Hey, Sweet Things! I’m a mighty long way from home in Fresno, California and looking so forward to getting into the Scriptures and into some passionate praise and worship with these West-side women. I love knowing that Priscilla is in Florida this weekend serving at her first simulcast and we are on the opposite side of the continent with our Living Proof Live. You wouldn’t waste a prayer on either one of us.
This will be a record setting post – my shortest ever! Wish so much I could tarry here and visit with you but, Sister Girl, my hands are FULL. Oh, how I pray you are sticking with your Scripture memory. Don’t give up! God will bring a harvest if we persevere and see it all the way through. I love my selection this go round. If you don’t know what you want to memorize for Verse 7, you are welcome to share mine. Here goes!
Beth, Houston. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV
I love you like crazy. Stay in the Word!
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13, NASB
This is my verse #1 – same version. 🙂 I’m loving how the joy and peace is soaking deep into my heart, and this verse of hope rolls off my tongue. I’m hoping it does for you too! One particular word caught my attention: Main Entry: abound
Part of Speech: verb….Definition: exist in abundance
Synonyms: be alive with, be all over the place, be knee deep in, be no end to, be plentiful, be thick with, be up to one’s ears in, crawl with, crowd, flourish, flow, have a full plate, infest, overflow, proliferate, swarm, swell, teem, thrive

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
Romans 13:14 NIV
Gay Beck, Plain City, OH.
Just this week, I was studying verses on the subject of the “Armor of God.” I read scriptures that illustrated putting on the full armor of God and clothing yourself with Jesus Christ. Romans 13:14 was one of the Bible passages that emphasized dressing in God’s Word.
I looked up several translations for Romans 13:14 for comparison phrases. The Message has a great version.
Romans 13:14 (The Message) Get out of bed and get dressed! Don’t loiter and linger, waiting until the very last minute. Dress yourselves in Christ and be up and about!
Ephesians 6:11-18 and Galatians 3:26-27 and Colossians 3:1-4 were verses that, also, illustrated being clothed in Christ.

Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
