Hey, Darling Things! I am on my way to our Little Rock Living Proof Live with much joy, anxiousness, and anticipation and pure-dee desperation for Jesus to show up. He’s all we’ve got to offer. And, gloriously, He’s all we need.
Don’t even think of dropping out of our Scripture Memory Team! If you let the Word dwell in you richly, I promise you that, when this calendar year closes, you will have experienced a completely different 12 months than you would have if you’d let your own opinions, agendas, quandaries, fears, feelings, insecurities, and bondage dwell in you richly. God’s Word WORKS. He sends it forth with accomplishing power. Don’t just memorize the words. BELIEVE THEM. Take them all the way to your heart and apply them to your real, live experience.
My verse this time around is one I’ve loved for a long time, especially as it’s worded in the NIV, but I’ve never committed it to memory. You’re welcome to join me if you don’t have another one planned. Here goes:
Beth, Houston. “Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!” Isaiah 30:18 NIV

A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls. Proverbs 31:10-15 NIV

Hi Beth – I attended your conference and received such a blessing. I will tell you that Satan tried every way in the world to prevent me from coming; however, our God had other plans. I appreciate so much your transparency and your encouragement for us to fullfill our ministry. I have been leading a women’s bible group for a little over a year now and have felt so inadequate. I found myself hovering in the thoughts of failure and being so critical about how I presented the lessons. I was just terrified and to beat all the women in my class are very seasoned, mature christians. I KNEW I was supposed to teach but I had migrated to leaning on my ability to do it. It had got so bad that I was afraid to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to me directly from His word and found myself searching the internet or using books and others material to prepare the lessons (so, to put it bluntly I did not seek God’s direction at all in the lesson preparation because I had no confidence in my ability to hear/see what God wanted me to do). During the conference the Holy Spirit gave me a HUGE victory and helped me understand to just LISTEN and TRUST him and stop doubting (it was sin and I had to ask for forgiveness). I went home Saturday and prepared my lesson and GOD graced our class with a lesson that came directly from him. I’m so grateful. Thank you for being used by his Spirit.
This was such an encouragement to me Charlotte! What was your verse? Thanks again!
