As Promised – The Great Forsake and Take

My beloved Sisters,

Thanks is too small a word for the privilege to serve you. You are graces of a merciful God to me. How I pray God revealed Himself to you in an intensely personal way today. Here is the equipping that I promised in the simulcast to those who are ferociously ready to forsake fear and take courage. You will find a cover sheet for your notebook, a letter from me suggesting how to use the resource, and enough verses to keep you well immersed for a good while. They are life and liberty to any of you who, like me, have battled a stronghold of fear but they are also vastly useful when you are facing a temporarily intimidating or frightening situation, like surgery or a speech in front of your class or a hard conversation requiring you to speak the truth in love. It doesn’t matter what circumstances are tempting you to fear and to shrink back from your faith and your calling, you are invited and even commanded by God to take much courage. It is your right of daughtership, β€œfor you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons [and daughters!], by whom we cry, β€˜Abba! Father!’” (Romans 8:15)

By all means, you are welcome to openly share this link with anyone else who could use this kind of equipping, whether or not they joined us for the simulcast.

Thank you so much for your impassioned speaking today – I know you fired up a lot of women around the world, and I was honored to be a part of the audience in Reading.

Keep up the great work, and know that you are touching many lives and making a difference, all for the glory of God.

    Thank you!

So blessed to have been able to participate in this event via simulcast. Can’t remember the last time I spent a day in His precious word. Alone in my room all day in my pjs and feeling blessed beyond words right now!

For too long I have settled for a little life, often feeling like I’m just going through the motions and wondering what’s the use, why am I here, knowing all the while that if God was finished with me I would no longer be here.

My faith has been attacked and I’ve been rendered ineffective…till today. Today I push back HARD and “shalom” to ANYONE who dares stand between me and my Redeemer again! I am tired of settling. I don’t even know how I started settling! I do know this–today it ends!

If I can’t get off this ride, then I will learn to ride with courage, with prayer, with faith until the ride ends.

I will believe again that MY life has promise, that there is a purpose for me beyond existing and that the promises I know my God once whispered in my ear can still come true! It’s not too late! Today I can reclaim the faith I once had and so much more!

May you and your team be blessed as much as you bless all of us! That is my sincere prayer tonight.

WHAT A WORD! I haven’t ever seen you speak with such power as you did today. I mean that in the best possible way. I learned so much today and am so grateful to sit under Living Proof teaching! Thank you for this resource and is there anyway that would be willing to share the prayer that you spoke over us….that really spoke to me.

We love you Momma Beth and what a might ministry you have…btw your hair looked GREAT today. πŸ™‚

    Oh, Siesta Mama.

    I got me a WORD!

My “fear number” was a 7. This time last year, it was up around 15. At first, I was discouraged because it’s still up there. But then I thought about how far God has brought me, and that He is faithful to finish what He begins in each of us!

I’m printing out “The Great Forsake and Take” and I’m going to learn what it is to have courage. Such a foreign idea, having been plagued by fear for as long as I can remember. I’m ready!

Thank you for allowing God to use you to part of my team of encouragers. You are a true mentor and warrior for the faith. I will allow this season of challenges I face to “jar me” out of second hand stories and “smack” into my own story with Jesus. I expect an internal miracle in the midst of the painful external circumstances in my life and the life of my sweet soul sister, Jessyca, who has stage 4 brain cancer.

Thank you, Beth, for allowing our good and gracious God to speak through you today. Thank you for praying over me today as I took part in Kerrville, TX. As you said, the Lord speaks; many, many women spread the Good News. My heart’s desire is to be found faithful and free of fear, and I feel that your prayer over me will be answered. I pray that God will continue to use you in a mighty way.

Thank you Everyone at lpm. Today my 15 yr old was one of 5 teen girls at Lakeshore Church, Rockwall TX. Asked to play romantic piano music for background during the breaks today. My daughter was touched and prayed for. She has told me recently that she thinks God is calling her to missions. The things you were talking about was right were we are. Please pray for my mommy heart. I wish I could attach a photo of her. Love to you and yours

You brought it today! I am still chewing on all the nuggets of truth today as I read over my notes. The truth in Romans 8 hit me in a fresh way today–Do I have enough security in Him to trust Him with the mystery.

What a difference one day can make in one’s life. THANK YOU BETH and EVERYONE for this day. I so needed to hear all that was spoken. Very timely for what God has been trying to tell me these past few months. My small group LOVED every minute and we were all on our knees as you prayed for each sister. May you all be so rich in HIS blessings for continuing to teach us year after year. xo

I truly needed every moment of this day from the opening praise and worship songs to the very last note sung and everything in between. What an amazing day. Thank you for this resource, and thank you for teaching the Word of Truth in such a powerful way. If it is possible in any way–I would so cherish a copy of the prayer that Beth prayed over us (me!) at the end. That was so powerful, I would love to go back on days that I need it and reread and reclaim those things that Beth prayed for me. Once again–I’m so grateful to everyone involved in making today happend. Thank You.

Still wiping my eyes. Thanks, Beth, for an AMAZING word today. Thank you for praying for me. Thank you for encouraging me to grab the ankles of my Jesus and hold on for dear life… and to push those Gehazi’s completely out of my way! (…and I have a few Gehazi’s right now!) SHALOM !

I showed up without adequate words for the broken emptiness. I left without adequate words for the faithfulness of our God. To hear that Paul and Elisha didn’t have a “formula” either was so freeing. I am now looking for just HIM… not a formula to figure Him out. OH- and thanks so much for praying over me, Beth. πŸ™‚

Thank you to the whole team! What a blessing from the simulcast–150,000 women, and yet the words were just for ME, the intercessory prayer was for MY HEART, and I joined with 150,000 other women in praising God and being restored. Having this tool to forsake fear and take courage and truly live in Him is freedom beyond measure.

I was at First Baptist Church in McComb, MS and received a FRESH WORD today. I love you Beth Moore! I love the work that God is doing and has done through you. I’m on my second bible study with you and I am so very blessed. Thank you for being the radically obedient woman of God that God has called you to be.
Also, to the First Baptist Church in McComb…you rock! What a blessing it was to be there today. Just truly blessed by my Jesus….felt His presence no doubt.

After a week and half battling the enemy trying to take advantage of the effects of past abuse…I found encouragement in the words of scripture and the words God put in your mouth for us today. I asked Him to remove all barriers to His healing that still lurk in my innermost being. I don’t have much to lose any more. I do work part-time but I looked around at my sisters from my church and I know that no matter what I will be accepted and cared for, counseled and prayed for. Their prayers are amazing…I am humbled by their faith.

    Amy Storms says:

Oh, goodness. How I needed today. You’ve been reading my journal again but I’ll forgive you. That prayer was for me and I RECEIVED it, in tears, in my bedroom floor. I’m so ready to forsake fear and take courage.

Funny story about today…First of all, fear has always been my “thing,” but the last two years it has crippled me and weighed on me like never before. Last January, I loved watching the siesta celebration on taking back the ground that was mine–because I really felt like the enemy had stolen a lot of victory that I’d experienced before. In January, I even got a jar of dirt from my own yard…but still, the fear has been a struggle all year long. I’ve even been seeing a Christian counselor the past few months to get help with it. Anyway, today I laughed when you said you took the jar thing from Curtis’s sermon very literally, because I’d made a literal jar of promised land back in January. πŸ™‚ Later when Travis sang “March On,” I thought again about my promised land jar, and I went and pulled it off my shelf. I noticed, though, that there was condensation all inside the jar…apparently my promised land wasn’t dry enough! πŸ™‚ So I opened the jar to let it dry out…and OH, the AWFUL smell! I think my promised land is molding! THEN, you started teaching again, and talking about how you left the lid off the simulcast jar to get it “all.” I cracked up at myself but at the same time, I had a funny little lesson…my jar was no good when it was tightly sealed up, you know? No wonder I’ve not had victory over fear yet, when I’m not “opened up” in faith to let Him give His Spirit without measure.

Anyway, now I’m ready to be an open jar. Fill me up, Lord, till I’m “unrecognizable to myself and Christ is recognizable in me.” THANK YOU!
