Hey Ladies! This is Curtis writing to you from my desk here at Living Proof. It’s cold (relatively speaking) here in Houston today so I have a stocking cap on and a personal space heater right next to me. Life is good!
I asked Beth if I could do a quick post to remind you about Passion 2011 in Atlanta, January 1-4. Beth is speaking in a main session and I am leading a community group again this year. We look forward to Passion every year and are so grateful to God to play our respective roles.
Passion is a movement led by Louie and Shelley Giglio inspiring the collegiate generation to live for the glory of God and the good of the world. I was 17 years old when I first heard of Passion. A college student from my church went to Passion ’99 and offered me two cassette tapes from the conference. One was a message by Beth and the other was a message by Louie about David bringing the glory of God and the ark of the covenant back to Jerusalem. I would sit in the parking lot after school and listen to those messages over and over again. At the time I was trying to discern if God was setting me apart for ministry. I remember thinking to myself that if I was called by God, I wanted the heart like the one I heard coming through those tapes. Twelve years later I still want a heart like theirs.
That’s why if you have influence over an 18-25-year-old you should encourage them to come to Passion 2011. Not just because of the amazing team of leaders (Louie Giglio, Beth Moore, John Piper, Francis Chan, Andy Stanley, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Christy Nockels, Matt Redman, Charlie Hall, and others), but because you want your 18-25-year-old to join in with thousands in their generation living for the glory of God and the fame of Jesus around the world.
Below is a link to the Passion 2011 website where you can find out all the details as well as a 2 minute video glimpse at what a Passion conference is all about.
Merry Christmas!
Curtis
I have never been to Passion, but I watch as much as it online as I can! My oldest is 12, and Im in prayer for Passion 2017, LOL. I loved reading my college buddies reports of Passion 2010 on FB. May God be glorified again!!
Thanks Curtis!
you can watch online??? how much $ do youhave to pay for access??? i am trying to send my little sister but not sure we can afford it or if she can get the time off from work… if we could access some of the stuff online that would be great! lmk- thanks!
I wish my husband and I could go! We went to OneDay 03. It was incredible! We will dream about going to the one in Ft. Worth…
Amen brother, I was at parts of Passion 97-98 and all of 99 as a college minister…what a valuable time spent. Go and help others go!
I cannot wait for Passion 2011!! I went for the first time last year and am so excited for the work that God will continue to do through the group that goes this year! As a 21 year old College student the ministry of Passion is incredible and I have grown so much since Passion 2010. As always I am excited for Beth’s session!!!
Also if anyone knows college students, encourage them to go Passion it’s incredible!
I was 21 when I gave my life to the Lord. I think this is a critical age to reach people. Blessings over Passion 2011.
I’m just a little confused, and I already gave the Passion postcard that I had to my daughter.
The college students from here went to Passion this past January in Atlanta, but next year they are going in April to Dallas. Are you all going to be there, too?
I am going to this year’s Passion as a volunteer and am so excited! Hope I get a moment from my resource post to hear you and Beth!!!
Midge
Gee…makes me wish I was 18-25 again rather than, uh, um, well 28 – 50. Got a Passion conference for older young people????
Leah
LOL…that was funny. :)We’re only as old as we feel..right??
Go Volunteer it is a huge blessing as well and a great way yo serve others!!!
My daughter is signed up to come with our church this year. I am so excited for her! And jealous!
my daughter is, too, and I’m right with you in the excited for her but a little jealous department. 🙂
I’m so excited to see a post about Passion! I’m 24 now, and I remember when I first heard a CD from Passion and saw video from it…unbelievable! I won’t be able to be there this year, but I’ll be praying that it rocks this generation for Jesus!
I have a 19 year old daughter who is having issues with what direction she wants to take in life. This would’ve been perfect for her. I wish I had known sooner.
Go to the website and purchase the digital downloads! She’ll be able to hear all the speakers and the music. 🙂
I went to the VERY first Passion Conference and it changed my life! I am so thrilled to hear the movement continues. I am going to share this with all of my college age family members.
How fun a post from you Curtis! What a great personality you have, I so want to be in that age group again and go myself…alas. This is the first I’ve ever heard about Passion and although we live in College Station I’m going to look into possibly the Ft Worth one ? for my 17 year old son, and at least check out the website and share it with him. Brent has been asking me to share with him Beth’s lessons I’ve been doing. We’re familiar with so many of the names you listed who will be there. I tell Brent all the time he has a purpose as God’s warrior in his generation, this sure sounds like a positive event. I would have loved for him to attend the one in Atlanta. I’ll be praying for all of you. Thank you Beth for giving us a glimpse of Curtis’ heart for God. I was blessed. Thank you Curtis for bringing it to our attention.
Are there scholarships for students that cannot afford the registration price?
Wow!
Wish I had heard about Passion when I was that age. Maybe I could use a wig and get my self a ticket in!!
Curtis, I wanted to take just a minute to be able to say Thank you for coming to Ridgecrest to speak to us! The Holy Spirit spoke to me so clearly through your message. I had been praying for a long time for God to show me how I could speak insight and a little wisdom into a matter that has plagued our little church for a while now. Your testimony was exactly what I needed to hear, so I could go back and share it with our leadership team! Light bulbs came on as soon as I shared your story. So, thank you for your commitment hearing God’s voice, and following. Your faithfulness to just follow what God has for you has already impacted a little church here in Virginia!
Merry Christmas to the Moores, Jones’ and Fitzpatricks!!
May His Blessings and Favor pour out abundantly, the floodgates of Heaven be opened and pour out more than you can contain!

I found out about Passion last year and was so excited to find out I could come to the one in 2011! My oldest daughter and I are coming with a group of kids from our church! I cannot wait!
I have attended the last 4 conferences, and they have blessed and inspired me every time. I wish I was going to be able to make it this year, but instead I will be praying for you guys.
I will never forget Louie opening “the window” so we could listen in on the party in heaven with songs from every nation, tribe, and tongue. That was a powerful momement for me, and it opened my eyes so that I could see just how big His Kingdom is. I could get out of my chair at work right now and just start singing!
YES! I am a college freshman, and this will be my first year to go — I have been counting down for months now! CANT WAIT. =]
I remember having professors at my university in California who were agnostic or atheist, back in the late 80s / early 90s. I had to do so many mental battles to make it through some of my classes, especially when “truth” came up in a law class or philosophy, etc. Having a solid church and Christian friends was the only way to erase the secular pounding! I am so excited this generation has this conference, God bless you all for obeying the call to minister! I will be in prayer for Passion 2011.
Hey Curtis!
Sounds so cool! I’m 14 years old and have gone 2 living proof live twice. I’ve done 2 of Beth Moore’s Bible studies and keep asking God for a heart like hers! I love your music and pray that the Passion and other events can change hearts and bring them closer to God.
Grace and peace,
AmyLynn

He's got unconceivable plans for you. Don't compromise, sweetie. Jesus is life! so much love to you, amy
Curtis – thanks for this post about a wonderful event. My husband and I are HUGE Louie Giglio fans and I have watched “indescribable” and “how great is our God” a jillion times. It is amazing! My daughter, Melissa, went to Passion 2010 in Atlanta last year and said it was awesome.
I am going tomorrow night to Jackson, TN to see Louie and Chris Tomlin on the “glory in the highest” tour.
Passion 2011 will definitely be worth the money for any college student. It is life-changing.
Umm. I definitely meant Jackson, Ms… must have had a brain lapse! Sorry!
My daughter is a sophomore in college and is THRILLED to peices about going to this. It’s her Christmas present from her grandmother. SO glad y’all are doing this. 🙂
I went to Passion 2000 in TN. That was such an AMAZING time of spiritual growth in my life! It was the first time I had ever heard Auntie Beth, John Piper and Louie Giglio speak. I thank God for how he used that conference in my life and in the lives of so many others!
I am praying for Passion 2011!!!
I’ll be there! I’m so excited to hear such great teaching from so many wonderful people! My friend and I are coming down from Columbus, Ohio–it’s our Girls’ New Year Out. 😀 I can’t wait!!!!
I am SOOO excited! My son is going! He is a high school senior (but already 18) His youth group leader invited him!
Ever since I’ve heard about Passion my prayer has been that one day my kids would go… I have tears in my eyes as I type this… you have absolutely NO idea how excited I am that he is going! Just so God! : ) Yea God… thank you!
Please know I will be on my knees for you all in January!!!! Yes I will indeed!!!!
Awesome video! I want to be 18-25 again!!!
I can act 18-25! Does that count? So thrilled to have something like this for this age group – think of the impact?
Curtis – thanks for sharing. I pray it will be a wonderfully impactful conference. The Passion CD’s (music) have blessed me and I always love hearing how a teaching tape/CD/ etc. has impacted someone’s life. I hope God will use the January conference to His great glory. Blessings ~
THANK YOU for posting this! My husband is the Baptist Campus Minister at a University in Pennsylvania and this will be our second year to take a group of students on that LONG van ride down to Atlanta from Central PA for the Passion conference. It is a tremendous opportunity for students. Many thanks to both Curtis and Beth for your involvement!!
Today’s blog has been the coolest one ever.
It’s been kinda rough this week.
But I got on here this am and MUSIC I listened to it,
and thought, hmmm, volunteer? that’d be Cool to do,
cause then I’d get to come too!
Then this evening, I got back on and again MUSIC for me to listen to again. Thanks so much for this about Passion.
wow. i’d never heard of it before. thank you so much.
And would you please join me in prayer this evening for one of the most courageous young men I know, his name is Nathan and he was in a crash this week on his bicycle and is due to be in surgery this evening. thank you. pat.
My now 23 yr old daughter, Alyssa, attended Passion 2005 with her youth group…it was there, at that conference that she completely gave her life over to Jesus and made Him Lord of her life. We are so grateful for this ministry…it changed the course of our daughter’s life, for she is now serving Him!
I so LOVE what God does through Passion! This conference has impacted my life since I was a college student. This year, I have the privilege of volunteering! Excited for what the Lord will do, and for the opportunity to serve. See y’all there!!
WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m coming with another Siesta, Janice! Too, my work…gmc…is going to possibly be shooting our countdown show from there too. Spread the love and what Passion is all about. I am not looking forward to growing older, because then I can’t go anymore after 25. Ha! Love y’all!!!!
We have lived a very broken road for the last few years. My son always loved church, God, and lived for his church teen activities but we all lost a lot over the last few years, I let him down, he has lost his way. I feel so led that he needs to go to this but I just do not have the finances. My husband and I are digging our way out of a dark hole. My heart is heavy. I feel so led that he needs to go to this but I need intervention. I need Jesus to intercede and push my son through the door. Please pray for this intervention. He is a wonderful kid just feels so alone right now and he is so loved by his parents, his friends and God. Thanks
Passion is an amazing experience that makes you more hungry for the word and to grow deeper in your walk with Jesus!! I was able to attend in 2007 when I was 25 yrs old and think that all college students should go so I will start praying for all of you who are involved with that age group now!! May we all desire to grow closer to Jesus.
God Bless,

Oh, my goodness! I have some influence in an 18-year-old girl’s life that I would love to send there, if you would only come to North Idaho!
Hey Curtis! Do you know of any opportunlties for scholarships? If so, please let me know [email protected].
I have a question– would I be able to take my daughter and I to passion 2011 in fort worth? She’s 15 but spiritually mature for her age. Is it strictly 18-25 year olds only? Can anyone answer this or know where I can get info about this?? Thank you! God bless!!
Passion’s ministry site is: http://www.268generation.com They will probably have the answer there. Blessings!
