Grace

Grace is an inflated raft that can submerge to the floor of a sea to save you.

Grace is the silver thread that stitches up the shreds of mangled souls.

Grace is the eye that finds us where it refuses, there, to leave us.

Grace calls the waitress to the table and sits her down to wash her feet.

Grace sees underneath the manhole on a street of self-destruction.

Grace is the air to draw a breath in the belly of a whale.

Grace is the courage to stand in the shamed wake of a frightful falling.

Grace is the only fire hot enough to burn down a living hell.

Grace waits with healing in His wings when we’re too mad to pray.

Grace is the gravity that pulls us from depravity.

Grace races us to the Throne when we make haste to repent and always outruns us.

Grace treats us like we already are what we fear we’ll never become.

Grace is the doorpost dripping red when the angel of death grips the knob.

Grace is the stamp that says Ransomed on a life that screams Ruined.

Grace sets a table before me in the presence of my enemy even when my enemy is me.

Grace is the cloak that covers the naked and the palm that drops the rock.

Grace is divine power burgeoning in the absence of all strength.

Grace proves God true and every self-made man a liar for the sake of his own soul.

Grace is the power to do what we cannot do for the Name of Christ to go where it has not been.

Grace is a room of a thousand mirrors, all reflecting the face of Christ.

Grace is…

The eye popping

Knee dropping

Earth quaking

Pride breaking

Dark stabbing

Heart grabbing

Friend mending

Mind bending

Lame walking

Mute talking

Slave freeing

Devil fleeing

Death tolling

Stone rolling

Veil tearing

Glory flaring

Chin lifting

Sin sifting

Dirt bleaching

World reaching

Past covering

Spirit hovering

Child defending

Happy ending

Heaven glancing

Feet dancing…

Power of the Cross.

Jesus Christ, Grace Incarnate.

As one who was tweeting and facebooking, and emailing, and blog post commenting every where I could to request this… thank you!

I live in PA and attended the Live event in West Virginia on Saturday; so powerful. God was in that arena… and all over the world. He breathed his grace on me right there in my seat.

Thank you for what you do.

    Be blessed,

    BethAnn

Thanks for placing this on the blog. I wanted a copy to share with some friends. The simulcast was awesome. I viewed it solo but as soon as I signed on that morning before it even started the Presence of God filled my office in such a powerful way I knew God was going to meet me in a powerful way and He did. Thanks to Lifeway for being able to view it for 30 days so I can listen again and fill in some more of my notes.

Thank you so much for your ministry this is not the first time that God has worked through your ministry in my life. Love you sweet sister in Christ.

    Yes! Thank you!

    My favorites today are
Grace races us to the Throne when we make haste to repent and always outruns us.

Grace treats us like we already are what we fear we’ll never become.

Grace sets a table before me in the presence of my enemy even when my enemy is me.

Grace is divine power burgeoning in the absence of all strength.

    Kathy says:

Thank you from myself and about half dozen of my friends. Wish you could hear how this list and Saturday has affected our lives- guess you will have to wait till Heaven. I had prayed that each person attending would receive
through Beth the Word they needed from the Lord. Everyone I have spoken to affirmed that was the case and that this was the best similcast ever!! Amen and Thank You again.

  28. 228

Grace (karis) also means breath of God and comes from the word for Christ. So grace is not just forgiveness but it is the life of Christ in us! How could it get any better than that??

    LisaS says:

This brought tears to my eyes & a smile in my heart as you read it. Simulcast was wonderful.

    Sandra Schuster says:

I have continued to process the lessons I learned on Saturday at the Simulcast about living under grace and not the law. (I loved the day, by the way.) I came across a couple of statements in David Guzik’s commentary on 1 Thes. 5:18 that helped make it even more clear to me. These are my modified version of the statements: The law says, “This is God’s will, you must do it!” Grace says, “This is God’s will so you can do it!” Praise God for the privilege of being able to obey his will!!

Hi Michelle, they do not always release LPL’s to the public, and if they do, it is a process. However, LifeWay is offering it for a month where you can still go online and view it. I hope that helps! And if it is ever released, we’ll certainly let y’all know. Blessings!

Beth, I can honestly say, your teaching on grace this weekend was one of the most serious, most important Words the Lord has spoken over my life. I am SO grateful because it was life changing for me. Is there any way a DVD could be purchased of this teaching?

    Diane Rogers says:

Hi Sisters in Christ – Any of you reading this, please pray for me. I’m 50 years old and am getting ready to embark on a dream of being a teacher. I’ve been in real estate for over 25 years but I know my calling is to teach. I’m meeting with a second a representative at Azusa Pacific today. I met with someone at Pt. Loma Nazarine University about two months ago. I will have to pursue my further education while working full time. My dream is to go to a Christian University. Any prayers are greatly appreciated. Father God, I pray the Holy Spirit guides my steps. Thank you for blessing me so greatly in my life. Amen

    Glenda says:

This is absolutely beautiful! It spoke to my heart and brought tears of joy to my eyes. I read this at a very dark time in my life and it so lifted my spirits. You are always such an encourager, with your books, Bible studies and poetry. You are truly annointed. In 2 weeks’ time, I have been diagnosed with cancer and my son and his wife have filed for divorce, with all the nastiness that can include. I have not gotten to see my precious granddaughter for a month now. I can handle the cancer, but my heart breaks from not seeing my sweet Maddie. Thank you, Beth, for lifting my spirits. Glenda

    Shelly says:

Thank you! Last year the simulcast message hit straight home for me. You mentioned that this was a follow up lesson for that and this one hit the mark for me as well. Now just to go live a grace-filled life. It is certainly easier to do with some people than others! Thank you for being faithful again to do what God called you to do!

    Nancy says:

Changed by this simulcast! Thank you, Beth and team. When I first heard the word “Grace” last week, I thought this was going to be on how we need to extend grace to others, which we do. How powerful it was to hear how God first extends His grace to us. Life changing and a message that needs to be heard. So hoping Lifeway will offer this in DVD form! And soon!! 🙂
