2011 Siesta Scripture Memory Team: Verse 18!

[tminus t=”20-01-2012 19:00:00″ style=”carbonite”/] **Siesta Celebration is January 20-21, 2012**

Hey, Scripture Memory Mad-Women!
Look how many verses we have behind us!! Sister friend, if you’ve made it this far, YOU’VE GOT THIS THING IN THE BAG! (Or, in your darling little spiral, to be exact.) We are only two Scriptures away from you having the required amount posted for attending the SSMT celebration. By all means, make your goal all 24 but it’s a great feeling to know that you have ALL.IT.TAKES.TO.CE.LE.BRATE. I do dearly love a party. It won’t be the same if you don’t come so please (if it sounds fun to you) try your hardest. Think about asking for help toward expenses as a Christmas gift from some of your lavishly loving peeps.

Registration will be open until 2 weeks before the event so don’t stress about us running out of room. We only opened it this early so we could choose which space will fit us best at Houston’s First Baptist Church and so we can best prepare to serve you. Since we’re at about 850 registrations, we’ve outgrown the Fellowship Hall where we were last year and will meet in the sanctuary. We’ll make sure that we have the closest possible seating arrangements so no one feels isolated from the group. (There’s no reserved seating for it, of course, but we’ll do everything we can to make it as intimate as possible.) We are looking so forward to seeing your beautiful faces. It will be here before we know it!  Click here to register: SSMT Registration

OK, here’s my Scripture for this round:

Beth, Houston. For what credit is it if you sin and are mistreated and endure it? But if you do good and suffer and so endure, this finds favor with God. 1 Peter 2:20 The NET Bible

Let’s hear yours!

I’m mad about you.

  19. 1619

Ok. So I heard Beth for the first time at Charlotte, HOLDFAST, God has set His love upon ME (had to change the last word to me instead of you). Then wore her t-shirt to work and my husband asked me what the verse was, so of course I had to go home and write it on a file card so I could memorize it. Then a month later I decided to check out her website and bought a book, Believing God, because I had picked up a small booklet on it at the conference. I was a pastor with my husband in The Salvation Army and was too insecure to actually get up and give a sermon. But God spoke to me during the Charlotte conference and I came home and told my husband I wanted to speak. We left the Army 18 years ago, because we felt God calling us to do something else….Turner MASTERCRAFT became the name of the art show business. Anyway, we do a Bible study on the Sunday mornings before the show to anyone who wants to listen and God spoke to me about sharing “HOLDFAST”. Then I bought So Long Insecurity…awesome. Anyway, I told my 2 girlfriends (L.A. And Honolulu) and my 2 daughters (Puyallup, Wa and Goldsboro, NC that I would buy 5 each of Believing God and So Long Insecurity, because we would do an email Bible study this fall. Then I discovered the siesta scripture team and I had already memorized Hebrews 4:12′ so I was already on board without knowing it. Thank you, Beth, for changing my life and letting me know I can do all things through Christ.. Woohoo! Just one more comment, my youngest daughter had attended her first conference in Seattle, Stop, yield, go and sent me 5 Ty en pages of notes and told me to grab her sister and go to Charlotte in July. I had already applied for a show that I always get in to, but surprise, surprise, we were rejected. My daughter registered us and off we went to have a life changing experience in Charlotte. My kids are important to me, because I was placed in an orphanage at 9 which can do a number on security issues. Ate myself to 225 lbs at 5’3. But god did start speaking to me and hallelujah, god spoke to me and at my 35th class reunion from seminary, walked in at 122! Ok, so I had changed…but still insecure!! The last two months have been the difference between night and day in my life. So, I bought my own flip card file booklet at the local drug store and I am so excited about memorizing scripture, I can hardly stand it.

Ok, sorry this is so long, but I am truly excited to be a woman of God. Phone is straight from God…800-7MASTER.
