OK, Sisters! Let’s hear it! Who wants to participate? IT’S TIME FOR ROLL CALL.
Here’s what you do:
*Enter ONE COMMENT PER PERSON so that we can tell from the number of comments exactly how many are participating. If you’re overseeing a small group through our blog discussion, please ask each participant to sign up separately. It will only take a few moments and will make the list so much more fun and far easier to read. If you invited a friend to participate but she doesn’t know how to post a comment yet, sign up for her then take her through AJ’s tutorial (see previous post) so she can learn to do it on her own from this point forward. Remember that we moderate all comments here so please don’t sign up twice unless you still don’t see yours posted the next day.
*In your comment, give your…

If this happens to be the first time you’ve ever participated in this community, let us know! You are so welcome here. You are also under no pressure. This is strictly to enrich your sweet life, not to add one more interminable thing to your schedule. In the weeks to come, add a comment when you want. Otherwise, just enjoy perusing the insights and discussions of others as often as you like.
Today is roll call for our book discussion then this coming Thursday, February 11th, I’ll give your first reading assignment and post your first week’s questions. You’ll have all week to post your answers through a comment so don’t panic if you ordered a book and it hasn’t come yet. It won’t be hard to catch up. Again, if you don’t feel like you have anything to add that week, no big deal! The more we limit our answers to the questions that particularly resonate with us, the richer our commentary will be.
You guys are such a blast. I can’t wait to take this journey with you. You were such a huge inspiration that it’s fitting. To those of you who are joining us for the first time in order to participate in a “book club” experience, we are thrilled you are here. Jump in!
I’m crazy about you. Let’s dump a bad friend, Girls.

Finally got my book.
Dear Lord, Help me to let go of my insecurity and serve you with all my talents that you have graced me with.
Current insecurity is with Adult children who can't live within their means and want to drain me.
Expectations-From past hurt, I have built a wall up around myself and I know that this is not healthy and it won't help me reach my family for Christ.
Week 2
False Positive-financial &trim firm body and youthfulness will make me more secure, Ha!Ha! Only Jesus will make me secure, not earthly things.
Challenge
Lord help the secure part of me overtake the earthened vessel to drive out negative emotions, negative reactions and negative relationships.
What am I afraid of losing-money,husband
Who am I afraid of-Satan
Who will displace me-my ex-girlfriend or a blond
Who do I relate to – Moses because he said SEND SOME ONE ELSE, LORD.
I say that to the Lord all the time.
THE TRESURE I HAVE AND THE TREASURE I AM WILL BE VISABLE TO ME THROUGH CHRIST.
THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD WILL BE UPON US.
Thank you Beth for writing a book that makes us look inside ourselves and rely on Jesus' strength to fearlessly serve him.
Sorry forgot

i am so frustrated
1. Well, first of all I'm feelin alittle insecure tryin to get this blog to post. I wrote on week 1 and it didn't and now I've tried this week and it didn't. So, I created a new one,(which by the way is totally different so maybe this will really work.) in hopes to help remove some of my insecurities out of the way. At first I thought my weight would be my primary 'false positive'. Then I realized I had just spent an hour reading blogs posted before mine to get an idea of what to write about. WHAT? Why did I have to do that? I subconciously was making sure I would say something that "fit in" with everyone elses posts. I was surprised and horrified to think I was "insecure about my insecurity." Well, I was ready for the weight thing but now I guess my journey has another road to turn down. I'm a mess. Good thing I'm reading this book and have all of you to bounce off of.
2. To let the healthy, uttery whole, and completely secure part of us increasingly overtake our earthen vessels until it drives our every emotion, reaction, and relationship.
3. I never really thought about it much but Moses and I have alot in common. Okay, So I also choke on my words when I have to explain or speak about a subject. I may know all the detail and feel comfortable with the knowledge I have but I am so like Moses when it comes to speaking my thoughts out loud. I don't think I get my heart across my lips. There have been a few times when in the moment of a crisis and witnessing to a friend in pain the words came out perfectly and I knew at the instant I spoke them they were not my words but His. God be Glorified. Funny thing is we were in reaction mode and I sent up a quick "Lord, are you with me?, I need you to give me help." He was, is, and always will be.
I am also studying Breaking Free for the 2nd time and we just finished week 4. Very emotional for me. Beth, My husband and I are now in the process of deciding if we should appeal a court order given to the birth parents of our son we raised for 6 1/2 years. He was 15 month when his mother gave him to us and almost 7 when she took him out of our home. Its been so very hard on him. He has been bounced back and forth and now is with his father (who he only met in Dec 07). This order is stating we only have a visitation once a month and in May will be heard to decide if that visitation will continue or be removed completely. Our son wants to come back home and the courts will not hear his voice. We don't know the real motive behind his parents wanting us to be completely removed. Don't they understand they can never replace the place we have in his heart? I guess I know that answer but Satan has a firm hold on them both. The mother is my ex-daughter in law and the father is a strip club owner.. If you could lift up our situation we would appreciate it. If our son can not come home/or we can no longer see him, we pray God is using him to bring HIS LIGHT into their lives. God bless you Beth, Melissa and Amanda.

Beth,
I started this book last week not knowing this group existed, and completely unaware that I would have one of the biggest attacks of insecurity ever in my life over the past 2 days. God foreknew my need and provided a support and a voice that would speak truth in the midst of swirling false perceptions. Thank you…and I'm excited to uproot it all!
