled to raise my hand. I received a packet and put it in bag and said to God quietly, I will look at this tomorrow morning during my prayer time. So, this morning, I started looking at the child I was given from the Dominican Republic and realized the child’s birthday was the same as my moms. (Getting chills just writing this again… I wouldn’t have gotten that packet if I hadnt been in the second row and hadn’t been the first one to receive a packet off of the top of that volunteer’s pile!)
So, WOW…. God put me there yesterday…in that seat and gave me the opportunity to live out Beth’s message this morning by Bearing Fruit, Growing in Knowledge, Being Strengthened, and Giving Thanks in order to find the “ing” in King!
Thank you for sharing! So glad you were able to join us, Katrina!
