Some WP Hints and the LPL Tucson Recap

A few bits of randomness this morning:

-When you leave a comment, you only need to fill in the web site field if you have a blog or personal web site that you’d like people to be able to visit when they click on your name. If you don’t have one, you can just leave it blank.

-Feel free to use whatever screen name you were previously using in the name field.

-Our old avatars (pictures) aren’t showing up here because WordPress does not recognize our Blogger/Google accounts. Several siestas have recommended going to Gravatar.com to get a free universally recognized avatar to use. I think we all miss seeing the beautiful faces next to the comments!

-Did you know that you can respond directly to another siesta’s comment by clicking “reply” underneath her comment? (Otherwise, you’ll just scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for the comment box.)

-Unfortunately, we lost the comments that were left on the blog over the weekend. I’m so sorry about that. Please feel free to type your comment again if you would like to.

-Did you know that Rich, our wonderful Living Proof Live photographer, and his wife just had their first baby? She was born a few days before the Toronto conference. (That’s why we didn’t have a recap video for that event.) Rich has promised to send me some pictures of Baby Polly to share on the blog. She is beautiful! In the meantime, please enjoy the Living Proof Live Tucson recap video. Thanks, Rich!

I was at the conference in Tucson this last weekend and i was so blessed by Beth and her teaching. She read an affirmation at the end of saturdays session that we had to repeat to a friend-that was a very powerful moment for me and my girlfriend. Do you think you can post it on here so i can get a copy of it?

What a blessing LPL in Tucson was to so many women in our church. The comment I hear again and again is that they are still “chewing” on everything they heard. Praise God, and ME TOO! I have plowed into 1 Corinthians 15. The treasure! Beth, what we all love about you most I think is your deep, deep love for Christ and for the Word of God. It is infectious and inspired. You remind of us of how captivating and beautiful the Bible is and help to spur us on to not only fall in love with it, but fall deeper in love with it’s Author. Thank you for your faithfulness. There is a hum in our body of women. It’s fun to witness! And thanks too to Keith, and Amanda and Melissa and their hubbies for supporting you in this work. Their faithfulness is such an example. And the praise team and their families too, what a sacrifice of love and time. The Lord is being glorified. Just look at all of those raised hands in Rich’s super video! Woo hoo!

I was blessed beyond belief and the ladies I went with really blessed me too. It’s awesome to be with 3500 other women praising and worshiping and hearing the word of God. God Bless you Beth and all the other people that make this ministry happen.

Thank you so much for the recap!!! I wept tears of joy and awe…O, to be able to see the expression on my Lord’s face as He looks down in the midst of our worship…as a group or individually, I know He must be delighted!

What an encouragement to know I am not alone in love with my Savior, but there are others like me– thirsting and hungering to know truth and seeing God satisfy our desire through opportunities such as this!

Heaven’s sounding sweeter all the time!!!

I don’t know how it happens. I am flying high in my Jesus. I am confident in the Lord. Then a client fires me. I know I haven’t done anything wrong. I don’t deserve to be fired. It’s just one of those things. But my insecurities rear their ugly heads. My confidence sinks. I am trying to read, pray, confess. Suddenly, my spirit remembers who I am in Christ. I don’t need anyone’s approval. I have Jesus and that’s all I need. Jesus knew this client would fire me before the client ever hired me. He has my back. So long, Insecurities.
