So glad to hear you and Melissa are wrapping up the James study. Looking forward to studying it with a group of girls.

The word from Proverbs was fresh for me. Thanks for sharing it, I think it will be something for me to watch how I react at times…I am certain my face shows annoyance. I want to Bee wise and overlook the insult”)

Well, my friend Tanya and I are coming to Columbus this weekend. Can’t wait!! We seen you in Springfield a couple years ago. We love you and pray for you.

    Mama Beth!

I am so happy that you clarified what was “different” about you today because I spent the first 30 seconds or so of that video wondering that very thing. Such a precious message and furry friend! Thank you for the word from Proverbs…I needed that today!

    Much Love,

Ok, God totally busted me with your verse today. While watching your video this morning my son kept asking for something and then not listening to where I told him to find it. The third time I told him in a VERY annoyed tone where to find it and IMMEDIATELY after I finished my very sentence in the silence of the room you said, “A fool shows his annoyance at once…” No question who was speaking to me and WHAT he wanted me to understand. :)Thanks for passing along the message. Evidently I needed it.:)

Great to see you Beth!! It was funny, I was almost done watching the blog video and the door bell rang several times(it was 8:30am). I was annoyed it was so early!! How appropriate that you had just finished talking about that. I will endeavor to work on not being so. I might have to practice in the mirror a look of not being annoyed. I am not sure what I look like when I am but I am sure it is not the welcoming of faces.

    Love, Stacie

PS…Breaking Free is going well. I am starting homework for session 6.

Thank you so much for the time invested in each one of us, you are just the coolest! I was just sharing with two of my buddies yesterday how I’ve been asking God to help me with my facial reactions. Then here…so I know God is working on me. Love you & LPM Staff! My Man and I look forward to seeing you in September at Lubbock!

This was perfect. A friend and I had this conversation last night. We were irritated by several people and decided that it was an honor to be irritated because, it was a call to pray for the persons, as well as ourselves to be gentle and kind to others. After all, we have our own stuff that needs to be covered by the Blood. (Say it’s not so!)

Blessings on Melissa and you both. I look forward to hearing and reading all that the Lord has put on your hearts.

    Love you Girls, Di

Goodmorning Star! I think your Mama Beth needs a matching headband. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hi KMac! Mama Beth thank you for the vimeo message it is always a joy to “see” as well as hear you. I have a bunch of those white notebooks too, I practically write word for word your lessons (Fall Forward, Simulcast presentations, all of them) and put the notes in notebooks too so that I can share them with my 18 yr old son. Plus when I take notes, I listen better. The Word you shared and encouragement you gave regarding being annoyed confirmed my recent aha moment. My brother pointed out when we become annoyed, disheartened, discouraged the Lord feels it. He hurts when we hurt. Our strength should come from His joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength. Psalm 28:7. Recently after feelings of discouragement, sadness, depression I came to the conclusion no more, no more will I allow others to dictate how He feels in me. I love you Siestas, LPM family. Have a blessed day!

    Beth,
Thanks for visiting with us today. I almost felt as if you were right here with me in my dining room this morning. Looking forward to you bringing us the Word one month from today during Simulcast!

I’m not sure who is more “annoyed” around here latley, my 12 year old eye roller or her mother who REALLLLY needed that word from Proverbs today. I don’t want to be a fool!!! Do I want to be prudent though? What is that anyway? I’ll go get websters…

Thanks for that word today. Star is adorable with or without the bandana.

    Paula says:

Thanks so much for sharing your process. Isn’t it wonderful how differently He has made each of us, with different gifts, character traits, etc. I love having the Strong’s Concordance online for something I need to look up quickly but for some reason I get much more out of my study when I sit down with the actual book in front of me and copy things into a notebook (I’m a SPIRAL notebook gal.)

I recently purchased and began reading the works of Josephus. I am saving up for one of the systematic theologies you suggested (Gruden.) Meanwhile, I am blessed to work at a church for two pastors who have a vast library that they share willingly.

I am MOST blessed, though, to be surrounded by Christian fellowship, young Christians and old, from a variety of church and cultural backgrounds. Despite the fact we have never met, I consider you a part of that circle of fellowship as I enjoy your blogs, live conferences, messages on Life Today, books and Bible studies. Thanks.

The verse I am enjoying this week is Jeremiah 6:16, specifically the “ancient path.” The word “ancient” (“old” in the KJV) is from a word that includes the idea of eternity past and future. As I was studying a bit more of this verse (too much to put here) it brought to mind Jesus, “I am the way . . .” John 14:6.

  14. 114

this was a word to me, hot breath out of the mouth of God. I haven’t been able to be on here for a while, it’s a tough season for me. but I receive this LORD! I’m clinging to the LORD and HE IS FAITHFUL!!!!!

    Barbara Head says:

I was just about to get quickly annoyed today at your stepping on my toes with Proverbs. BUT I also quickly repented and am so blessed to have that word spoken over me. The Lord is certainly working over me with this particular sin. I love you so much and you always have such a timely word. Praise the Lord!!!

  16. 116
    Sandra says:

Beth, you are too funny. My first thought about what was different was your hair looked flatter than usual. I truly like it. Thanks for the words of wisdom from Proverbs. They spoke to me. I need God to change my facial expressions because people make comments to me while I am silent that are opposite then what I am thinking. Does that make sense?

Looking forward to studying James with much excitement. Thanks for the awesome work you and Melissa have put into it. Will continue to pray for you and Melissa.

    Mona says:

    Oh Beth,
Girl, you crack me up. I came in early to work this morning, and saw that, through email update, you’d put something new on the blog. When you started talking about your “eye patch,” I just put my head down and laughed. I had to hit pause just after that point to go to the front office, but I was smiling all the way down the hall. I knew I had to write something back to you, and I got teary eyed thinking about it. I love the hairdo mainly because it shows more of your beautiful face. It’s not beautiful just because you’re pretty, but because God has used your mouth, and the expressions on your face to speak right into my heart. I am so looking forward to the James study! I’ve already told my pastor about it and that I wanted to do it in November. He said he figured as much [grin]. You better believe I’ll be thinking about what my expressions are saying today. Love you – praying for you all, esp. Melissa.

    Ashley says:

My sweet Spiritual Momma…you warm me up.

    Your bangs…perfect. Let’s forego the scrunchie. ๐Ÿ˜‰

SO exited about James! Praying for Melissa too, what an inspiration you both are! I would joyfully accept an invitation to be a Moore anyday.

    Notebooks…me too. Hole punch bliss.

LPM sign…beautiful! What a cool idea!

Proverbs 12:16…you got me with the facial expressions. I smiled, even. I think this aspect of annoyance is one that so easily slips through and I need to be much more humble and loving.

Star…lookin good girl. Naked or not…we shall not scorneth. ๐Ÿ˜‰

LOVE you tons! I hope the ENTIRE LMP staff and all of these sweet siestas have an AMAZING day!!

Today’s message was such a necessary blessing that I can’t describe how perfect the timing was on it. I’m a middle school math & science teacher at a Christian school & the first teacher workday is 8 days from today … your preparing for things is inspiring me to go ahead & start today getting ready for next week’s school starting. I fully enjoyed Charlotte (12 of our group were able to go) & thank you for also being there through this blog & the Bible studies (I just finished the Esther study with our women’s Bible Study group). Thanks for the Blog messages … this is the 2nd one I’ve received.

Well…well…long time…no see. It was a blessing to see and hear you once again. I am so excited about the new study “James Mercy Triumphs” I am already having the church advertise this in our bulletins and telling everyone to purchase the book come November.
Our study will begin in January. Again, thank you for sharing and we love you.

  25. 125

Beth – Girlfried you look about 23 years old with that hair and sassy light lipstick. Cute cute cute. I am so happy you are where you are in your completion of James and will continue to pray for your girl. I so love that you and Melissa teamed up. I got to thinking about that this very morning when I was blow-drying my hair – about how proud you must be to partner with her and to be the mother of the pastor’s wife!

My husband’s orthodontist (yes, he is in braces) is a member of our son’s church and we talked last night at supper that the doc said at his appt yesterday, “how is my pastor’s father?” and then my hairdresser asked me yesterday, “how is my pastor’s mother?” I love that sort of community where our people know and love each other. It is a blessing I do not take lightly.

Love you and thank you for the word from Proverbs. I am going to watch my facial expressions today. They are a giveaway too often and my heart attitude should reflect on my face. Received.

    Your friend,
    G.J.

How exciting to hear about the James study. I will definitely look forward to do that one- I am sure it will be quite challenging!

      Kelly,
So sorry of your loss. My mother passed away with cancer a few years ago and I would have loved to share with her the Beth Moore Bible studies as well. She would have loved it. Sometimes, I really miss her.
Thank you for sharing your heart. God bless you. in Christ

    Dear Sweet Beth,

How super excited this Buckeye nut is to hear and see your video! I was excited to see your James notebook and will continue prayers for Melissa.

The notebook with Columbus,OH on it—ohhhhhh, soooo very excited to see you in a couple days!!! Here in Ohio, we spell our state as a cheer by saying OH and then someone else replies IO!esp. in the arena where you will be speaking. How much more exciting it will be to hear the Worship of our Savior in song and Word!

I’ve traveled twice to Kentucky to LP Live,so I am busting at the seams that you will be just an hour drive away in Columbus! I’ve been praying for your word from God to us. Nine women from our study of “Why Godly People Do Ungodly Things” are coming!!!

    Finish well and travel mercies,
    Siesta Valerie

    Church Lady says:

It was so good to hear from you on video. I immediately picked up on the bangs and the pail lipstick looks great on you. I am so excited for you that the James study is nearing completion.
I also loved Star’s bandana. You know that I do have a love for camo. I’m sure that Mr. Keith, like my husband and myself, is looking forward to fall and hunting season.
As is write to you, my husband and son are on a mission trip to Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota. Please pray for our mission team and the people of Pine Ridge. The conditions there are so, so sad. People try to think of all kinds of ways to solve the situation there but the truth is that they are in desperate need of Jesus. The people on the mission trip have seen some horrible things and they will never be the same, as we all should.
Also, the church that I serve in is gearing up for the Simulcast on Sept. 10th. We are so very excited to do this again. I pray for you and your team as you prepare for this event.
    Love you like crazy,
    Jeanie

    Mindy says:

Morning Beth! Just had to tell you how much I am “nuts about you” too! ๐Ÿ™‚ Just finished your Fruits of the Spirit study and whew, it was great! Thank you so much for the growth, the conviction, and the increase in faith!!! Love your work and your insight—feels like you speak straight to my heart from the mouth of God each time I see/read ya! Blessings to you and the entire LPM team. —from sunny CA, Mindy

    Angey says:

You have NO idead how much your choice of scripture spoke to me today. Just the fact that your video showed up is an answer to my prayer from last night that He help me to make my day a God centered one. I am doing your Living Free Bible study and one of the prayers I wrote last night was for the Lord to help me squash my pride. I did not expect it to come in the form of being told that my being annoyed and showing it WAS pride. Talk about squashing two problems at once. He is so wise! I am crazy about you too, lady! You make me laugh my head off:)

    Cathie Byers says:

First I love notebooks also!! Everything so nice and organized with tabs!! Love it..

Second I just about fell out of my chair with tears rolling down my cheeks with your verse in Proverbs..

I have someone I work with who lets just say NEEDS LOTS OF PRAYERS and God has really helped with changing me to deal with the issue BUT YESTERDAY I was horrible and LOST MY MIND!! I felt so horrible about my attitude that I was sick all day(holy spirit)!! I don’t even know who that person was that was yelling and God convicted me of it and I didn’t sleep well and knew what I had to do…. UGH so this morning I sucked in my pride (OH I wanted to say well you were wrong but my delivery was mean) Over and over in my head I played it on my way to work and God just said apologize for being mean nothing more… I did (boy not easy)and as you all know I felt much better and we went on like normal and then I am going through my morning clink on the link for the video and WHAMO!! The verse smacked me!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! He spoke directly through you to me!! What an awesome best friend to take time to correct and talk with me even when I am definitely not worthy! WOW kind of cool that he does that for all of us!! Now I need to wipe away my tears and get back to work!! Thank you for your constant prayers!! Have a blessed day everyone!

  34. 134
    Cindy Bull says:

Thank you for your encouraging words. I find that when under pressure I can be easily annoyed so with all that I a have going this was a word for me today!

It really struck me as funny because tonight at 6pm we the very first meeting of our soon to be organized and established women’s ministry and I was organizing my notes in a very organized 3 ring binder. I wanted to get a binder for each woman on my board of directors but I choose to save money and use a paper clip instead. I have been declared director my our senior pastor and I could not be more joyful and scared!

Beth, thank you for blessing my socks off AGAIN this mornin. I praise God for your sharing heart!! I loved your video greeting and hearing tidbits about the processes you put in place to be so POWERFUL for God’s Kingdom. I also loved your word for us today – it was exactly what I needed to hear.

Praising the Lord with you as you dotted the last period of the James study. Looking forward to seeing you in Salt Lake later this month! I wanted to share with you that I am teaching a class at my church on “Memorizing & Meditating on Scripture) for 2 weeks. We had 15 people attend this past Sunday. I used many of the tools we use in the Siesta Scripture memory team….Literally, memorizing the Word has changed me from the inside out. They all got some 3×5 cards and we are going to practice their verses this week!!! I have a quote from you from the first Siesta Celebration in Houston in 2010, “Do not pass it until you plant it”…Thanks so much, Beth. love, Pam in San Diego

    Kristen says:

Thank you so much for that verse from Proverbs…it’s amazing that not 20 minutes before I was (ashamedly) rude to my own mother…making sure she knew by my huffing that I was annoyed with her. What I fool I can be. Thank you Jesus for granting us (especially me!) the gift of repentence. And thank you Beth! Can’t wait for your new study!

  49. 149
    Kathy B says:

WooHoo! I’m so proud of you, Renee ๐Ÿ™‚ Is it name dropping to say I know you? Do you happen to know my initials? Should I forward them? Really gorgeous, Darlin’!

Thanks for the “Howdy”, Beth. My husband shares your notebook fetish. I recently cleaned out a closet and actually…threw some away (gasp). I know, I know. Please don’t tell.

What a word! Not easily annoyed. Have you been following me in traffic? Did you notice I Don’t have a fish on my car? Hated to make the Lord look bad. Pride? Bummer. So true, though. Thanks for not giving up on me, Lord. Sigh. Off to drive across town. Actually my husband will be driving. I don’t think I’ll mention the notebooks. I’d hate to tempt him to be easily annoyed.

  50. 150
    Jeanette Dahm says:

Thanks Beth for the video greeting. You are always so encouraging and uplifting. I love the word from Proverbs. I am going to watch myself closely about being annoyed. When you explained it as a response to being prideful it made me think. Things only bother me if they do not going according to MY plan or expectations. Forgive me Father. I want to walk in YOUR plan and fulfill your expectations for my life.
