Optional Link for Session Two

Hey Bible Study Ladies!

It’s Tuesday and I’m sure some of you are wondering where our Children of the Day Session Two video might be! For those of you that have wondered this, I’m just here to remind you that Beth will greet us every other Tuesday with her own greeting on the blog, but, if you are keeping up with the teaching sessions, then today would be the day (or whatever day you’re choosing to do Bible study), to download session two through LifeWay.

As a gentle reminder, the teaching sessions are completely optional and are not required to do the study with us here on the blog. Like every other summer, they come at a very small cost for each session, which is why we leave it up to you to do with you group or not. We do apologize if that was unclear. We try our best to serve you ladies and are so honored you’d join us for the summer!

I’m embedding the link to LifeWay here again today so that you won’t have to go on a treasure hunt for it should you want to access the teaching sessions! Just click here!Β This week you would be watching session two.

We love y’all and pray this study is already bearing much fruit.

Happy Tuesday!

I have a question….I downloaded the first session onto my ipad and went to watch it a couple of days later and it is gone. After you download it does it expire after a day? Thanks kindly, Ginny

      Lindsee says:

Hi Ginny, since the videos are downloaded through LifeWay, that would be a question for them. However, I assume you got a link to download it with in an email? If so, you might go back and see if the email explains how long you have the video for or if you can only view it once. I’m so sorry I’m not more help! I will see if I can find something out as well!

      • Sandy Bowers says:

Once you purchase the sessions, they are yours to keep. There is no time limit. After downloading, if you can’t seem to find it on your computer, you can go back to your account on Lifeway and download it again. (Or go to the e-mail confirmation they sent you and find the link there.) Good Luck!

      • Debbie says:

I loaded the session to my IPad also. You should be able to access it again under downloads in your LifeWay account.

Hi Patti, no email, everything COTD happens on the blog for our summer Bible study. We will post a video greeting every other Tuesday by Beth, and the teaching sessions are optional via LifeWay every week. I hope that helps!

      • Patti Cocchi says:

Thanks for the reply that is what I was saying i did not receive any thing this morning.(..I am buying sessions….) from beth

      • Patti Cocchi says:

It is the video greeting I did not receive…

        • Lindsee says:

The video greeting is from the first post for our summer Bible study, just a couple of posts below this one. The next greeting will be up next week!

We are totally amazed at how God is just reaching into our lives point by point with this Bible Study!! He is speaking to us and in our situations with such tenacity that it is blowing our minds!! So many coincidences… πŸ™‚ which there is no such thing!!! And it is just the end of week 1!!! πŸ™‚ Scary, but exciting!!! Where is He going to have us at the end of it??

We praise Jesus for our sister Beth and her sensitivity to Holy Spirit and her obedience to walk through the fire of His Word as He prepares her to deliver it to us!!! We are so blessed to have such a WE in our lives!!!

    Aleta says:

I don’t understand all of this I thought the teaching for the Bible study would b on the Blog. What is a mp4 anyway?

    • 9.1
      Lindsee says:

Hi Aleta, the teachings are completely optional and those can be found through the LifeWay link I posted above. Every other week, Beth will post a video checking in and more so facilitating the small group questions. Each of the Bible study posts explains all of this more clearly. If you look on the right hand side of the blog, there is a link that says “Siesta Summer Bible Study” and you can click on that and each of those posts will come up for you. I hope that is helpful!

    Loving the study.

    Genevieve Garrison says:

I love this study. Thank you so much for all that all of you do at Living Proof. Of course, I want to thank our Heavenly Father for everything. He is Amazing! By the way, I purchased all of the additional videos online at Lifeway. I love this option.

    Paula says:

Is there a specific page where we can share insights on the current week’s lesson to engage in these discussions with the online community? Perhaps this is it…. I want to say how thankful I am that God led me to this study. I’m only on Day 2 of Week One but can already sense a confirmation that this study is for me for this season in my life. Every Beth Moore study I have ever done has been undeniably used by God in this way. It’s really rather uncanny how God tailor makes the study for my needs at just the right time, and it’s cool because I know he is doing it for others as well! That’s Holy Spirit work, for sure! Thanks to Beth for her obedience in listening to the Holy Spirit and writing these anointed studies. God bless you!

I have a question about the Bible study. If we do not purchase a video to watch every week or every other week when Beth does the video ,is there any other link 4discussion about the Bible study?

    • 13.1
      Lindsee says:

Hi Cari, the videos we do every other week with Beth are the discussion videos. She takes you through the two weeks of homework you’ve just accomplished. However, instead of doing a video every week, we’re doing one every other week. Does that make sense? Those videos are free and will be posted on this blog. The teaching videos are through LifeWay!

    Stephanie says:

I stumbled upon this Summer study yesterday while I was looking for something else through the Living Proof website. I watched the intro Vimeo with Beth, and I have a couple of questions:
    1. I ordered the book offered on this website, is that the only physical material item I will need for this study, or is there a workbook as well?
    2. I am reading postings about “downloading” the first session, Where are the downloads found, and is there a fee for this?
I hope I am not too late into the Siesta to join! You caught me napping already!!! πŸ™‚

Hi, Lindsee,I’m so enjoying this study so far! The idea of receiving the word “in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit” especially challenged and encouraged me in this first week’s homework.

Maybe I’m the only one interested in this, but I’m wondering if we could use a common hashtag such as #COTD or #SSBS2014 as an additional means of Siesta interaction on Twitter, Instagram, etc., in between blog posts?

Excited to dive into week 2 today! πŸ™‚ Thanks for all the extra work you and Beth put into facilitating SSMT and SSBS. It is a gift to us. May the Lord bless you and the LPM team abundantly.

Shauna, Yuba City, CA. Group of 2, a co-worker and myself. My co-worker and myself were talking about the lack of opportunity for bible study groups for working women. In both of our churches study groups are held during the day. Beth Moore is one of my friend’s favorites, and suggested we do the study group together. So here were are! My Quirk – no matter how bad a book is, I always have to finish it, even if it’s just skimming through to the end. (Unless of course it goes again my personal morals.)

I’m needing to participate in this bible study because 2014 has been a rough year. In January ,I found out that my sister, 56, has pancreatic and liver cancer and on February 17th , my best friend died suddenly!!!! My step father, who physically and sexually abused my sisters and myself, died in May . Feelings that I had planted so deeply has started haunting me .

    Mary G says:

I would love to do this bible study with all of you, but decided instead to do a study by Nancy Guthrie at my church. I thought it would be a great way to meet some of the other ladies in church. I will be sure to do this one at a later date. Will the links to the teachings still be available at a later time? Also I had put a request here for prayer for surgery I had on June 2. Surgery went beautifully and I’ve had no bad side effects or complications. God is good!

I found out about this Bible study last week so I ordered the book and I just got it yesterday. I can’t wait to get started and see what the Lord as in store for me. I’ve only been doing Bible Studies for a little over two years and I have learned so much. My very first study was Beth Moore’s Revelations and I loved it. Every study since then has expanded my knowledge but also my desire to learn more. I’ve been feeling a little disillusioned lately and really need to hear from the Lord. I’m excited to see what he has to say.

    Debbie says:

I wanted to share a suggestion for Group Session 3. I printed a small face picture of myself and glued it on the stick figure on page 61 of the study. This can be done by individual participants or by group leaders for the group. Another way to see ourselves in God’s word.

    Dianne Holden says:

I lost my husband of 54 years in August after nursing him at home through Alzheimer’s and prostate cancer. Two weeks later I began “A Woman’s Heart” Bible Study at our church. When that was over, I started “Jesus the One and Only” as a solo study. Staying in the Word has helped me as I learn to live life without my best friend. I’m excited to be able to join this study during the summer months. PS Love the homework!

I am trying to find session 2. I understood there would be a video to go with each lesson. Is the only video available the one that you must purchase? I thought that was an extra video and there would always be an introduction one for each session?
    Thanks,
    Edie

    Hi Lindsee,
My friend and I are a week behind, we got started late but are absolutely loving the study. It is exactly what we both needed to hear from God.
When I first signed in there was a page where I could copy the fill ins to the video sessions, now I can’t find it. Can you help please?

    • 30.1
      Lindsee says:

Hi Sheba, at the beginning of each chapter, there is a page with blanks for each of the viewing sessions. Is that what you are referring to?
