**Siesta Celebration is January 20-21, 2012**
Hey Sweet Things!
We’ve made it to September 1st! That is great news for those of us who live in 3-digit temperatures for most of August! It won’t be an eternity before cool breezes start blowing golden leaves off the trees. I love Autumn best of all seasons. Bring it on, Jesus! September 1st is also great news for those of us planning to attend our SSMT Grand Celebration in January! We’re getting closer and closer to our big weekend. I hope so much that many of you will be able to come. We at LPM are making big plans toward it. Travis will be there to lead us in worship and he and I talked last weekend in Salt Lake City about how we can hardly wait.
Since my last post went on…and on…and on…and on, I will keep this one short and sweet. I don’t think I’ve ever relished my memory work more than this year. God has caused the Scriptures in my bones to spring to life in my heart these last 8 months and I pray that the same is true for you. Here’s mine this time around:
Beth, Houston. “Dear friends, I urge you as foreigners and exiles to keep away from fleshly desires that do battle against the soul, and maintain good conduct among the non-Christians, so that though they now malign you as wrongdoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God when He appears.” 1 Peter 2:11-12 The NET Bible.
I’m crazy about you guys! Keep hiding those Scriptures in your heart. THEY MATTER.
And you matter. You are so deeply loved by the Lord Jesus. May He reveal Himself to you this day.
Betty, Houston:
“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;
wisdom and power are His.
He changes times and seasons;
He sets up kings and deposes them.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the discerning.
He reveals deep and hidden things;
He knows what lies in darkness,
and light dwells with Him.”
