Ladies! Our SSMT Celebration is right around the corner, and believe me, we know it is on your mind because it is on our minds, too! Like, all the time. Grin.
SO, before we get any further I do want to clarify that this is NOT the post for registration. We are working on that and will have it up very soon (read: hopefully this week!), but we are ironing out a few quirks and we’ll have it up and ready to roll!
However, we didn’t want to leave you hanging and we also want to hear from you!
First and foremost, the date for our SSMT Celebration is official Saturday, January 18th. Yes! We’re mixing things up and going with a one day event, instead of the Friday – Saturday plan. So, as you’re planning, plan to be here for sure from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM that lovely Saturday.
With that said, here are a few questions for you:
1) Are you planning to attend?
2) Have you attended in past or first time?
3) For those that have previously attended, what is your favorite memory to share, especially for those that have yet to attend?
As you’re thinking ahead, just a reminder that Β the actual celebration event is free of charge as your βticketβ is your worn out spiral, but when discussing finances, be sure to consider two things, traveling and lodging. (More travel and hotel information is found in the FAQ page when you register.) We are so excited to have Travis leading worship with us again this year, as well.
Alrighty, y’all. Let’s hear from you! And be checking the blog regularly for registration updates and more details! We love y’all dearly.
1. Hope to!
2.Never have been.
3. Would love to make a memory to share next time.
1. No it’s a loong ways to travel from Alberta.
2. Never attended but oh would I love to.
1. Am hoping to come
2. Never have come before as this is my first time doing this π
Sooo no memories for me lol
1) Yes! I’ve been memorizing with a group of local siestas, but I’m not sure if anyone in the group is going to make it… I hope so π
2) Last year was my first time!
3) I came alone but met many sisters, and we still keep in touch! The event was one I will never forget as God orchestrated every detail that allowed me to be there! The Word God gave Mrs. Beth spoke right to me (and others I’m sure!) about taking back our ground the enemy so badly wants… I still have my ‘ground’ where I see it daily π The message from The Lord was powerful! The worship was intense (in a grand way)! Travis taught us his song Oh My Soul! Still a favorite today :). I can go back to that lesson, that event and oh my soul, it fills me up and helps me keep on going, every.single.time. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing experience!
1. Yes!!
2. Last year was my first time.
3. I LOVED the Scripture wall where we all wrote one of our favorites that we memorized. Loved seeing all of that living proof!!
Doesn’t look like I’ll be able to go π I have never been – this is my first year and am enjoying it so much! My husband and I will be going to Guam in February to see our daughter so the finances aren’t quite there for two trips. I pray it will be spectacular for everyone who is able to go!
1) yes ma’am!
2) 3rd time
3) two fav memories… first is when we spread out to do our verses. you’d think that would be the scariest but it is the BEST. so much grace π + God’s Words being spoken all over that place + the HISTORY with Him from the past year living in those verses = priceless! my 2nd fav memory was “randomly” meeting new friends from Little Rock & seeing God use those friendships over the past few years – such a blessing!!!
can hardly wait! thank you for blessing us with this!
I’m planning to attend! This will be my first time and I’m hoping to meet up with some friends from other parts of the country who are participating as well. Counting the days!
1. I can’t go. I’m too far away.
2. Haven’t been before.
3. n/a
Side Note: I’m in Idaho, and due to the distance, I am planning to host a little Idaho chapter celebration for the girls up here. π
1, Yes, God willing!
2. First time (and I am in need of this)
3. I too am looking forward to hearing everyone’s best memories
Thank you and The Lord bless you,
Leah
Midland, TX
1. YES!!!!
2.No.
I so wish that I could attend, but probably not. Financial reasons.
This was my first year, and what a year! I accepted Christ as my Savior in 2012 at the Charleston SC event. Going through the Bible to find these verses has been so beneficial to me, for so many reasons. Thank you all for what you do and for helping me become ever closer to God.
Elvira, Grande Prairie, Alberta.
I will not be able to be there!:(
The distance is just too great for me. This is my second year of memorization. I just love it, it really does get easier! It has been so powerful in my life! I Will be watching the live streaming though if we can!
1. Yes I plan to attend.
2. I attended the very first one.
3. My favorite part is that Beth allowed us to ask her any questions that we wanted to. It felt very personal to those of us who can not get enough ‘Beth’.
Yes, YES,YES!!!! I will be attending for the first time ever. I have wanted to attend the last two times but haven’t been able to. And, God willing, I’ll be with my nephew’s mother-in-law who has been such a special gift to me..so looking forward to it!!!
I had no idea this was going on! I only recently found the blog and SSMT. I went back and found the FAQ page posted earlier this year to figure out what the event is and it sounds awesome! Now that I know, I will definitely try to participate in SSMT so I can attend the 2014 event!I hate that I missed out this year!
I have attended all of the SSMT’s so far with my actual sister. She is from one coast and I am from the other!
We both plan to attend this year as long as my cancer stays in remission enough for me to make the trip.
I know one of our favorite memories is meeting with all the girls for dinner at Papasitos and catching up on all their news and getting so many hugs. It was wonderful!
1. Still praying God will open the door for me to be able to come this time!!
2. Went to the last one and had a BLAST with the Lord!
3. Two favorite memories: (1) Worship with Travis that Friday night. The Lord just moved all over that place. (2) Reciting my Scriptures with my partner. We cried together at the end and it was so precious to me.
It will be my first time to attend. Excited to have the time with my girlfriends Carrie from North Carolina & Terri from Virginia as we have been sharing this experience long distance all year
1) It depends on where and cost.
2) I have never attended before.
3) Can’t respond to this one since I have never been.
1. I am planning on it!
2. This is my first time
3. No memories from SSMT, but many many memories from Beth’s sunday school class and Tuesday night bible studies before I moved out of state.
Cheryl H., Huntington, WV Will not be attending but praying God’s blessing on the event. I know it will be great!
I’m planning on going and taking my daughter with me (as a surprise!) since she is the one who gave me my spiral notebook and even introduced me to Beth Moore Bible studies!! This will be my first time although I’ve been to many Living Proof Live events. Love Beth & Travis!!
yes I’ve attended it’s so encouraging
the message the Holy Spirit gives Beth and the
best music thx oh yeah i like the book table
calendar sales and the pictures and the whole
Enchilada. this will be my 3 rd time to attend
Yes, I would like to attend. This would be my first time.
1. I am planning on attending…love the one day format idea
2. This will be my second event.
3. Loved the message of “walking” out our faith and having the board to record a verse.
Looking forward to January!
Valerie, Louisville KY
1. I don’t know – where is it held?
2. Would be my 1st time
3. Would love to have some! π
1. Planning on it
2. Once before
3. The entire trip was wonderful. I needed it because my mom had just died in October before the event in January. We laughed a lot as girlfriends always do which was great healing. AND it was so incredible the way the timing of the verses each month were also just what I needed. In August or so, I had decided to end the year of memory work by breaking up Psalm 139. Unknown to me, Mom had put in the box that held the requests for her service that very psalm be read! Ah! God! He is!

I am planning on attending. I was there 2 years ago. The sweetest memory from that event was watching a young child recite her memory verses to her mom, because she had done them right along side her mom all year. That was so cool . Last time was so easy to learn my verses and they meant so much. This year it has been a struggle . I am just so glad God loves me when it is easy and loves me when it is hard. He is so good to me.
I’m planning to attend! This will be my first time! Looking forward to it!
Yes I WILL
First time to attend
1) I am planning on attending!!!!!
2) This will be my first time (and I’m totally stoked)
3) I can’t wait to make some awesome memories! I’m going with my best friend, Amy, who has told me many great stories of her previous SSMT trips, so there are sure to be many fond things remembered from this trip.
I was planning to stay at Beth’s house! HA!
I wish I could attend, but I am unable to. π
1. Want to – Can’t ($$) unless it is held in Maine π
2. Never attended – this is my first year memorizing.
(I feel foolish but don’t even know where it is held?)
1. YES!!!! Praise the Lord!!!! (and the one day event actually makes it even better for our family!!!)
2. First time π
3. I have never been, but since I’m trying to be brave and coming alone, I’m really hoping to meet some of my siestas!!!!
1-I hope to attend.
2-I have attended both previous SSMT celebrations.
3-I went by myself the first year and was so nervous about saying my verses with a stranger, but it was a wonderful experience. Here’s my funny memory, during the meet and greet I was the first one out the door, but didn’t realize Beth, Amanda, and Melissa would be waiting out there…so I pretended I wanted coffee so it didn’t look like I followed them out. Haha! Pretty sure I’m the only one who didn’t get to meet them.
I am planning to attend if the finances work out. I have never attended before in person (last time I attended through the simul-cast) so I’m looking forward to coming in person.
My friend, Jane and I both plan to attend. This will be our first time! The memorization has been a challenge, but also a huge blessing. We are both very excited about this opportunity!
I am planning to be there! This will be my first time.
1) Are you planning to attend? YES!!!!
2) Have you attended in past or first time? I attended two years ago for the first time and can’t wait to get there again!
3) For those that have previously attended, what is your favorite memory to share, especially for those that have yet to attend? God very graciously gifted me with a new friend – Phyllis Winn!!! She is a woman filled with the Spirit and I thank God I was privileged to meet her!
1 – YES and AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 – Yes!!
3 – The worship. The message. The LOVE … oh my word, some of my favorite people in all of life!!!
Also, there was this little dance party involving a minivan a parking garage and a little Harry Belafonte. O.K. … I believe you!
(I may or may not have just laughed out loud, all by self … yep)
I am planning on attending. This will be my second time. Through the 2012 siesta gathering I made some very close friendships with people from my area that I would never have crossed paths with. The message was directly from God for my life and I cannot wait to see what God has planned for this gathering!
Yes. I am for sure planning on attending.
I attended the event in 2012.
My favorite memory is just the atmosphere of the event. When I walked into the room I felt the Holy Spirit. I came alone and met someone at the airport. I have never felt so welcomed and loved and have made life long friends. It had the feeling of a bunch of wonderful women with the best teacher in the world (love you Beth) studying God’s Word in a relaxed but serious atmosphere.
It was also like the message was just for me. I was going through one of the worst times of my life and felt the amazing love and support of women I just met and will love forever. It was something I will never forget and has changed my life.
BTW Travis and the Praise Team were awesome as usual.
God met us there and it was AMAZING. Can’t wait ’til January.
1. YES
2. 2nd time
3. At the end of last years celebration, Beth had us pray with each other, they were streaming live because a lot of women couldn’t make it due to weather and flight delays. Beth was praying for us and said something to the effect of “if I never see you again…” It was a very powerful moment to me, because I felt the sincerety of her prayers and love for us.
Also…meeting so many other like minded siestas.
Looking forward to Jan, if the Lord doesn’t call us home before then.
1. Not sure yet. (Finances and time off of work are a problem that need to be overcome.)
2. I was privileged to attend the first SSMT event. Psalm 119!
3. The memory of experiencing the sight of 500+ women in pairs as far as the eye could see, both indoors and out, and the sound of God’s Word being lifted high from each and every one. Powerful!!
Margie, Sherry and I will forever be grateful for you and your husband for inviting us (and Karina) to go have dinner with you. We were without a car and had just met you in our hotel lobby. What a great time of fellowship we shared. I do hope & pray it works out for you to come this time!
It would be so lovely to see you and Beth and all of my Siestas. I am going to try!
1.). I will NOT be able to make it! My awesome husband is turning 50 and I will be doing something special for him!
2.) I DID attend via live stream last time!!
3.). It was AWESOME!! I even met a few Siestas that way!! Will you be doing the live stream again? My husband worked so hard to get the live stream going for me last time. He even tried to get you on the big screen TV for me so it would feel like I was there!!! So he deserves a nice 50th Bday party! I KNOW I will get there someday!! I am just happy I saw Beth this year in Phoenix!!
π
I’m thinking about coming. I’ve done the memorization each time (but this is the first year I have posted my verses).
Will we be able to watch the SSMT Celebration on our computers, as we were able to do in January of 2011? I would love to participate, but live in California. My favorite thing about the 2011 SSMT was the teaching, getting into the word, and the wonderful worship.
Thank you!
God Bless You!

Thank you!
