SLI Simulcast Commissioning Statement

Hi ladies! Mom just sent me the commissioning statement to post on the blog. She also wanted me to tell you that you’re the teachers pets. We love you! -Amanda

My Dear Sister

If Christ is Your Savior

You are the dwelling place

Of His own Spirit

You have it IN YOU

to be secure.

Every day of your life

You have a choice to make

You can live in your old defeat

Or you can turn from your unbelief

And choose life

Make up your mind

To put off the old you

And put on the new you.

Never, ever, ever forget

That the Lord is your security.

He will keep your foot

From being caught in a trap.

He will take care of you

To your very last breath.

Now, leave this place

And go out into the world

And act like a person

Who knows she’s dearly loved.

You were born to be exceptional.

So, Girlfriend, go forth

And walk worthy of your calling.

You are clothed in strength and dignity!

Now unto Him

Who can keep you from falling

Be glory and majesty

Power and authority

Through Jesus Christ our Lord

Now and forever more

Amen.

So Long, Insecurity!

The simulcast was such a blast! I kept on picturing the Lord looking down and leaning in on all of us worshipping Him in all our off-key voices, in our imperfect ways, and so hoping He was blessed and tickled by our sincere desire to praise His Holy Name. And you, Beth, did our Father proud! We love you so much.

    Blessings, dear sisters,

    Beth-

Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing such a powerful word to 300,00 women. Who would have imagined, but God!!! My 21 year old daughter was attending at a different location close to school. She texted me through lunch and said the Lord laid it on her heart to ask me to forgive her for saying that you were my idol. She told me that now she saw why I liked her so much. Such powerful work in a young lady. BTW Beth I love you to pieces but you certainly are NOT an idol to me. Been there and done that, He will not allow that!! The closing commissioning was very powerful because I was able to hold my dear friend’s hand and pray that prayer with her looking into my eyes with such love. This is the same friend that loved me when I was in the pit and gave me the ability to trust again after a betrayal.

I love you so much and am immeasurably grateful for how He has used you powerfully in my life. To God be the Glory. Amen

    Diana A says:

To God be all the Glory!
I am home from a monumental day! Thank you Ms. Beth for all your work, commitment, love and support that came through to us today!
I just wanted to share that at our location, which is not my home church, there were 2 beautiful ladies signing for the deaf. As I watched them provide the words through the music, their faces lit up, and I swear ‘glowed’. I almost could not sing, as I was so captured by their expressions of music through hands.
I did have to (very quietly) giggle to myself, to see the 2 women spotting each other off every 10 minutes, as they tried valantly to keep up with Beth’s message. I am not sure how they were able to get each word translated, but they sure got a upper arm workout today:)
What a complete blessing they were to me, as I have not been exposed often to such great service to God.

Thank you Beth for the giggle today, I KNOW you are not insecure over my comment.

    God Bless You Beth,
    Love your sister in Christ,

Thank you Beth! Wow! God has definitely spoken a word over us. Thank you Jesus! I am so glad you posted that commissioning statement. I’m printing it out and keeping it where I can read it and remind myself.

Amanda, I hope you are doing well and getting the rest you need as you care for your healing man and your two precious kiddos. You are being prayed for! Thanks for being a blessing to us. We missed you today but trust you were encouraged in the Lord as you were right exactly where you needed to be.

Amanda and Beth, Thank you so much for posting this Commissioning Statement! I didn’t get to go, and just happened to check in with you all and so excited to see this and be able to share it with my daughter.
I have told you a little about her. She is my 20 year old, beautiful daughter who is going to college to be a Christian counselor,. . .who is my inspiration for me to have the Security that I need to pass onto her! She just got her heart broken, and she is doing very well, because of her relationship with the Lord.
I’m sorry this is so long. . .
I just have to tell you Beth that she is doing your Living Beyond Yourself. . .Fruits of the Spirit study on her own right now, and she is amazed at the perfect timing.
She just told me, “I want to meet her to tell her thank you!”

Usually I would just leave a sentence or two to say “Thanks Beth that was a blessing!” But it was more than just a blessing. This week was one of the hardest weeks I’ve had in years. All my “insecurity” buttons were pushed and I did not want to come to Woodstock today. Just wanted to hide out somewhere and lick my wounds. But I went and God just kept speaking to me. Over and over.

I Had read the book and enjoyed it – because I do teach ladies and I felt its such an important subject… but did not feel like I had any insecurities. God told me otherwise this week…. and told me how to conquor them… WoW! I give him all the credit Beth… He spoke VOLUMES through you today…. He’s amazing!

    Love you, Heidi

    FloridaLizzie says:

Wow, this was such a wonderful day with you, Beth! I brought my mom and sister to 1st Baptist of Lake Wales, FL, and we all got so much out of it. Even the table discussion at lunch with some women we’d never met was God-ordained. I connected a lot of dots today beyond what was in the book, and was glad you reminded us that insecurity is a form of unbelief! I also heard some words that would help my husband. Would anybody join me in praying that God will raise up a man who will connect with men everywhere the way that God has chosen Beth to connect with women? Our men need to interact with God’s word and with each other the way we are–imagine the transformation that would occur!

    tammy says:

I was sitting there “wondering” what the day would bring feeling the insecurity intensely then……God spoke to me! Beth referenced that “someone” had written into the blog that they felt insecure about the simulcast and wondered if she was the ONLY one God wouldn’t have a word for. My heart leapt and in that instant God resonated with my heart–HE sees me, HE hears me…Beth Moore was talking about me, my little blog post., a face among 300,000. I almost turned to someone next to me and said “that was me, I wrote that” but in that moment I realized something better than being noticed by a Bible study teacher I highly esteem. My God–He hears me, He speaks to me—not just a face among 300,000 but HIS daughter whom He dearly loves. I praise you Lord. Don’t leave me where I am but take me beyond.

I’m so glad to hear that you went! I was praying for you before the simulcast, hoping you would trust God to speak to you. God is good, siesta, and it gives me goosebumps to know you got your answer!!

Thank-you for sending us this!! Just got home from here in beautiful Wyoming where I got to share this day with wonderful friends, who are not quite as insecure as when they walked in to that sanctuary. Tell your mom thank-you for making my birthday so very EXCEPTIONAL!!!

Thank you for posting this… I was crying through this exercise sooo much today and I wanted to have the words again so that I could really say them one more (in a louder voice) to my dear friend Denise.

Thank you for today and for continuing to let God use you in women’s lives. I am continuing the journey of becoming “Except Her.” Have a safe journey home tonight.

    Joyce Watson says:

Beth, God is truely working in my life and in others. I had to drive an hour away to hear the simulcast and in tears to let go of some things on the way home. Although I have been a Christian since I was 16 years old, there have been some insecurity issues the Lord has been working through and helping me feel free for the first time. Thank you for sharing God’s Word.
Renewed mind, renewed heart, unending grace and living by God’s love!

One thing I have to laugh about on my way back home I was this sign “Secure Care”
Self-Storage. I thought yes, I need to store that old self away somewhere else and
trust in the secure care of God.
Love & Blessings to all my Sisters in Christ

  15. 65
    Emily says:

Thank you, so much Beth for doing this. I drove from Battle Creek, MI to pick up my mom, sister and sister’s friend in another town and attended the simulcast in Mishawaka, IN. A small group, but moving nonetheless. A message that was perfect to those who had read the book to the person who had never experienced you before. As you talk about your walk that made this possible, I am more thankful for my own struggles that can help others. This has blessed over a quarter of a million people. You were definately used by God!

  16. 66
    Susan says:

Dear Beth, I praise God for how He is using you to touch my life, as well as 300,000 other women! The last year has been a really tough one. I realize now that God has been preparing me for this message and I see now how insecurity has been effecting how I have been acting and reacting to circumstances in my life. I am looking forward to the renewing of my mind and my life as a secure woman of God.

I loved your blouse! Made me think about in one of your studies – Daniel or Esther – you made a comment about sparkly wings. There was a little girl at your Bible study and you were the My Little Pony with sparkly wings. That has been a private joke with God and me…I’ve been asking for some sparkly wings…the Love of God showing through. You had “Sparkly Wings” today. πŸ™‚

I agree with Connie – is my partner and I married now? Actually, she and I did the same thing at another Simulcast a couple years ago…and didn’t realize it until today, but we have become close prayer partners over the last year. We laughed today when it came time to do the Commission statement. Her sister was there today and so the three of us joined together. What a beautiful time we had.

Beth, God bless and I am looking forward to what God is going to do through today’s presentation. I am about half way through your book. Thank you so much for being willing to let God use you. May He find me faithful too! Love you and all yours.

    Gail says:

    Wow!

I am empowered by the Holy Spirit to experience true Victory in Jesus! Jesus loves me, THIS I KNOW! I cried just a little bit, too! πŸ™‚ Thank you, Travis and Beth, for being such diligent servants of the Lord and delivering His message to 300,000+ women today! Thank you, Lord, for Your Living Word!

Thank you Beth. What a word!! I need to really let it sink in before I talk about it (learned that from you in January at the siesta celebration), but I just wanted to say thank you. I don’t comment on the blog that often (maybe due to insecurity, I’ll have to think on that one too) but I just wanted to say how blessed I am to be a siesta.

May God bless you, your family and staff as you travel home, rest and renew tonight and tomorrow.

God was working here at FUMC in Panama City, FL. We had so many lives touched, and heard so many positive comments from our attendees. I challenged all the ladies to come together across denominations and to hopefully host an event like this together in our local civic center. I pray that we can continue to reach the lives of our neighbors in this community. Beth, thank you for allowing the Lord to work through you in such a mighty way today! From the worship led by Travis to the bible lessons, we were praising God and worshiping as if we were in the same room. It is incredible to think that God the creator of our universe was lifted up by so many at the same time, all across this great country. Praise Jesus!

What a blessing to be at First Baptist of Woodstock today! It was a rainy day in Georgia, but the SON was shining and He reigned! Laughed, cried, worshiped, learned. Holy Spirit was so real! Loved the teaching! Thank you Father for the SECURE Word brought to 300,000+ women by Beth! Beth, you are a delight and a blessing.

Siesta Beth, as you are familiar with the movie, “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs”, no doubt you heard the song, “It’s Raining Sunshine”. Today, in Woodstock, Georgia, and all over the world, indeed, it was REIGNING SONSHINE. What a delight to serve our God. What a delight to be taught by one so precious as Siesta Beth. πŸ™‚ Thanks to all who made this day possible.

Home from spending the day at the Simulcast, enjoying it from Sanford Maine. πŸ™‚ I’ve got lots of homework…putting off and putting on and committing God’s Word to memory and letting Him make me EXCEPTional!! Thank you, BETH for being faithful in preaching God’s Word!!

I just got home and walked in the door when a neighbor called to to tell me that a young friend of mine had been killed in a car accident 10 miles from our simulcast site earlier today in Mt. Sterling, Ky. We had heard about the terrible accident and were even encouraged to pray from the church we were at but not thinking I would know anyone involved. I am currently in a tough season after last year’s glorious “year of the Lord’s favor,” but I know it’s worth it to trust him and walk with Him through these tough times. Like you said today, Beth, “whatever we are going through, the people our tough times will ultimately help WILL be worth it” (me included). And you referenced Romans 8:28. Thank you for the powerful simulcast and the honest words of truth about insecurity. I’ve come this far (10 years of serious seeking) so I look so forward to sticking out like a healthy thumb for His fame!!! You have been my mentor and I appreciate you for your diligence, humor and love for Him. PTL, I loooove Him, too!!! Dana in KY

EXCELLENT teaching today, a Word straight from Eph 4!…We Are 300,000+ S.E.C.U.R.E. women in Christ Jesus! (no more weak willed women..amen?) Thank you Beth, Travis, and all the Lifeway family for bringing this simulcast to so many of us – we needed this fresh Word from our Lord and Savior in whom we ARE secure. Now…you need to literally crash and DO NOTHING girlfriend Beth (if those “other ladies” in your head will shush for awhile and let you veg!) – you’ve earned a do-nothing day (or two or three!..) Blessings and lovin’ on ya from California…

I had a blast at Lindsey Lane Baptist Church in Athens, AL. They were a wonderful host church! My mom and I said the commissioning together! It was wonderful! Loved the songs that Travis and band played and sang! It was an amazing day in the Word of the Lord! It felt just like Beth was there with us in the room.

May God bless Living Proof Ministries!

Great day! I was so insecure on my way to the conference. The three ladies I traveled with were all dressed up in girly clothes and looked really nice. I had surgery a month ago and still moving a bit slow, so I’m behind in our laundry. I wore jeans, a shirt, a pair of my husband’s socks and tennis shoes. Talk about insecure! When I saw Beth and Melissa in jeans – I laughed so hard! I loved it! God is good!

What a great day! God really came through for us today through Beth. We had a great time in Topeka, KS probably around 200 women. Was interested to see what you could pull out of the kids book though. Thanks for the commissioning. One of our ladies had said she wished it was printed in the booklet. Now we can have it.
I have been a Christian for a long time. But today I realized that at times I am not living very effectively. My prayer is that I can live victoriously in my identity of Christ!
    Thanks Beth.

Thank you so much for all you do, Beth. I loved the simulcast. I wasn’t going to go because I have not necessarily felt insecure, but God’s message through you convicted me of many things I needed to hear, particularly the self idolatry and pride stuff. I appreciate that you always have something new and fresh. Your walk with the Lord shows. May He continue to bless you.

    Beth,
Very inspiring and supportive message from Dubuque, IA site! (300 of us)! I am in the middle of a big decision about helping orphans in Africa and I felt like you spoke to me about my fears and inadequacies. I feel so much more secure with the trust I must take from Christ who strengthens me. I have never read an entire book of the Bible before this year and had just got through Ephesians. The Chapter we read today was what grabbed me more during this decision I must make and how amazing that God should have you do almost an entire Simulcast on that chapter. Thank you from the bottom of our Midwestern hearts!

I pray that each and every one of us will be able to overcome and take of the old and put on the new each day. Thanks isn’t enough for all you do!

    Beth,
As you always say, it was no mistake that I was there today to hear your message. As usual, God’s timing was perfect. You delivered a message that spoke to me about some things that God has been showing me recently. I so appreciate the fact that you TRULY trust Him to give you His message to deliver…..it is evident every time I hear you speak. (because it seems as if you’re speaking straight to me!) Your messages have been a blessing on my journey with God for about 10 years now. I told someone today that had never heard of you (how sad for her) that you have to be truly called by God to do what you are doing because there’s no way you would still be selling out arenas if your messages were not of God…His word is always fresh and new. Thank you for following after Him and allowing Him to use you so that generations can be blessed!

Our host site lost power about half way through the afternoon. We did not hear the ‘R’ and ‘E’ of S.E.C.U.R.E. Thank you to any sweet siesta that would post them for me.

      Terri says:

R – Rebounded by love. To be secure we have to know that someone loves us unfailingly. God unfailingly loves us. Go out there and live like a dearly loved child of God! When we’re secure, we can love people without needing them to love us.

E – Exceptional in life. If we put off the old self, decide to think about how the new me should respond and then get out and act that way, we will be exceptional. If we are secure and walk in security we will stick out like a healthy thumb in this culture. And people will ask us why and we can tell them it’s because of Jesus.

      • Robin in Florida says:
