Heading Out to Richmond! 20 Comp Tickets!

Hey, you darling things! I am writing you (for the zillionth time) from IAH, about to jump on a flight to Richmond for our Living Proof Live this weekend! I’m going in a day early again because the flight tomorrow was too late to trust. I wish so much I didn’t have to hop on here this fast after AJ’s tremendous post yesterday but we better not wait any longer to post Siesta Scholarship giveaway tickets to this weekend’s event. Please go back and read it if you haven’t had the chance. I cannot express to you how proud I am of her and how much I support her decision to pull back for a little while. It really isn’t true that we can have it all – unless our all is Jesus. We are so overwhelmed, aren’t we, sisters? Sometimes we just have to sit back and regroup. It’s a wonderful thing to find a little extra sanity and peace in the middle of the dizzy spin of Planet Earth. God may supply it to us in all sorts of surprising and creative ways but He hears our cries and desires to lighten our heavy load.

Are any of you Siestas heading to Richmond? I am so excited to see what God wants to accomplish. Pray for me as I pray for you! May He Himself sanctify us through and through and be so pleased with our praise and our pursuit! We have 20 available tickets for anybody who wants to go but can’t afford the expense. Call Living Proof Ministries at 1-888-700-1999 and talk to either Kimberly or Susan and they will fix you up.

I really do love you dearly. I’ll catch up with you very soon! No time to edit or proofread so forgive me if this is a mess!

    Beth,
I was planning to be in Richmond this weekend, that was the first place I saw you “live,” but my dear aunt passed away and I’ll be traveling to NY instead. I am so sad to miss you and Travis and to say good-bye to Aunt Mary.

    Marlyce Walker says:

I have been working so much overtime that it has competed with my favorite day to go to church (Wed). When I did go, I happened to stumble upon about 30 “Life University” classes the church was offering and the “Breaking Free” class stood out for me. After service, the congregation separated into their individual classes. I had a couple of minutes to decided if I should join and commit to weekly classes. I crashed the class, not having properly signed up the week before, and didn’t even have a book. The teacher gave me hers. That evening I had the usual trauma/drama that I have been livng with for years. But just as weeping lasts for a night and joy comes in the morning, in the morning I could finally see that my prayer that I had been praying for 30 years suddenly was in the process of being answered. If the first day of class can do this, I can’t wait until I complete the course! WOW! I have been thanking and leaping and praising God all day. This is just the beginning. I am so astonished that this is just the beginning.

Beth My sister Judy form NC and several siestas we met at Deeper Still Greensboro will be there in Richmond. They are very excited to be meeting up again and seeing you live. I so wish I were going to be there with them but California is a bit far away. I was privileged and blessed to see and meet you again when you were in Irvine in July this year. May God richly bless you and all who attend LPL Richmond. Holding all of you up in prayer all weekend.

    Hi, Siestas!
In His typical WOW style, the Lord has arranged for me and one of my dearest prayer warriors to tack Richmond on the front end of our respective beach vacations! Trust me – this is miraculous. We are headed to the same hotel later today- her with her husband and 3 boys and me with my husband and 2 sons, 1 daughter. Our blessed husbands will be entertaining 6 children 8 and younger in a hotel (my princess is 21 months) while we see BETH! May the Lord bless all the folks taking care of the miriad responsibilities attendees are putting down for a spell to hear from Him through His WORD! I can already feel the Spirit moving as all the Siestas pray and I know Beth and the whole LPM team are on their knees before the Lord for Richmond. It’s like He is strolling along and touching every bowed head with power and love and mercy. He is sooooooo good. πŸ™‚

    Sarah Deible says:

Beth, I was blessed to be in Louisville for LPL, and would like to thank you for your prayer over the Lord’s call for me to begin a speaking ministry, that was a very powerful experience for me. Our Faithful Father was so evident in Rupp Arena, I pray that His power will be just as magnified for you all in Richmond. Thank you for what you do, I am finishing A Heart Like His this weekend (that was purchased when you were in Springfield, Il last November!), what a blessing it has been to read. May God bless your traveling and the women in Richmond! By the way, thanks for the exciting news about your sister’s salvation, my brother was also homeless, an alcoholic/narcotic addict for several years in LA, he now is married, has 2 children, a wife, and a life he can be so proud of. Please thank your sister for allowing her story to be shared, it still is resonating in me. Praise the King! Sarah

I have some siestas staying at my house and 3 out 4 of my boys are going camping to give us the space. I joked with a friend that there is finally going to be some estrogen in this house and not full of testosterone for once. LOL. Oh, I love my boys but I am outnumbered.

Hope others see this: Siesta Meeting for Lunch!!
Come to Bottoms Up Pizza at 12:30pm today to others.

This is a great local place that went under water with Hurricane Gaston and luckily for us they rebuilt.

I’m not heading to VA but wish I was! You were in my dream last night so I wanted to share. πŸ™‚ You were in a hotel hallway just kind of standing there and people were passing you and didn’t recognize you. So when I passed by I had my bible and notebook in my arms and I knew you. So I was overjoyed at a chance to meet you face to face! I told you that I was so glad you obeyed God when He wanted you to start your ministry and make these bible studies. And that they have blessed my life soooo much. Then I hugged you and went along my way. But it was very cool dream. Someday, I’ll get to hug you in person. πŸ™‚

Just in case you’re doing birthday shout-outs, a precious sister and lover of God, Kristin Shores, is celebrating her 24th birthday with us tonight! She is one of the most kind and tender-hearted people I know. She works for child protective services and spends her life rescuing kids from very rough environments and finding loving homes for them. At a time in life when they could choose to be selfish, she and her dear husband are going to begin fostering children as well. Their hearts for Jesus are amazing.

    Donna Benjamin says:

Oh Beth, I pray your weekend in Richmond is your best yet to His glory, and that souls are touched in ways like never before!

We really CANNOT have it all unless our ALL is Jesus!!! So very very true. I find that no matter how hard I try and fill the my life with “stuff” nothing satisfies my soul like serving Him. All the events, shopping, even Starbucks, can take the place of my Lord and Saviour! Being in the center of His will, is when I am the absolute happiest! Thank you for the wonderful unedited yet beautiful post!
    Blessings!

Beth, I’ve been wanting so much to attend a LPL event and looked ahead to 2011’s schedule… there’s an event in Baltimore in Sept/Oct!! That’s only 3 hours away!! But 13-14 months away.

I am trying to get a group of ladies together for the LPL simulcast event for which we’d have to drive an hour and a half. (That’s easy enough!) Well, I learned that a friend of mine is traveling to Richmond this weekend!!! I was sick for a moment with envy. But my time will come. My friend’s nervous that she’ll be seated up close to the stage area and she’ll die from embarrassment if you happen to come down and speak to her in any way. Oh my word!! I told her I take my own lawnchair and purposefully sit up close just hoping that would happen!!

Seriously, I’m praying my friend will be tremendously blessed. She deserves a break from everyday stuff. And yes, I’ll be sitting up close at the simulcast!!

    Dear Beth,

After my husband and I spent 5 months in Korea, a friend gave me a copy of your book, VOICES OF THE FAITHFUL. My daughter just left for a year of mission work in Mexico on the 25th. When I read that day’s reading, “What saying yes means” my heart was deeply touched by God’s timing. This was Rachel’s 10th time to go to Mexico, but this one was more tender for me because I had lost my brother to leukemia in the spring. Thank you for your part in bringing comfort to my heart. God’s compensating mercies are tender and glorious!

    Cheryl says:

Tonight was so rich in Richmond..I loved that you provided a mental piece for I am a person who first believed because of what I read and God revealed ..not just on what I felt. And tonight your team stimulated my heart in worship and my mind in the word. Will get a new bible soon – Thank you – see you in the am.

BTW – To be honest I can’t believe I have to get up at dawn. I am not an early am person . In fact I would not have volunteered for tomb duty – the Gospels would have been much different if it was me vs Mary in it πŸ™‚ .

  42. 92
    Jennifer says:

Beth – thank you for allowing God to speak through you tonight in Richmond. I love and admire how you always remind us that it is Him and not you. You use his gifts well sister and I am grateful to be a recipient! I can’t wait till tomorrow. God Bless!

  43. 93
    Sommer says:

THANK YOU BETH AND TEAM FOR A WONDERFUL WEEKEND IN RICHMOND! I was wondering if you could post the affirmations that we did at the end with looking at another sister? That would be so nice to have to read over from time to time, or even every day! Thank you again for allowing God to use you in a BIG way!

  44. 94
    Amy Knowles says:

Thank you Beth for such a wonderful experience in Richmond! I am so pumped! Travis and team are the best! And just to let you know, what you had to say this weekend did work for me – God has been saying “It’s right here, I’ve given you my word RIGHT HERE, now stop looking everywhere else and listen – I’M RIGHT HERE”!! Thanks again

Hi Beth! What a blessing you were to Richmond!! We loved the event… and we learned how “harried” you were getting here… Gotta love those airplane seats!!

I really want to express to you how awesome the conference was. You, as always, did an excellent job teaching us the 8 miracles/8 Names of Jesus/8 Gotta Go Backs… all so we can remember to live in the happy key of “C”!

Praise the Lord for your contribution to His Kingdom!! Love having Bible Study with you this summer so we can get ready for the fall – we’ll be doing the new Tabernacle in the fall and then Revelation in the spring! Praise our Lord!!

    You all were awesome!

    Love,

    Robin Bruce

    Melissa says:

Just arrived home from Richmond. Nothing short of amazing.

I was hoping for Jesus to speak to me and he sure did.
The last time I heard you, Beth, was this spring at a simulcast. My dear 6 year old was hospitalized that weekend…she had been struggling for THREE years with something the doctors couldn’t diagnose. Well that weekend they finally figured it out. Praise the Lord that he showed the doctor her seizures and she has been medicated since then and is SEIZURE FREE!
I attended this weekend with my dear mother and her best friend and daughter. We had a blast…always do. I can’t wait until my daughters are old enough to come too! Wonderful memories.
The Lord has been laying heavily on my heart that I should quit my job (which I do mostly from home…and pays well)…so that I can focus on my three little ones. (I couldn’t even take off my Mom cap this weekend…had to be texting my dear husband several times to make sure he had each kid to each activity they had to be at.) This weekend taught me that I do need a new beginning…and I need to come back to middle C.
Thank you Beth for allowing the Lord to speak through you. I needed it!

P.s. I hope your plane ride home wasn’t hairy! πŸ™‚

Thank you Beth and the praise and worship team for a wonderful spirit filled weekend. What a wonderful refreshing message Beth. I truly appreciate how you keep everything so real. You are just 1 of us that loves to share God’s word (kudos to the hubby… the house was very clean when I got home). Thanks again for spiritually feeding my soul and being able to have some fun too.

    Jean says:

Beth, I just got back from meeting with God at your Living proof Live event in Richmond, VA and I am overwhelmed with the Truth you spoke over us and with the way Jesus showed up for so many thousands of women. I heard one sweet lady say as we were leaving….”it’s over so soon” and my first thought was “no, it’s just beginning as we “recapture the wonder of Jesus” and go back to our future. I have a request for a piece of additional encouragement/support from this weekend. Do you think Kelly Minter would allow you to post the picture of her niece on your blog so I could put it with my Bible and my notes as I seek to recapture the wonder of Jesus in my heart. I’d love to be reminded of what that joy and amazement looks like!

Beth, thank you sincerely for a wonderful time with the Lord this past weekend. You are so loved by all of us and we are so much the richer for your following your Lord in obedience. God bless you!

I am so thankful for your teaching this weekend! I needed a “Back to Genesis” kind of conference:) You truly have a gift of bringing the Word of God to life and it can only come from Him. I will be praying for your safe travels back to Houston!

P.S. My sister and I loved loved loved your shirt from Friday night! Did you by chance get it recently and from where?!
