Hey, Sweet Things! I’m a mighty long way from home in Fresno, California and looking so forward to getting into the Scriptures and into some passionate praise and worship with these West-side women. I love knowing that Priscilla is in Florida this weekend serving at her first simulcast and we are on the opposite side of the continent with our Living Proof Live. You wouldn’t waste a prayer on either one of us.
This will be a record setting post – my shortest ever! Wish so much I could tarry here and visit with you but, Sister Girl, my hands are FULL. Oh, how I pray you are sticking with your Scripture memory. Don’t give up! God will bring a harvest if we persevere and see it all the way through. I love my selection this go round. If you don’t know what you want to memorize for Verse 7, you are welcome to share mine. Here goes!

19 I remember my affliction and my wandering,
the bitterness and the gall.
20 I well remember them,
and my soul is downcast within me.
21 Yet this I call to mind
and therefore I have hope:
22 Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”

Beth Moore, I just wanted to share that you have inspired me in so many, many ways! Firstly, God has been dealing with me about memorizing scripture, and your blog post was one of the many tools he used for me to start writing scriptures down on paper and carry with me in my purse. In fact, my first scripture is 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a righteous generation, God’s special posession; that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness and into the wonderful light.”(NIV) and I have already memorized it, and am working on hiding it is my heart through meditation.
Secondly, I purchased your devotional CD today and it really has blesses my socks off! I also purchased one for a friend, and though I listened to my CD while driving in the car, I want to incorporate it into my devotion time while my two kids (1 and 4) are napping. I would LOVE it if you did more CDs like this.
So, I say all of this to say thank you!!!

Luke 6:37-38 The Message
Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults. Unless, of course, you want the same treatment.
Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life alot easier. Give away your life, you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back – given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.
