You ready to get busy on some Scripture memory in 2013? I AM! I AM! I can hardly wait! Our instructional post for our Siesta Scripture Memory Team (SSMT) will be published in mid December but, in order for most of you to have your spiral in your hands by the time we launch on January 1st, we need to start taking orders right away. Mind you, the official Siesta spirals are completely optional. You can easily pick up a generic spiral at any office supply or virtually any drug store chain. But having the same one is a ton of fun for those of us who like this kind thing! We use them all year to record our 2 verses a month then we bring them with us to the celebration in Houston in mid-January 2014 (egad!) as our ticket into the (free) event. And yes, any well-used Scripture memory spiral will serve the same purpose.
Our SSMT spirals are $4 each, plus a fairly nominal shipping and handling fee. You’ll see that on the order form. We try to keep the price as low as we can and still cover costs. To order your SSMT spiral, visit the LPM website by clicking here. Please, please try to make your order before or by December 19th for delivery by January 1st. For those of you who don’t get word about the spirals in time for January 1st, no worries. You’ll still sign in on all the posts like everyone else and just fill in your verses the moment you get yours. Even if you don’t make your order until January, you’ll have it in your sweet hands before you’ve had time to get to your 3rd verse out of 24. No big deal!

Here are a few questions I’m anticipating:
*Can I still get one of those cute spirals if I don’t necessarily want to sign up for the accountability twice a month on the blog team? Yes, you certainly may. You are welcome to use it for anything you want but we so hope you’ll write some Scriptures in it! That’s what it’s begging for. Smile.
*May I order more than one spiral? Yes. A number of you have already told me in advance that you’ve got daughters or sisters who are joining you this year on our Scripture memory team. You are welcome to order yours together if you live in the same town.I also like to use them for Christmas stocking stuffers for my daughters and special loves but shhhhhhh. I don’t want them to know.
I am beside myself! It is everything I can do not to go ahead and start writing verses in mine. Now, to find the perfect pen! Just think what awaits us on this page right here…

I tried with both my iPad and my iPhone and couldn’t see beyond the Store page. So I couldn’t order the journal. I would like to join this challenge and I’m not sure how to do that. Help!

Hi Holly, because our website is flash driven, it doesn’t work on an iPad or iPhone, so, you’ll have to order your spiral when you are on a normal computer. I hope that helps!
I did mine with my ipad and it worked just fine….you have to scroll down the page to get to the ordering part.

Yay!!! I’m so excited! I’ll be placing my order today and will be anxiously awaiting January 1st. This was such a blessing in my life last time. God is faithful to bring those Scripture verses to my mind when I need them most. So blessed to have them tucked in my heart for keeps.

YAY! My aunt and sisters and I were just talking last week about how excited we are for next year and are already picking our verses for the beginning of the year! Thank you so much for doing the spirals again for 2013. I got one for each of us in 2010. We have cherished the Word that was written in them throughout 2011 and the continual reminder of God’s faithfulness during that year…especially through my aunt’s bout with cancer and subsequent surgery and treatment.

SO excited! I already have mine and I found some big spirals for my girls (5 & 8yr olds) that I will attempt to decorate similarly!!! This has TRULY made such a difference in my life! I love y’all for many reasons, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you for encouraging this in my life! SO Blessed!

Susan, they will not be sold at the bookstore. But we do have them here at LPM! Hope that helps.

Merry Christmas, LPM! This will be my 3rd Scripture Memory year, and I can hardly wait. I’m walking through some hard stuff with a close friend, and she is also thinking about participating – we’ll be accountability partners. Anyway, I was wondering if there was any other way to order a spiral than online? More specifically, do I have to pay with a credit card online, or may I write a check? It wouldn’t be a deal breaker or anything, I was just wondering. Let me just share as concisely as I know how, no single discipline has done more to prepare my heart and mind for the emotional healing God has wrought in my life in the last 3 years than the spiritual discipline of Scripture memory. I am healed, whole, and free today, and it all started when I took the Scripture memory challenge in 2009.

Yay, yay, YAY!! Just ordered mine! I love mine from last time around. I have so many verses that carried me through a difficult pregnancy – it’s wonderful to look back through it and know God was carrying me just as I needed.
Yes…excited! Beth, you got several of us started in memorization a year ago through your James study. We enjoyed it so much that after we finished James we decided to continue memorizing other portions of scripture together. And, I love the new spiral design! I will order 2-3 soon!
Love this! What a wonderful lift this gave me. Memorizing Scripture with SSMT for the last 3 seasons has helped me to do something I never thought I could do – place God’s Word in my mind and heart so it is always there when I need it. And, I have been so blessed by that.

Just ordered mine. I hope I can get it filled in with chapters and verses I have started but still do not have a total handle on.
As we age a big part of memorization is to retain what we have learned I am finding. I may know five or six verses in a chapter but as I learn more, I do not retain the earlier learned ones. Anyone else relate to this????

On the topic of scripture memorization, my husband has offered to pay our daughter $10 for every verse of James she memorizes. She made her first $100 this morning. I want in on that deal! I love that he’s doing it. She’s motivated and being filled with the word. She said she fell asleep last night “listening to some man read James” on her Bible app 🙂
The scripture booklet is beautiful and looks like fun, fun, fun….I’m excited ! 🙂

YES!!! I’ve been waiting for this ALL year. I can’t WAIT to get started on 2013 memorizing. My kids and I did our own version throughout 2012. We so wanted dad to join us and last month we got our own little miracle!!! Dad joined our memory team. We’re going to have our own super-celebration in January. Memorizing with my family is worth more than I can even express.
