LONG STORY OF HOW IT ALL CAME TOGETHER BUT ESSENTIALLY THIS IS IT: AMANDA HAD CALLED VET CLINICS AND ONE CALLED BACK AT THE END OF THE DAY PUTTING PIECES TOGETHER OF A WOMAN WHO’D BROUGHT IN A LOST DOG THIS MORNING. THEN, MELISSA PUT UP SIGNS AND THE TEENAGE DAUGHTER OF THE WOMAN WHO’D TAKEN HER TO THE VET SAW THE SIGN AND CALLED, SAYING SHE MAY HAVE HER. KEITH, LIS AND I WAITED ON THE CURB AND UP THE GIRL DROVE, SUNNY’S HEAD OUT THE WINDOW GRINNING EAR TO EAR. WE ARE ABSOLUTELY BESIDE OURSELVES. HAPPY OUT OF OUR MINDS. BEANIE IS ECSTATIC! YOU ARE THE BEST PRAYER WARRIORS IN THE WORLD. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL AND LOVE YOU A JILLION.

I can’t remember if Sunny or Beanie is your German short-hair pointer, but late October our German short-hair,Coco, who we had since a pup (about 6 yrs.) and our new Bernese Mountain Dog ran away and we still have been without them. Let me tell you that there have been many prayers sent to the throne for those dogs, especially Coco, from our whole family, and nothing gets me more than one of my 3 little girls breaking down in tears praying for those dogs, their hearts have truly been broken. So I am praising the Lord with you for your return of Sunny!!!!
I must have checked your blog a thousand times hoping for great news. THANKFULLY our prayers were answered! Happy Sunny Day!

Thank you, Father!! Isn’t it just something that we have a Father who can be broken hearted with us over a lost beloved pet? He loves us so much – I don’t know how people survive day to day without knowing him!

I missed all the drama because I was celebrating my birthday (hanging out with my man, eating, shopping–it was a good day!). 😉 I just checked in to see what’s been happening with y’all and my heart went out to you immediately. We’ve had some pet drama ourselves lately. I am so thankful we have a God who loves us so much and cares about every detail of our lives–even down to our concern for our animal friends. Oh praise God! I prayed for her safe return, and also asked a friend (who doesn’t read this blog, but reads Beth’s books) to pray as well. I’m so happy and thankful for God’s faithfulness. I can’t wait to tell my friend that Sunny is home!

I haven’t been able to think about anything but the return of your best buddy, so upset for you. My husband was upset, too! With this time change from Germany it was awful to not be able to keep up with your time zone. Thanking God for the rest of the day…sigh…
I’m so glad Sunny is home. We have a 15 year old furry friend with us, and I can empathize with your sadness, then joy and excitement. Thank you, Jesus! He meets not only our needs, but also many of our desires. Praise God!

You know, Manda, I was getting so defensive ( and yes I confess mad) over those that call us Beth’s “groupies” or The Beth Moore Fan Club. My blood boils because I want to just smack them in the name of JESUS. But, I don’t get to that 🙂
As I looked at all the posts from all of us Siestas’ who were crying with Beth and the rest of the family for Sunny to be found, the truth struck me like a big lightening bolt!
The Siesta’s love Beth and all of you in her family and even her dogs because GOD first caused that love for us in Beth. She said she could picture us as she wrote her Bible Studies – our faces, our struggles.
She poured her love into us and we received it in the name of Jesus. She is our “sister, mother, bestfriend” whatever age we are, all in Christ. You guys have become loved as well because who doesn’t love their bestfriends children?
To all of those who accuse us, they don’t understand this. She poured her love of the word and the desire to love HIM into us and we love her right back. We love our JESUS more because of her teaching.
Ok, too longwinded of a post, but, I’m so glad that little Sunny is home!! All of women praying and crying for Sunny and she comes riding up in a car makes me laugh!
Makes me also think of a lost child of GOD and they come back to HIM and all those angels in heaven rejoicing! Here we are rejoicing over Sunny – Don’t we think the Father and the angels rejoice over us?

There is nothing that touches our life that does not concern our Heavenly Father. I just knew that God would bring her home before the conference this weekend. Thanks for sharing your everyday life, ups and downs with us. God is good. AND I firmly believe that Jesus Christ himself is a dog lover, and He learned this from His Father. AMEN.

Beth, I’m sad that you and the family, especially Sunny, had to go through this. I’m not sure why you got this kind of sifting? Perhaps God needed to hear the prayers of over 600 siestas praying to Him in harmony about the details of a sisters life. I just wonder what kind of glory it brought our Lord to hear all of us praying to bring Sunny home? I think there is a smile on His face. I know He was honored by our asking on this one!

With my two little Bible Study buddies by my side (Tiki and Pup pup) I say, Hallelujah! We woke in the night (yes…the three of us!) and prayed and Sunny was already home. I’m so glad for a happy ending!

First time blogger—-The Lord is so awesome!! I had been praying a lot for your Sunny to return home and felt sure that she would. I had a dream on Thursday morning and in the dream you announced that she had come home. When I lived in Virginia, my Irish Setter used to escape occasionally and I would pray up a storm for him to come home. I always got him back after about 3 or 4 hours as someone would always call and let us know that he had wandered into their yard. Beth, I have learned so much from you over the years in all the Bible studies I have done. You have such a heart for the Lord. Keep up the good work.

Praise Jesus! Two weeks ago, I went through the same thing with my beloved Bear. Prayed constantly! When he finally came home, I immediately dropped to my knees and thanked God for bringing my baby home! I’m SO glad God cares about us that much!
