Hey, you darling things! I am writing you (for the zillionth time) from IAH, about to jump on a flight to Richmond for our Living Proof Live this weekend! I’m going in a day early again because the flight tomorrow was too late to trust. I wish so much I didn’t have to hop on here this fast after AJ’s tremendous post yesterday but we better not wait any longer to post Siesta Scholarship giveaway tickets to this weekend’s event. Please go back and read it if you haven’t had the chance. I cannot express to you how proud I am of her and how much I support her decision to pull back for a little while. It really isn’t true that we can have it all – unless our all is Jesus. We are so overwhelmed, aren’t we, sisters? Sometimes we just have to sit back and regroup. It’s a wonderful thing to find a little extra sanity and peace in the middle of the dizzy spin of Planet Earth. God may supply it to us in all sorts of surprising and creative ways but He hears our cries and desires to lighten our heavy load.
Are any of you Siestas heading to Richmond? I am so excited to see what God wants to accomplish. Pray for me as I pray for you! May He Himself sanctify us through and through and be so pleased with our praise and our pursuit! We have 20 available tickets for anybody who wants to go but can’t afford the expense. Call Living Proof Ministries at 1-888-700-1999 and talk to either Kimberly or Susan and they will fix you up.
I really do love you dearly. I’ll catch up with you very soon! No time to edit or proofread so forgive me if this is a mess!
Praying you have an amazing weekend.
We are so ready for you here in Richmond, Siesta Mama! You let me know if you’d like to come over for dinner tonight – I’d love to host you while you’re a stranger in this city. π Richmond is wonderful and I hope you are able to get out of your hotel a bit and enjoy it. We are so thrilled and excited for what God is going to do in all of us this weekend. Praying for safe travels and God’s Spirit to be giving you His words.
Much love,
Nikki
P.S. Siesta meet-up, anyone?
I’ll be there too!
my email is [email protected] if you set up a siesta meet-up would love to be a part!
Praying for you, Beth. And yes, may God Himself sanctify us through and through that our whole spirits, souls and bodies be kept blameless on the day of Christ. I’m praying this for you, for my firstborn that I just dropped off this morning for her junior year in college and my middle child (AB) that I’ll drop off day after tomorrow for her sophomore year of college. Thank the Lord we get to keep martian boy for two more years π (per yesterday’s comment).
As for slowing up a bit, I read something recently in Dallas Willard’s “Divine Conspiracy”. He said that to increase your love for God “…you must get close, and you must linger.” Here’s praying we get to linger–preferably with a good latte in one hand!
That’s speaks to me, sister. I told the Lord this summer I wanted to linger over my study…be a good student. But I also told Him I want a greater, deeper love for Him. I love how this quote shows the two intertwined. Thanks!
PTL Kimberly. That statement really seemed to grab my attention too. Sometimes I feel Willard is over my head. But then I remember Beth saying, “Well, then lift up your heads, girls!” Amen to that.
I am praying for you Beth. I remember coming to the LP Live event in Memphis. Did you have a close call getting a plane out of Houston because of weather? You know we would have waited for you to get there. LOL.
Love you, my sister. May you be filled with the fullness of God as you speak with the ladies in Richmond.
I’ll be there. I can’t wait! I need a weekend of refreshing.
Hiya Siestas in Richmond and Beyond – hope the weekend is fantastical! I’ll be thinking and praying that you each “gather as much as you need” (Ex 16:16; 17) from the Lord this weekend.
Blessings ~
Praying for everyone involved! Have an awesome weekend with God, Richmond Siestas! The weather is absolutely gorgeous in Michigan today! Love you all! Joan
I am so excited to see you tomorrow! I’ll be there with my mom and two sisters and we can’t wait!
Virginia has missed you!
Praying for you as you get ready for tomorrow night! I’m expectant to see God move mightily!
I have never written on here, but I am an avid and consistent fan of both this blog and of Beth Moore. i relate with Beth on SO many levels and she truly has inspired my life! I was deep in a pit about 4 years ago and through God’s loving faithfulness and my dear family, I am grounded and free in the Lord. My mom is the women’s ministry co-ordinator at my family’s church in NC and we have done nearly every single Beth Moore study as a group. I am now living in Fredericksburg, north of Richmond. I never thought I would have the oppurtunity to see my hero, Beth Moore, in real live person, but is this an oppurtunity that really could become a reality? Are there still any tickets available?
we have 20 available tickets for anybody who wants to go but canβt afford the expense. Call Living Proof Ministries at 1-888-700-1999 and talk to either Kimberly or Susan and they will fix you up.
I have no idea if you can get them at the door, Rebecca, though I would think so. I saw some on the Richmond Craig’s List earlier this week from someone who is unable to attend now so you could try there. π
You say in this post we really can’t have it all unless our all is Jesus! I watched you last week on LIFE TODAY when you talked about healing. I realized there was an area in my life that had not healed and the main reason was because I was NOT focused on letting Jesus be my EVERYTHING! You suggested that every verse we read, every devotion, etc. to let that speak to us in the area of healing we needed and I can tell you that it is amazing how every verse, every devotion, every clip on the radio or TV, every song I listen to… I can relate back to JESUS IS MORE THAN I NEED! Thank you once again, Beth, for communicating truth in a way we can put into practice. You are precious in His sight and in mine!
I’m going!!! I can’t wait…been praying for it for awhile. On a trivial side note, it’s not supposed to be our normal humid August weekend so I imagine you will see some great hair!
Kathy B. wrote about “lingering with God.” My scripture this morning was 2 Thess. 3:5 from the NLT:
“May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.”
It takes a lot of lingering with God to come to understand His love and grace. I am blessed to have God pursuing my heart and giving me extra time lately to linger with Him.
God bless you, Beth and team as you minister in Virginia! I’m looking forward to the simulcast on 9/18 when you’ll be live on-screen at my church in Rochester, MN π
There she goooooes into the wild .. blue .. yonnnnder… (again)
Have a great conference, Beth!
Desperate for a WORD this weekend! Can’t wait to see you Beth!
Love,
Kim
Eight hours and fifteen minutes from my little town in Tennessee… oh, if only it was closer! I miss being in the same room with Bethie and her hair. π
My friend Dawn and I are driving up from Hampton Roads tomorrow! We are so excited to join together with so many other women to worship our Lord and study His word!
Can’t wait for what God has planned for us in Richmond!
Beth, I can hardly wait to see you, hear you, worship with you in Richmond tomorrow evening! I’ll be there with my 2 younger sisters and 5 friends. I actually live about an hour to the west of Richmond, but you and Travis are totally worth the drive! π
I have been praying for you and your team for weeks in anticipation of the Richmond LPL event, as well as all the attendees. Did you know that Women of Faith is in DC this weekend? VA is gonna ROCK this weekend! WHOOT!WHOOT!
Jesus, may our praise be glorious and may You be blessed!!! Pour out Your Spirit on Beth, Lord, and speak to our hearts, Lord Jesus! Revive us and change us for Your glory and for the good of others. Amen.
Beth, I just want you to know that I am so excited to be able to attend the Living Proof Live event in the Boston area in about a month. I’ve been doing your studies, amid others, for about nine years now and this is the first time that I’m able to attend one of your events. I had planned to attend with my three sisters, but when their schedules wouldnβt allow their attendance, I decided to go solo. Canβt wait!
Lori I will be going to Boston too!!!! Yeah!! I have become a “Beth Moore live” groupie. No, just kidding. I took my sister in law this past April to her Tampa event and now in Oct I am taking my other sister in law to Boston event. I love Beth Moore and want every woman to know her.
Beth-We have been so looking forward to this conference. Our small church is sending 9 of us! Praise God!!
Would love a Siesta meeting!!
Praying for the LPL Richmond event! May God do a mighty work in all y’all! π
Have a wonderful, God-filled weekend with the ladies of Richmond! My prayer for this LPL is that He will reach the hearts of those that NEED Him in their lives. I’ve been torn apart by a statement someone made in a conversation about a situation in our country–the comment was “I’m an athiest that can’t get away from religion”! I wanted so badly to tell this person that God is showing Himself in mighty ways! Just wish they would stop and listen instead of demeaning those of us that do believe in Him. I know there are non-believers, but I’ve never been called names because of it!! I was praying for the words to respond, but nothing came.
Every time you speak, God knows who you will reach, and I pray that somehow His Word will reach some of these people. Thank you for sharing your gift with us and your prayers for all of us.
Blessings
I will be there with my precious Mother, Nancy. Dailey Rae is very upset that I am not letting her miss the 3rd day of school to come with me. Hahaha!
See you in about 24 hours!!!!! I’ll be the one praising Jesus! π
Tracy L.
Richlands, NC
But Dailey Rae is such a great notetaker, as she proved in Houston. I am a nurse. I’ll sign an excuse for her.
If Richmond is HALF as great as Lexington was, we are in for a MAJOR REVIVAL!!
Linda
My mom and my sisters are all coming to Richmond. Just been praying that the Lord will speak to us individually. We are all in need of HIM!!!!!! Can’t wait to worship and pursue Christ together.
Can’t wait for tomorrow–I am so excited for you to come to Richmond!!!
Nikki–I would love a siesta meet-up! my email is [email protected]
Rebecca
First time I traveled to see you was Richmond to meet a friend there. My friend will be there this weekend with her daughter to see you, and I so wished I was sitting next to her. Blessings of His Presence on everyone attending, and may an anointing like you haven’t known before fall on you, Beth.
WOOHOO!! Praise Jesus for the Siesta Tickets for my mom and I! Thank you SO much, Beth and LPM! My man has been laid off since January and my Dad has been laid off since last October. This weekend will be a HUGE blessing for my mom and I…my dad and my man will have “guy time” with our boys while we catch a word with Beth!!
Thank you thank you thank you!!
I was in Norfolk last weekend and had a tremendous time. Wish I was there In Richmond with you this weekend. I know God will show up in all power and might!!!
Blessings to all!!
Oh my gosh, I had a ticket and sold it (many reasons). If I could get two tickets, I might be able to talk a friend into driving up with me! I might call the office! Thank you so much for the offer!
Oh, Beth! I’m so glad to catch you right quick. I’ve been thinking of you this week. We have got to be kindred spirits, you and I, and the reason you’re on my mind is because I used one of your lines in this week’s column, which appeared in my local paper. I gave you credit, of course…thought you’d enjoy it. If you have a minute, here it is: http://momof4braves.blogspot.com/2010/08/enjoying-journey-to-thousand-gifts.html#links
Here’s to Starbucks and big dreams! And an even bigger God!
Bless you, dear sister.
God Bless You and Your Family

What a ride it will be with the Lord this weekend in Richmond!
Hey Siestas,
I’m driving up to Richmond from NC and would love to meet up! I’m coming to the conference alone. I’ll be leaving my darling husband and four children at home. I am almost (repeat almost) as excited about driving alone in the peace and quiet for 4 hours as I am about seeing Beth and you all! I’ll be praying for all of you!! My email is [email protected] Please email me if you’d like to say hi in person.
Safe travels Beth and all the Siestas!
With love,
Donna
Donna, you are a brave woman to drive all that way alone! But I totally understand your anticipation that your time alone in the car will be peaceful and quiet. I pray the Lord will hem you in behind and before, that He will watch over your life, and that you will enjoy some sweet fellowship with Him as you travel. “See” you in Richmond! π
I can’t wait to worship with all the Siestas and hear the Word in Richmond!! I’m driving up tomorrow with a friend…we’ve planned this for months! I was thinking just yesterday, wondering what in the world the Lord would have in store for all of us…You too, Beth. May you know His power and anointing in it’s freshness…may His Holy Spirit fill that convention center to fulness, not a single victory for darkness. “Thanks be to God who always leads us in His triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.” Praising Him in advance knowing He is always up to the wondrous…even when we can’t see with these eyes…we can adore Him with eyes of faith. He is so worthy.
Thank you Beth for coming to share and love on us!
Now off to clean house, and pack something fun to wear π
Will be praying for you and everyone to have a good meeting in Richmond. So wonderful for the support on this blog. Feeling bad about backing away and taking a break myself. So wonderful to have supporting friends and family. God has so blessed my life. Thanks Beth for sharing and caring.
Hey Beth,
Praying for a safe flight and a wonderful, Spirit filled time. Wish I could be there but I will be in OKC for the simulcast on the 18th. Can’t wait!
Did not comment on Amanda’s post but did read it. She is such a doll and I want to continue to hear from her. Glad she is taking this precious time with her kids. Both of your girls are such a delight to all of us in Siestaville.
OK, this might be a little bold but I definately think it is time for LPM to THINK and PRAY on buying a private aircraft. It would save you so much time and headache. Just a thought.
Your sister in our sweet Lord,
Lawan
I am anxiously awaiting the day I see Atlanta or Chattanooga on this “ticket giveaway” topic. I always seem to never have the cash when they go on sale, then woosh they are gone in 60 seconds!
I agree! It would be so awesome to see Siesta Mama Beth come to Chattanooga again. She was here several years ago, but it was an LPL for pastor’s wives, so I didn’t get to go…. sniff….
Adrienne
A friend and I are heading to Richmond! We are SO EXCITED!!! This is the first time for both of us to see you live. We both adore you and have gotten to know you well through your studies and online. We will be traveling up tomorrow morning. It’s about a 4 hour drive. Can’t wait to be there.
Praying God’s presence and power do a mighty work through you – God Bless you for “Being a Pass Through” as Rev. Evans describes- and lots of blessings to you personally for your energy, physical comfort, and joy. Sincerely
Beth- I live in Richmond and am SO excited about the weekend! It’s the first time I’ve ever seen you speak in person and I’m bringing my mom. I’m thrilled for this mother-daughter time. Praise God for all He is doing!!! God bless!
Hey Siestas,
I pray once agian for the Holy Spirit to just overflow in Virginia. May souls be sanctified and lives changed.
I can’t wait to watch the video π
Love and Peace,
Shannon
I am coming from VA Beach and can’t wait to be with you in person! Your Believing God was the first Bible study I ever did and I promised myself if you ever came close to my area I would see you live and in person! I have been so excited all week long!
I am so thankful that you are coming π Safe travels and God bless π
Welcome to Virginia, Beth!
My husband, one month old daughter Karis Elizabeth, and I will be there. Donald knew how badly I wanted to go, but not by myself with a newborn, so he surprised me with tickets for my birthday. We’re looking forward to our date night with the Lord and Beth. I was thinking of what a hardship this will be for him — to be one of only a few men among thousands of women — then the Lord opened my eyes. Haha!
SO looking forward to what Jesus has laid on his girl’s heart.
Much love to you and many prayers-
Kristin
Karis is off to a good start! π
I’m excited beyond words!! Me and a bunch of ladies from my church are volunteering and well we are all just super excited!! I hope I can get some sleep I’m so excited!! Can’t wait to see all that God has in store for us this weekend!! Did I mention I’m excited π
Loved Amanda’s post yesterday. I really enjoy reading her blog because we have similar lives (husbands in ministry, and a four year old boy).
Going tomorrow to LPL and can’t wait!!! So excited to see what God has in store and honestly he has been teaching me a lot recently, if you are teaching on one particular thing, I might freak out! He keeps bringing me the same truth over and over and its awesome! Now it is at the point, when I hear/read again, I just smile…that’s my God!
Katie Martin
Sooo CANNOT wait for LPL tomorrow night!! My sweet hubby surprised me with tickets as a present for finishing the bar exam. (Still don’t know whether I passed yet…). See you there Beth! Looking forward to hearing what God has to say!
I am so looking forward to goinng tomorrow. This is my first LPL event and I am hoping that I can still get tickets. I was waiting for a group of people that said they were interested but were not able to go with me at the last minute, but, Lord willing- I am coming!!!!
I am only two hours away so not a lot of driving back and forth. I will be listening to the Believing God CDs on the way there, that is the study that I am currently working on.
Can’t wait!!!! See ya tomorrow!
cant wait !!!- We are meeting just one block away from my job. – I plan to skip over π .Just too excited. Worship with Travis and the Word from you ..Yes -we are ready in Richmond..
Beth,
Friends of mine encouraged me to write you, since a turn of events, will not allow me to be a part of this incredible weekend in Richmond. I had purchased the ticket months ago to come and went to great effort to arrange my life to make it, knowing full well, after the year I have had…I’d move heaven and earth to be encouraged and refreshed…I needed this weekend desparetly.
A year ago, Jan. 14, 2009, my daughter, Hannah, age 6 at the time, was diagnosed with leukemia. We are still in treatment, 2 years in…and have come a long way…she has been incredibly brave and has left great impact on all who have met her! As of 2 weeks ago, she had developed hand/foot/mouth virus, that landed us in the ER 3 times last week with high fever, IV antibiotics and fluids. She has had fever for 12 days, all the while, her blood was being watched closely, to make sure the leukemia wasn’t trying to return. All of this to say, with her being so fragile still, I have painfully decided to not attend, since she is not 100% and very needy of my care for her.
I would be honored, if you and your staff could lift Hannah up for a full recovery and for continued perserverance in our cancer journey. We have till April with chemo treatments and spinal sedations with chemo in her spinal fluid. It has been a lot for a 7 year old to go through, but know the Lord is using her for His glory and will make something very beautiful with her life and testimony through it all! It has been an honor to be a part of her remarkable life as her mother!
Also, could it be possible to receive an audio or video recording of this weekend in Richmond? Sure would be an encouragement to me.
You are an anointed speaker for our Lord, Beth! You are making an eternal impact on this earth and that’s what life is all about in God’s economy!
Keeping the Faith,
Susanne Johnson

You bet you have our prayers for you and your precious Hannah! He sees, He knows, and He is with you.
Check our website in a few weeks to know if this LPL-Richmond message will be available.
His peace to you.
Thanks so much, Kimberly, for responding. I’ll keep my eyes open the next few weeks to check back for the video option. I so appreciate it.
Love, Susanne
My fellow Bible study members asked that I get a photo taken with you to prove that you are a real person! LOL! I assured them that you are real and in the Word. We’re currently using your Esther study and it’s just amazing. Looking forward to hearing what God has placed on your heart to give to us this weekend.
