Siestas! We are less than two weeks away from our Siesta Scripture Memory Team Celebration! In case you realized how much of a mouth full that is, that is why we lovingly refer to it as the SSMTC around here. Grin.
With Christmas, New Years and Passion 2012 behind us, we are looking very forward to the celebration, especially because of how quick it will land on us. Sometime during the next week be looking for a fun FAQ post about the weather, food and all things regarding Houston, but until then, we want to hear from you.
We are anxious to know who completed the scripture memory challenge on this blog EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING TO COME TO THE CELEBRATION. That just means that you have your spiral filled with 20-24 scriptures, posted your verses on the blog, and have hidden the Word in your heart, we want to know who you are.
If this applies to you (and you completed the commitment), we’d love for you to comment and tell us three things:

3) Are you coming to the celebration? Yes or No. (Because we want to acknowledge and celebrate you either way!)
Remember, this is for anyone who completed the 2011 scripture memory challenge! When we say there is NO condemnation for those who didn’t finish please hear us loud and clear: there is no condemnation or guilt! We just love a good party here at LPM and want to celebrate with you.
So, even if you have no plans to come to the celebration, but have completed your memory work, let us hear from you!

I am not going to be able to come 🙁 I had such good intentions! Even have had a hotel room since June. (just cancelled yesterday) I picked a scripture and logged in every time… I just fell behind memorizing them… so I didn’t think it was fair for me to come!

Yes, I completed the 24 verses and posted each. I plan to attend with 8 other ladies from our group. Our Bible Study group is called God’s Girls, and our memory team that was formed from God’s Girls, is called SIESTA SISTA’S of Royse City, Texas. We are sooooo excited. We are a group of ladies that are on fire for the LORD. Our ages range from 68 to 26….our hot pink tee shirts have glitzy angel wings on the back with our own favorite verse. However, it has truly been a blessing to do this – I am amazed as I’ve gone back through my spiral and remembered what was going on in my life just by the Scriptures I was led to pick. Also was surprised that there were so many that spoke to me at my need or at my delight! He is so good!

I have my spiral and have enjoyed memorizing scripture.
I did not find the blog until late in the year and I did not realize I was supposed to be posting them. I’m just writing to say that this has changed my life. I now have 2 spirals full of scriptures that I carry in my purse. I am feasting on God’s word all through the day and I finally get what it means to have the word “abide in me”. I will continue to add to my little notebooks.
I am falling in love with God’s word!! Thank you for this blog and the inspiration and encouragement.
Sadly, I can not make it. It was a dream for another year I hope.
These scriptures blessed my year and life. I feel as if I have a small journal that I can look upon and see how God was moving in my life.
Honestly, I have all 24 scriptures written & posted, but I have failed to memorize them all. I was telling God this week how disappointed I am that there are many that are fuzzy now. Yes, I know I’ve been going through chemo and it’s awful for your memory, but I want them. I am certain though they are in my heart.
