Grace is an inflated raft that can submerge to the floor of a sea to save you.
Grace is the silver thread that stitches up the shreds of mangled souls.
Grace is the eye that finds us where it refuses, there, to leave us.
Grace calls the waitress to the table and sits her down to wash her feet.
Grace sees underneath the manhole on a street of self-destruction.
Grace is the air to draw a breath in the belly of a whale.
Grace is the courage to stand in the shamed wake of a frightful falling.
Grace is the only fire hot enough to burn down a living hell.
Grace waits with healing in His wings when we’re too mad to pray.
Grace is the gravity that pulls us from depravity.
Grace races us to the Throne when we make haste to repent and always outruns us.
Grace treats us like we already are what we fear we’ll never become.
Grace is the doorpost dripping red when the angel of death grips the knob.
Grace is the stamp that says Ransomed on a life that screams Ruined.
Grace sets a table before me in the presence of my enemy even when my enemy is me.
Grace is the cloak that covers the naked and the palm that drops the rock.
Grace is divine power burgeoning in the absence of all strength.
Grace proves God true and every self-made man a liar for the sake of his own soul.
Grace is the power to do what we cannot do for the Name of Christ to go where it has not been.
Grace is a room of a thousand mirrors, all reflecting the face of Christ.
Grace is…
The eye popping
Knee dropping
Earth quaking
Pride breaking
Dark stabbing
Heart grabbing
Friend mending
Mind bending
Lame walking
Mute talking
Slave freeing
Devil fleeing
Death tolling
Stone rolling
Veil tearing
Glory flaring
Chin lifting
Sin sifting
Dirt bleaching
World reaching
Past covering
Spirit hovering
Child defending
Happy ending
Heaven glancing
Feet dancing…
Power of the Cross.
Jesus Christ, Grace Incarnate.

I love this! Saturday was such a blessing, thanks Beth!!
I am inspired and was so encouraged. Oh how I wish there were more teachers like you.
Thank you for posting this!! What an amazing day!
Beth! I want to tell you how much I enjoyed the Simulcast. It stripped lies and garbage off of me that I have carried for years. It was life changing. I hope you do a teaching series on this topic. The church needs to hear more of this. May God bless, protect, and continue to empower you and your ministry. Much love from Canada!
As I head to my fathers first oncology appointment, this is so what I needed. Thank you
Sheree – your comment jumped off the screen at me – I’ve been through this with my Dad during the last year. Not easy – but GRACE has been abundant above what we could have ever imagined! It has been God’s AMAZING GRACE that has upheld us and strengthened us and carried us. I pray the same and more for you and your Dad.
I was doing fine, enjoying a good read…and then I read this line:
“Grace treats us like we already are what we fear we’ll never become.”
And started crying.
Love this, and I kind of love that it’s copyrighted already lol. Such a great expression of the grace in our lives of grit and grace at nobeautyqueen.com.
I had the exact same response when I heard it on the simulcast, and I have not cried in years. It really struck something deep.
Thanks for posting this, I had tears in my eyes with you reading this. Hits you straight in the heart.
Lora, that’s exactly how I felt! Thank you Beth, for sharing this! It will be a great reminder each time I read it!
Thank you Beth!!! I just read this to my husband and all I could get from him was WOW – Amen Sister. It was great during the simulcast. I am so excited that I have it in my hands now and I can share it everywhere. Love you dear sister!!!!
Amen!!
Thank you Beth for this reminder!
Thank you so much for posting this! I loved it when you read it at the Simulcast, and I’m going to print a copy to keep in my Bible. Such beautiful words. Thank you Beth!
Blessings,
Adrienne
I think if you posted just one of these each day, it would be so thought provoking as to fill each entire day for a month. Inspiring!
I am very, very glad you were able to post this for us!:) “Grace is the gravity that pulls us from depravity.”…Truth, Sister.
I was hoping to see/hear this again! I am so excited! Thank you so much for posting this. It truly blessed me.
Thank you for posting. Saturday was amazing, and a gift that spoke to me. Isn’t it amazing that when God begins a season of change, that He would send so many reminders of His Grace to see me through it. Thank you again.
Beautiful!
I was unable to attend, had to send a friend off as she had met with Jesus…
What a soothing word to my soul! Thank you Beth, grateful that you are inspired by the Holy Spirit to say what many of us feel.
God Bless you girl! Such a privilege to be connected to such an amazing woman of God. Humbled to ‘know’ you through technology… and the Spirit! Thank you!
I was so blessed by this poem, I have sent it to everyone on my contact list… wanting the Holy Spirit to bless every woman I know… I know He can!
Thank you again Beth.
Such confirmation as to how God has been leading me to pray, I praise Him. Thank you Beth for obeying His calling! That ‘pop quiz’ was so revealing… would you post those questions please??
Thank you for sharing this! Saturday was fantastic. So much to ponder and pray about! You and your ministry bless me!
I had been praying that you would post this…Saturday was amazing, this poem was one of the highlights. Thankful to the Lord for giving it to you. Since I waited tables many years, esp. through college, the “grace is like a waitress…” really ministered to me 🙂 Had to choke back some tears…
I appreciate you more than you will ever know, this fall is my 10 year anniv in Beth Moore Bible Studies, & my 10 year anniv in falling in love with Jesus more & more… As a mom of 5, Fri am Bible Study has been a lifeline. My baby is in preschool now, so this is a new season with the Lord! Thank you for all you do!!
Blessings to you, dear sister!
What a glorious day! More understanding and awareness of His Mercy, His Love and His Grace. Standing In His Grace!
“Thank you” are words that are inadequate for the blessings received from hearing the message and now reading these words.
Bless you and may God’s face shine upon you.
Loved it Saturday and I love it now!! Such freedom we find under grace!!!
LOVE this and LOVE you. Thanks so much for posting. A copy of this will go into my Bible tucked safely away for me to reference when I need a shot in the arm.
Beth – The simulcast was wonderful. Thank you so much for posting your prose. I was hoping somehow hear it again. It so beautifully describes grace in a way that we “get” it. Thank you for staying the course with your ministry and for allowing God to use you. I know only Heaven will tell how much you are used of God to influence thousands of us. I count you as one of the extraordinary women of the Bible. Perhaps you’ll be included in the post-New Testament if He decides to write one! lol! For all the difficult trials you go through for being obedient to Him for us, I thank you.
I need this one today. Thank you for these words…
Grace is divine power burgeoning in the absence of all strength.
Luv this! Can’t wait to share with the ladies at church!!!
Thank you so much for posting this on Grace! Saturday was such a blessing and the Lord knew exactly what I needed.
Thank you for your sweet spirit, dedication, faithfulness, and obedience to the Lord!
Love you Beth!
And the congregation said, Thank you, God! and AMEN.
I attended the simulcast this year from Wake Forest, NC and was so challenged and refreshed by such a rich time in the Word. Please thank Beth for her tireless efforts to seek the face of Christ through the power of His Word, and wash us in the water of the Word so beautifully.
I was wondering if there was any way that you could please post or send me the questions to that SLAYING 13 questions quiz…couldn’t write fast enough but really want to pray over all of these areas, search the Scriptures over them, and re quiz myself after some time for the Spirit to keep working. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for posting this!!
When you read this at the simulcast a few days ago my jaw dropped. So powerful! Thanks for posting it here!
Beth,
I was so hoping you would share that! Thank you!!! I want to read it to my bible study ladies. Kristi
Here I am choked up again! This reading…stunning. Loved your message on Saturday. It was just. what. I. needed. to. hear. Through and through. Thank you.
Amen!!!!!! Thank you SO much for posting this, I had hoped you would!!!!
Thank you so much for posting this!!! Loved, loved, loved Saturday!!!
the simulcast this past Saturday was wonderful. I attended at a church in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Hearing the Shofar totally did me in. I’ve been studying the Old Testament (falling in love with my spiritual heritage) and recently attended a messianic synagog service for the first time for Rosh Hashanah. I was waiting for the Shofar but they didn’t blow it. When I heard it at the end of your event.. I felt it was a gift of God for me- so hauntingly beautiful. His supreme care and love for me. It was all I could do to keep it together after the emotional day. Thank you Beth and your team for all you do.
Thank you BETH and your whole TEAM for sharing so passionately your knowledge, time and talents ! How blessed and changed I am from your simulcast! Also, thanks for the sacrifices you all make to make it all happen for us! God’s grace and mercy was truly shared and delivered!!! No Longer…AMEN!
Bless you for posting your wonderful words.
I would love to have the test Beth gave us at the simulcast on law and grace.
It was so eye opening.
Love your ministry and love Beth.
I’m leading a class at my home on Living Beyond Ourselves,
The Fruit of the Spirit.
Blessings,
Jan
Beth, Thank you so much for posting this! My friends and I had the privilege of attending live Saturday, and were hoping that you would post this! You will never know the blessing that you are to so many and the lives that you have touched for our Heavenly Father through your ministry.
Wow! I missed your simulcast but your poetry is an indication of what transpired Saturday—–
A whole lot of praising was going on! Beautiful piece of writing— you nudged my heart— no, wrong description. Cannot find the right words to describe.
Thank you!
Thank you so much. I have been going to secular psychologists for years and years with what you call spiritual neurosis. I couldn’t afford Christian psychologists. What you described seemed like the answer for the questions of my life, but I admit that I got away from the conference and seemed to have missed how to apply this obvious solution. I think that the answer is somewhere in the basics that I already know. God seems to be saying to take prayer and bible study and meditation and scripture memory up a notch. I had been giving up on these things. Nothing seemed like it was working. So, okay, God clearly seems to understand the problem. It’s just me and Him. No teacher, no husband, no king to become an idol between us.
Thank you for posting this! I pray that God continues to bless you and the team as you serve.
Life changing! So glad I attended the conference. Bless you, sweet Beth, and LPM! And thank you for posting this so we would have these words in print to feast on.
Joyfully,
Jackie
Wow! I needed this today! A good and fresh word this has spoken to me not just about receiving grace but extending it to those who need it. Lord, I lift my hands to you, my mouth is open wide. Bring your truth in that fresh rain I feel upon my soul through this very poweful word. I want to drink it all in!!!!
Whoa! What a picture of myself on any give day. God’s grace really does surround me! When we think about it, that’s what the blood is for!!!!!!
Amen!
I’m amazed at the powerful revelations of Grace God is downloading in several prominent teachers, as we are starving for it! I thought I knew Grace, but it was a mixture of old and new covenants that had me bound by condemnation and fear for 30 years. I’m just now dis overing Grace as the incarnate Christ, and His one way perfect love to deliver. I sobbed when I read this today and am sad I missed the simulcast. I’d LOVE the notes from this session if they will be shared anytime soon.
Great Grace multiplied!
The simulcast was such a blessing. I’m on the second time watching it again today! My favorite….Grace is the stamp that says “Ransomed” on the life that screams “Ruined”. Hit home for me. I am so overwhelmed with the truth that God is not disappointed with me, but instead calls me an oak of righteousness; a display of His splendor! Thank you, Beth, for answering His call on your life!
Thank you, thank you for sharing truth through your giftedness!
