Love it. Love y’all. Love LPM. Which I guess is VERY good thing. ๐Ÿ™‚

P.S. I love me some notebooks, too.

    P.S.S. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

    Kate Long says:

I too am a notebook fanatic. Mine aren’t nearly as organized but I do keep everything in a notebook. I guess you could call it organized chaos.
Your word on being easily annoyed with people was certainly timely for me today. I have been easily annoyed all morning with those who have crossed my path. Hope you have a great weekend in Ohio. Will be praying over all of you this weekend.
Loves to all of you. You guys are so near and dear to my heart.

P.S.S.S. HOW IN THE WORLD DID I NOT GIVE THE LORD SOME PRAISE FOR FINISHING JAMES?!?! YAY! Praying as Melissa finishes strong!

    Bonnie Wallace says:

Yippee! So excited about the James study! Will lift Melissa up in prayers right now that His Spirit will help her finish the task on hand. I’m not crazy about notebooks, but I am this way over journals … so I still relate to the pure excitement over the little things in life. ๐Ÿ™‚

PS – Now I’m curious why Charlotte’s notebook had a green cover sheet instead of a white cover sheet. Did anyone else notice that? ๐Ÿ™‚

    Rhonda says:

    Love the video chats!!
I am totally obsessed with notebooks too! When I am long gone, my family is going to be SOOOO thrilled to find the tubs of Bible study notebooks stored in the basement! : )
Thank you especially for the WORD shared today! He has been dealing with me with this area a lot lately…and for a Scripture to tell me I am a fool…that’s enough for me to get serious about getting it under HIS control!!

  6. 156
    Gena says:

    Really loving the hair today!

Very excited about James – one of my favorite books!

Thanks for the word. I need to practice that particular skill quite intentionally right now. Everyone and everything seems to be annoying me lately.

    Susan Flynn says:

Oh Beth!!! Praise God for the James study being done!!! I can’t wait to lead it at my church! I am so excited! Thank you so much for blessing me with your videos and blogs. It has really helped my faith walk to be a part of the Siesta community! This has been the hardest year of my life and walking in faith with you and the other Siestas has helped my spirit so very much. I am blessed by your teaching and now by our relationship here. You are an inspiration to me.
    Much love!

    Donna says:

Beth, I just love your videos… I always wish I could give you a hug at the end… so consider yourself hugged! Also, I will appreciate your James study when I do it because of all the hard work put into it. Thanks for sharing about that; it makes me want to dig into each lesson even more to see what God wants to say to me. The “LPM” sign is fantastic! What a wonderful idea. also, I’m praying that the Lord will send rain showers and blessings on Texas…..

    donna says:

    Mrs. Beth,

Well, I guess I know what my next memory verse will be. We loved having you here in Charlotte last month. My daughter is talking to her daddy about a “field trip” to North Charleston next year already.
We love you and will be praying for Melissa as she finishes.

  10. 160
    Jennifer Tricarico says:

    Momma Beth –
Clapped along with you and KMac re: James and paused the video right then to just pray Melissa through her work. This study is so JESUS and so anticipated by all Siestaville. Can’t wait to get my hands on it!

Hair, notebooks and doggie bandana all adorable… but what I really need to comment on is that SCRIPTURE!

I had a baaa-aaaa-aaad run to the grocery store with my 2 boys and little princess this morning. Like BAD. I showed my annoyance at once. I think several other shoppers wanted to as well. Facial expressions abounded. I gave them a talking to in the car on the way home but we are talking UGLY mommy moments enroute to our house. PTL by the time we were home a few minutes I had done some of my own repenting and was able to actually work with both little guys from a place of grace. It was HARD and I am not good at it. Then I hear your message and HIS WORD and this is now a verse we need around here desperately. My pride is nasty, nasty deep and I hate it. It’s so hard to be a good mom when you have deep pride. But He loves me anyway… how He loves me!

Thanks for loving us in His name and with HIS WORD. Loving you right back.

      Crystal says:

Thank you for your honesty. Being a full-time mom has been the hardest job I have ever had. It brings out all my sin…or at least I can see it now more than ever before. Jesus is at work in us!

      Jamey says:

Thank you for sharing this struggle – I share it as well. I NEEDED that verse today, even though it is painful to realize how very much it applies to me lately. (I’m deep in the throes of mommyhood too)I’m so thankful to have the encouragement of others dealing with the same things as we are refined by our Loving Creator!
      Blessings to you all!

  11. 161
    Ali Key says:

Congratulations on finishing your work for James!! How amazing that you have the energy to be preparing for your busy week-end in Ohio and yet make time to connect with your Siestas! Thank you for thinking of us…especially for sharing the word from Proverbs. Let’s just say, I NEEDED THAT! You are a breath of fresh air dear Beth. Thank you!

    susan says:

Beth, can’t believe how much you look like Kathie Lee Gifford with your hair like this. so glad you are done with James…looking forward to seeing it in the bookstores.

  13. 163
    Susan says:

    Beth & Melissa –
I just saw the preview pages for the James study on Lifeway’s website and had to let you know how excited I am about the “5 levels”!!!
Thank you for the challenge and encouragement in both learning and memorizing God’s Word, and taking us even deeper still in this study!
Melissa – thank you for uncovering little treasures in the original languages for us!
    Way to go, Ladies!

  14. 164
    laurie says:

oh, beth! you are such a delight – your smile makes me smile!
but today i got a spankin’… that verse was for me! i cant wait til my husband gets home so i can apologize for my behavior the last couple of weeks during a move! man, he has been annoying!! haha – i love him.. and i love you. praising God for the way He works minute by minutes in my life ~

  15. 165
    Rosie says:

    Hi Beth,
Congratulations on the study. I love James can’t wait to get into it. I will pray for Melissa to finish strong. Thanks for the verse it’s always a good reminder to watch what we say. I liked seeing Star, we have a Border Collie too, they are the coolest dogs. It was nice to hear from you. Have fun in Ohio I will pray God opens all their understanding so they will comprehend all He and you have for them.
    Love you, Rosie

  16. 166
    Nancy Jensen says:

Miss Beth, you just looked so lovely today. I though you were rocking a good hair day. Glad you didn’t go for the scrunchie, but it would certainly be entertaining to see you in a little Pebbles Flinstone ponytail! It is so fun to have a video message from you.

Congratulations on the completed manuscript. I am sure the siestahood will keep Melissa covered in prayer as she completes her portion. I am excited to dig into this study with my Bible study sisters.

Totally convicted me with the annoyed thing. It was a little painful and prickly to hear as I saw my own actions quite clearly in your words (OUCH). Guess that is an area I need to work on. Certainly don’t want to be walking around acting like a fool. Thank you for the reminder – I need to shine for Jesus instead. : )

  17. 167
    Michelle says:

Thank you thank you for the word today as I was “annoyed” with my daughter over the dishes:)
Can not wait for Columbus!! Hope you are going to have the Siesta picture there also.
    Praying for you!

  18. 168
    Shelly E says:

I so enjoyed “seeing” you today. I’m praising God along with you for your completion of the James study but I’ll keep your sweet Melissa in my prayers as she finishes her portion.

And thank you so much for sharing that scripture from Proverbs with us. Boy, I needed to hear that! I think I may just need to memorize that one for my next memory verse.

    Much love to you!

P.S. I love your dog! She looked very fashionable today.

  19. 169
    Tracy Hays says:

Love your hair this way! Like it with the bangs down, but this is my fave. Shows your “sweet face” to us more. I needed this “word” today! Some annoyances the past couple ways & praying to not be a fool over them! Love seeing your canine baby today. I have done many of your studies with my sweet pugs snoring beside me or trying to move my workbook to get in my lap! Love my dogs! I, too, love office supplies: notebooks, index cards, pens…. ๐Ÿ™‚

  20. 170
    Teri says:

I love your notebooks! It’s so funny that just today I was marveling at my own three ring binders–I don’t use them for Bible studies, or speaking engagements, but for school! ๐Ÿ™‚ I also made a brand spankin’ new one because I’m a rookie cheerleading coach this season. My favorite binder though is my Butcher Family Management Binder! It’s a 3 incher full of all the stuff I need to keep for my kids activities! ๐Ÿ™‚ I was supposed to be at the LPL in Columbus this weekend but then my son’s football schedule came out and there’s an event on the same day! Having to choose between two things that are equally appealing is HARD, but knowing that I only have three football seasons left with my boy made the decision that much easier! While I absolutely LOVE going to LPL events with my girlfriends, my heart is on the football field! ๐Ÿ™‚ thanks for your service to us though, you are truly a gift!

  21. 171
    Katie says:

You are a blessing! Thank you for your faithful ministry of the Word!

  22. 172
    Anna Mitchell says:

    WHEW!
There you are Mrs. Beth! I was just thinking about YOU as I was putting on MY mascara this morning. Thought we might have to send out an APB for you. ๐Ÿ™‚ Like the bangless look on you. After you’ve seen the gang in Columbus this weekend, will you come back here and tell the rest of us what “the word” was for the weekend….kinda left here hanging other wise. So excited for the sisters there in Columbus to get some wonderful time worshipping God, learning with Beth, and loving each other!

  23. 173
    Mindy, Granger, IN says:

I always have to share your video blogs with my daughters or my husband:) Thanks for taking the time to share yourself. I can’t imagine how crazy-busy your life must be, yet you take time for us, most whom you haven’t even met personally. How dear to think we will all know each other in heaven! Maybe with our perfect bodies (and hair) we’ll be able to sit around and compliment each other when we’re not singing and praising the Lord!

Am so excited for Columbus. My sister-in-law has agreed to come Friday night and she needs Jesus. Mom is giving up her chance to go and watching the grandkids for her (unless we can get another 2 tickets since my 15 yr. old wants to go now too!) Am praying for God to speak to all of us. Blessings!

  24. 174
    Shari says:

Beth, I SO appreciate you! I love that you have taken time out of your busy schedule to share with us and BOY does it encourage me!! Where we live right now, I am very much alone in my walk with the Lord. Our church needs MAJOR prayer as we see no one who truly wants to walk with the King of Kings!! I watch you, though, and am reminded that there still are true believers out there who DO seek His face and that I am not alone at all!!

    Thank you for your ministry!

    His,
    Shari

    Tami says:

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! I am made fun of constantly for my “notebook” obsession. The video blog made me smile. Bless you!!

    Kendra says:

Thanks for that word – I needed it. I’ve been a little too easily irritated with my 2 year old lately. I’ve got to keep my attitude in check and not act like a 2 year old myself when I get frustrated with her. And congrats on yet another baby being born (i get the idea it’s somewhat like that, only not, only a lot more… youknowwutimean…). To Him be the glory indeed ๐Ÿ™‚

We are nuts about you as well…and realllly enjoy the mini-videos..kind of feel like we had a little girl talk with you and what God has laid on your heart. Thanks so much for all you do. Blessings…

  29. 179
    Denise says:

I have read Proverbs through many times…why is it that I don’t remember this verse! I am one that does not hide my annoyance well – my facial expressions give it away every time. Looks like I have a verse to write down and take to heart!

Can’t wait until you have a Baltimore notebook! Just got the tickets yesterday and looking forward to a girl’s weekend with Beth and friends!

Praying for you and all at LPM!

    Crystal says:

You are such a delight to me! Just a quick word from Jesus and He has gotten DEEP into the core of my being. My pride can rear it’s ugly head even in the most noblest things. Thank you for sharing. My mom (64), sister (37) and I (35) all plan to meet in Columbus this weekend…CAN NOT wait! Covering you in in prayer!

  32. 182
    Marcia says:

Yahooooo! I am so excited about the James study!

I heard the word you gave yesterday, I knew for sure that it was for me. I have struggled with having a short temper for awhile and clearly the Lord was over it also! I repented and thanked God for showing me – etc. 2 hours later I experienced a test on this very issue. I failed – I was annoyed, irritated and let the person know. 2 minutes after that, I realized what I had done and repented again. Thanking God that he is patient and forgiving.

    Kim says:

Oh my Beth – the verse was so convicting! I’ve been annoyed with people all week and never once did I think it was my arrogance but their incompetencies….I shall now go and humble myself before God now (big sigh). I have so much to learn! Thanks for the accountability!!

    Erin B. says:

I have a request. PLEASE make the James study in a spiral bound form. I always have a hard time writing in any of my bible study books (I like to do them propped up in bed each night). I’ve even considered tearing the books apart,3-hole punching them and putting them in a binder. Just a request from one notebook junkie to another. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • 184.1
      KMac says:

You are not alone dear sister! Many have suggested that the publisher bind the member books with spirals. The response from Lifeway is that it would raise the price and that the potential for damage in shipping would considerably increase. You are welcome to take your member book to a local printing store and have it spiral bound for around $3. We are aware of many customers who do this on their own. We very much appreciate your suggestion and welcome you to email or call any time!

      • Bobbie says:

        KMac,
I have taken my last 3 or 4 to Kopy Korner on the suggestion of one of my brillant Siestas and I’m glad I have. I wouldn’t mind paying more for the initial workbook, but don’t want them to get messed up in shipping! It’s not really a problem and takes only a few minutes to have done.

    • 184.2
      Ann says:

      Erin,
I had my first Beth Moore workbook spiral bound at Kinko’s for about $2. Since then I have opted for having them put in a 3 ring binder. It costs about 99 cents to have the back cut off & about $2.00 to have it 3 hole punched. Then I buy the notebook there or a discount store. I like the binders best because I usually do the studies twice & I can merge the two.
      Hope this helps.
      Ann

    texatlast (formerly texatheart) says:

Love it. I file everything in Notebooks also. I organize my week in one. I counted 12 in my room but at school I have probably 40 more. Any book I buy I copy and put the pages in page protectors so they last longer. I then only have to copy the book once.

Thanks for the word today. I needed it. Looking so forward to January!

    Beth,

Congratulations on finishing up the manuscript on James. Melissa is being prayed over. Thank you too for such a timely Word. I just love how God does that. Exactly what I needed to hear today.

    Blessings,

    Rachel says:

Thank you so much for that word today! I am glad I didn’t see it until today. I wouldn’t have appreciated it nearly as much yesterday. My four year old is generally a good little girl but she was in a MOOD yesterday! I am afraid I showed annoyance quickly on more than one occasion throughout the looong day! Thank you for the great reminder to watch those facial expressions and such. I needed it!

  42. 192
    Sharon Jenkins says:

    Hey there!!!
Thank you for the video chat! I was missing you today :o)
Praising God for James and your completion of your part!! Holding up Melissa in prayer that God would speak a mighty word through her. I am one who with a look can let someone know how I feel… thank you for the reminder to not be easily irritated at others imperfections and short comings. I have enough of my own! THank you Lord for the humbling power of your Word!

    RaeLeen Bustin says:

Beth, I’m so excited that I will be with you this weekend in Columbus. I’m coming from Indy with two girlfriends who have never been to an LPL before. From full time missionary, to divorce, to single mom, I’m so ready to sit and allow the Holy Spirit speak to me this weekend. Love You Beth!

  44. 194
    Katy Harlan says:

Just wanted to tell you that I love you, Beth. Thank you for bringing me closer to our great God. Your studies have helped me to navigate my way through the Bible and to understand how it applies to life. I am grateful that you answered His calling for you. He is always good.

  45. 195
    Laura says:

Praise the Lord for finishing James! So very, very exciting!

I’m so excited to be coming to Columbus this weekend. We moved about a year ago and my dear friends from where we moved from invited me to go with them. It’s been a rough year financially and those sweet girls bought my ticket for me! I was actually going to try to get one of the free ones you usually give away! Now that can go to someone else. Brings me to tears to think about their generosity and the time I’ll get to spend with them. Thanks for listening to the Lord for something fresh. That is such a gift to all of us. See you this weekend!

    Shannon Costanzo says:

Thank you Siesta Mama for the word today.. It came and hit me on my head, which I needed. It’s always nice to be reminded of humility and our attitudes graciously before we get into trouble.

I am looking at my coffee table that has my binder on it. I made one for my vacation.. haha.

I would like to see a “Star Cam”.. The video from Star’s point of view as she walks through LPM. I suppose she may not like having a camera on her head though..

    Avayd Ann Lacy says:

Dear Beth, So good to SEE you! We just finished the up-dated David study. I had done the original one as my first study with you in 1998. I had no idea you had been through a scare with the big “C”. I am so thankful everything was ok.
I am going through a very difficult season right now. As always, the words you shared from the Word ministered to me. Bless you my sister for your ministry to all of us.I am literally walking by faith and if God does not show up, I am sunk.
I have a dear friend in Columbus and I hope she is going to be with you this week-end. I am waiting for you to be back in Kansas City next year.

    Jennifer Winner says:

Thanks for the video post! Love them! I am so excited to be coming to Columbus this weekend! Maybe your verse at the end was a clue to our study! I could definitely use that!!

    Hi Beth,
So looking forward to Columbus on Friday and Saturday. It is my birthday on Saturday so my husband and I are going to spend the night and celebrate. I have never seen you in person so am excited to experience hearing you!
Can’t wait for James. So appreciate your heart for woman and the responsibility that brings.
You have blessed my life more than you could ever know.
