SHE’S HOME! SHE’S HOME! PRAISE JESUS, SHE’S HOME! CAN YOU BELIEVE YOUR EYES??? THANK YOU, THANK YOU, A MILLION TIMES THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS! LONG STORY OF HOW IT ALL CAME TOGETHER BUT ESSENTIALLY THIS IS IT: AMANDA HAD CALLED VET CLINICS AND ONE CALLED BACK AT THE END OF THE DAY PUTTING PIECES TOGETHER OF A WOMAN WHO’D BROUGHT IN A LOST DOG THIS MORNING. THEN, MELISSA PUT UP SIGNS AND THE TEENAGE DAUGHTER OF THE WOMAN WHO’D TAKEN HER TO THE VET SAW THE SIGN AND CALLED, SAYING SHE MAY HAVE HER. KEITH, LIS AND I WAITED ON THE CURB AND UP THE GIRL DROVE, SUNNY’S HEAD OUT THE WINDOW GRINNING EAR TO EAR. WE ARE ABSOLUTELY BESIDE OURSELVES. HAPPY OUT OF OUR MINDS. BEANIE IS ECSTATIC! YOU ARE THE BEST PRAYER WARRIORS IN THE WORLD. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL AND LOVE YOU A JILLION.

Praise the Lord! I prayed for her to be found safe and sound, as if she were your child.
Thank You, Lord Jesus! Blessed is the Name of the Lord.
Please do not feel guilty for treating her like the special-God-created-bundle-of-love she is. She is not ‘just a dog’. She is a VERY SPECIAL GIFT from the Lord, and there is no such a thing as “just a gift from the Lord”.
You are absolutely right in appreciating her and valuing her so high.
Bless her and you all.
So glad Sunny is home. Yes even though they are dogs they sure have a special place in our hearts.
I have already put this prayer request on the prayer list, but I know how much all our sistas love to pray and look what happened with Sunny, so please can you pray for my friend Helene she lives in Victoria, Canada. She has been very sick in hospital and yesterday they found out she has advanced liver cancer and it’s bad. She is in her forties and has a husband, 2 small girls and a twin sister. We are all praying for a miracle. I’m hoping because I’m the 6 hundred post for here that this will not be lost and our sistas not see it. Beth, Amanda please can you pass this on to our sistas and all the people you know. Thank you. We all have seen the power of prayer.

I was just asking God to turn my mood around – it hasn’t been so good – and BAM!! – I get on my computer and read (a day late) that sweet Sunny is home! Oh – God is Good and Faithful – to bring Sunny home and change my mood! Thank you, Jesus!
I am truly happy for your family!
Much love!
Woo Hoo!!! God is good!! I’m so glad Sunny is home. Been checking in every day. My heart is full and light. Melissa and Sunny are home at the same time. The Moore household is truly blessed.

How cool is this? Sunny is home and life is good…it’s kind of like God does with us, eh? We wander off and He doesn’t stop looking til He finds us…and even in the lost part He protects by the caring of others in the family…
Praise God, I really needed to get an answer to prayer….Praise God
I could hardly wait to log on and see if Sunny girl was home – I just felt it in my spirit that she was!!! I am so happy about this dog – she has brought joy to ALL our lives.

Oh,praise Him! A million times praise Him! Rejoicing with you.
Dearest Beth – Glad to hear that Sunny made it home. I was praying that the Lord would send your special dog home. God is AWESOME, isn’t he??!! Enjoy, Enjoy!!! Much love from your Siesta in Lathrop, Missouri
Hooray!! Glad Sunny is back in the fold.
YAY!
I couldn’t help but think about….
“MOORE POWER” in this story…how the Moore’s (and others) got together to bring resolution to this problem!!
The “Prodigal Dog” in this story…how the image of the Moore’s waiting on the curb for the return of Sunny might compare to the father waiting on his “prodigal son”!!
Glad to hear that the ending was a happy one!!

Having experenced the joy of finding a lost loved pet I am over joyed for you! Our God is so good.
My 10-year-old daughter was praying mightily for Sunny’s return. She asked that I post you a note letting you know that she is praising God for the gift of your dog’s homecoming! (As is the rest of our family!!)
i have been dying to get back to my computer to check on Sunny!! I’m just moved to tears!!! SO THANKFUL she’s home….how like our Father to want you to have your sweet pup back!! I FULLY believe, with you, that it was the prayers that brought her back…can’t you just see our Lord perfectly arranging the events that would bring her right back home?? Can’t you just see Him arranging the circumstances in ‘our’ lives to bring us right back home to Him when we wander away?? Too COOL!!!
Beth, I rejoice Sunny is home!! It reminded me how many ‘Sunny humans’ are lost. God wants us to really care about them…go out searching for them. That is what Jesus is doing. Thank you Lord for reminding us through Sunny how good it is to be found! I pray for you and God’s call on your life. Barbara
Well, I just realized that God needs some More PRAISE over Sunny!!! I went back to see the pictures of Sunny from Jan. 8, 2007
where Beth was afraid that Sunny wasn’t going to make it. Now she is DASHING off to Lalaland. Come on Seistas, give Him some praise for His miraculas protection and provision for Beth’s beloved dog.
Praying now for Beth’s refreshed heart to allow the Spirit to knock them out in SD!!!
FYI, I am NOT a dog person but I actually cried over Sunny coming home. All I could “see and hear” was Suuny’s head hanging out the car and Beth saying, “Open thy mouth and I will fill it”. Thank you LORD!!!
SUNNY IS A MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY AND WE ALL LOVE YOUR FAMILY SO WE ALL LOVE SUNNY. I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT HER TODAY AND HOW BIG THAT HOLE IN YOUR LIFE SEEMS WHEN A FAMILY MEMBER IS MISSING.I AM SOOOO HAPPY THAT SUNNY IS HOME SAFE AND SOUND AND THE FAMILY UNIT IS ALL TOGETHER AGAIN. GLORY TO GOD. HE KNOWS WHEN A SPARROW FALLS FROM THE SKY AND HE KNOWS HOW MUCH SUNNY WAS MISSED.
BLESSIN’S TO Y’ALL.
NANCY FROM MA
Beth,
I’m so happy you have found your beloved Sunny! I was just heartbrooken for you and the family. I’m glad your week had a Sunny ending after all!
Love you,
Kristen
Wow, Beth!–what a special, personal, sweet blessing, to have Sunny home before you went to San Diego! I am sure He will use that experience to touch each person there–and remind you that there is NOTHING that is impossible for Him. I am a cat person, have only bonded with a few dogs in my life, but I sure prayed my guts out for THIS special doggie! God is so faithful–now back to praying for your time with all those precious women & your team! Thank you for bringing this prodigal pup home, El-roi, the God Who sees!!!!!!!!
Ms. Beth,
In celebration of Sunny’s safe return, I mad you a little something with a couple of pics I found on the blog.

Amazing Grace, How sweet the news. Sunny was lost, but now she’s found.
Siestaville was not blind– we knew Who to look to, but it sure is great to have our faith confirmed with joyous news.
Thank you Jesus
Love,
Tammy in Montana
Dearest Beth,
I was at the conference tonight in San Diego, and I am a fellow Siesta blogger. I just read about Sunny this afternoon before we attended the conference, and let me tell you I completely agree, “Don’t ask me if dogs go to heaven because God didn’t give those beautiful creatures with such sweet spirits to just have them be all done. Praise God that Sunny came home to you, and yes I know it is not cancer, or dirty water, or aids, etc… but on April 3rd 08, my sweet 1st baby of 15 years had to be put down. and my husband and myself were there with her it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do to say goodbye to my beloved family member. But God is great and great is His faithfulness, we climbed into our truck and on k-love was Newsboys singing “I am Free” my baby had been blind for 5 years and at this final stage was having a hard time walking. It was the right decision. And God gave me a gift to let me know she was free…..
I cant wait to see what else God is going to do this weekend here in San Diego!
Thank you for always sharing, God Bless
Mary
Praise God! I have been praying for Sunny to come home.
I am so happy!!! I have checked online everyday and just prayed I would see that she was found! God is so good. He cares about every detail of our lives!
Love,
Susan
I didn’t have time to post on Thursday. I had just enough time to check the blog before I went to bed.
I walked back to the bedroom and my husband asked me what I was grinning about. I said Beth Moore found her dog. He looked at me like I’d lost my mind….the fact I cared that someone I don’t even know have way across the country had lost their dog and now it has been found. But I do know Beth Moore because of the Bible studies and this blog. And I was ecstatic to hear Sunny is home!
Praise Jesus! God is so awesome and He hears the cries of our hearts moment by moment! PRAISE GOD!!! Hallelujah! I am thrilled for you and your family. God bless. Love up on Sunny for me. I loved up on my Moses for you!
God answers prayers. I am so happy for you. Hogtie that dog! He gave us all a scare.
Beth, this is the first time I have written on this blog but I have to tell you. I live in Ft Worth and we were hit pretty hard Wednesday with some nasty tornado like weather. I have been without power so I did not know about Sunny’s homecoming. I want to tell you that I “prayed without ceasing” until our power was restored. Your blog was the first thing I looked at. Thank you Jesus for her return.
Praise Jesus!!! I am so happy for you!!! I prayed and I cried right along with you. I kept remembering the night my baby (black lab) was lost over night! What a horrible feeling!! I am so happy Sunny is back!! Welcome home baby girl!!!
I just KNEW you’d get her back! What an AWESOME GOD!!!
As I was getting ready this morning I was thinking of your dog Sunny being lost. The Lord reminded me of the parable of the lost sheep in Matthew 18:10-14.
I thought of all that you did to find that precious Sunny and the Lord asked me if I act in the same manner over lost souls? Do I have that same heartfelt desperation in others coming to Christ? It pierced my heart what I found hidden there. The truth is, I don’t.
I’am very thankful that you found Sunny. Imagine what the Lord feels when one of His sheep are found!
So pleased you got sunny back, I however, got something extra from your story. How often we pray without action. You prayed for sunny’s return but also looked for him, called the vet’s office, & put up posters. How often we pray for things: help me lose weight Lord, or help me get a new job. Then we don’t put down the twinkie, and update our resume. I can apply the “dog story” to my prayer life. Thanks. Praise God.
Praise God, Praise God, Praise God!!!
Beth, I am right there with as a dog lover and truly felt your pain all the way up here in Wisconsin. I have a darling yellow lab – Abby that is so totally my dog. If something were to happen to her, I would be completely distraught!
Praise God that He granted this request! Hug and pet that Sunny until your heart is content!
God bless you!
Hi Beth, I just got home from LPL in San Diego and wanted to drop you a note to express my joy in the return of Sunny!
I used to be one of those people who would have thought, but not said, something like “it’s a DOG for crin’ out loud, get a grip” that was before the first Sunday of December ’07 when an owl took my precious two year old EMMY a Yorky/Maltese mix who was my best friend and did so much to keep me company during this time of transition from being the much needed mom to empty nester trying to figure out what my new normal is supposed to look like. As if the fact that she was taken by an owl is not enough, it happend right in front of my husband – we were CRUSHED! When we came back in the house after giving up hope of finding Em, we had to get ready for church – standing and crying I began to sing to my husband “There is Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy down in my heart, down in my heart, down in my heart… The joy in our hearts is the only way we were able to make it through the busy morning of leadership.
I rejoice that your story turned out so well. Kind of a reminder not to let even the little things be taken for granted and a shovel upside the head not to get in a place of complacency with our relationship with the Father.
Thank you for your words this weekend, May you be blessed with refreshment as you prepare for the next event on your schedule. ~Holly in SD
Yaaaaaaaaaahoo-jah!!!
Hallelujah! Sunny is home!!!! I have been praying and praying since your original request, and have just gotten back online and am overjoyed!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!
Much love to you!
Tara
Okay so um…the link to the picture got cut off. But if yyou click on my name and go to my blog, you can get it there. 🙂
I am the wife of a husband totally in love with his beagles and we have other dogs all over the place. In just now reading about the events of the week, I am sorry I didn’t know to pray but am thankful others did and she’s home. We do have to keep things in perspective with out pets but I’ll tell you, dogs are one of the few creatures that love unconditionally. I got my husband the book Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover’s Soul and he would nearly weep telling me stories from it. From one dog lover to another, we are praising God with you over the homecoming.
Isn’t the LORD just the best. And he would still be had Sunny not been found, but Praise God he was. Thank you so much for your ministry. I was saved by the grace of God at an event in Evansville, IN. I can’t tell you what your ministry has meant to me and how you have helped me really see the cross in my life. I just gave my testimony in full (all the ugly and not so nice parts) to my small group. I remembered praying with you in IN. for freedom (this was after I prayed for salvation of course) and I can tell you that after three years of intense Godly counsel, freedom has come. And it feels so very good. Thanks to the Lord Jesus for his grace and thank you for your ministry. God is good, all the time, all the time, HE is good!

I am so glad that your Sunny is home. Aren’t dogs the most wonderful thing? Praise God for caring for Sunny – and you.
Evidence of God at work!!!!
A few weeks ago at our Moms in Touch meeting we prayed because one of our members had a dog that had been missing for over two days.
When she returned home from our MIT meeting, Hazel was in the driveway. We had a rejoicing time that night.
Praise the Lord for Sunny’s safe return. God knows and understands our tremendous love for our animal friends. I just know he does.
Oh, I’m so glad your friend is back! I’ve thought about you a lot. I have had a sinus infection since last Thursday and haven’t been on here that whole time, but thought about you and prayed.
Dear Beth, This has given me hope to read about Sunny and your joy at her homecoming. My precious little Silky Terrier, Mira (Miracle) is missing since last Wed., when we had a fierce storm and flooding. She is terrified of storms, and went through the doggie door and out a section of downed fence to try to escape the thunder. She was sighted twice, once last Wed. during the storm and then last Fri. am. Nothing since then. We have done all of the things that people do when they have a lost furbaby, and still nothing. I have had so many prayer warrior friends praying for her safety. We are asking God to send angels to guard her from harm and hunger and cold and for whoever finds her, to be led to our signs that will bring her home. As others said, I am trying to keep this in perspective, but also believe that God cares about everything in our lives. She is only 8, and has many more joys to share with our family. I want to see her, in her funny little way, grabbing any shoe in sight and joyfully running out the doggie door again, and retrieving the paper from the porch again and shaking it to “kill” it before she brings it to me. Please pray for our little Mira, to come home quickly. Thank you! Thank you! Kathy
What a wonderful praise! I am rejoicing with you!
I attend one of your studies each Friday, here in South Dakota. AND I’m a dog lover too! My girls are Zipper (a boston terrier) and Presh (a peek-a-poo)
I sing praise to our Lord for Sunny’s return. He gives us these “treasures” to love. They are our cheering section when things are tough.
God bless you and keep you in the hollow of His hand.
betty
oh good…i’ve been wondering if you’d get Sunny back! I am so glad you did…yeah God, way to pull through on that one! Yeah for nice people too!
