It’s BIBLE STUDY DAY!!!!

Oh, my, my, my. It is a HAPPY BUSY DAY at Living Proof. We launch our community-wide, interdenominational Tuesday Bible study this very night. We feel like this is the prime thing God ordained this ministry to do. We are discipleship freaks so, as much as we love going into cities and doing weekend events, our highest calling is to walk with a group from Point A to Point B to Point C in a particular book of the Bible or subject matter over a course of several months. We are PUMPED.

Very early this morning while I was at my breakfast room table working on my notes for tonight, I got a call from Melissa who sounded like she was in the first grade. She was on her way to orientation for her second Master’s program (Th.M. in the area of Biblical Studies). Her classes will have her in at least four different books of the Bible so she’s all set for an intense semester in the Scripts.

Amanda will be right there with me and the rest of our hardworking staff as we launch Bible study so that covers the 3 Moore girls. What about all you marvelous Siestas? You may not be starting your Fall Bible studies this week but we surely do hope you are planning to engage in a Bible study of some kind this semester and, hopefully, sooner than later. All our enemy needs is a little time with an idle mind. Around Siestaville, holding each other accountable to the healthy pursuit of Christ is a big priority. So, here’s your chance to sign on the dotted line! What are your plans for Fall Bible Study? In your comment, give…

Your first name or blogger name
The Bible study type (BSF, Precept, etc.), name or subject matter
City and State
Specify solo or group

I always love these kinds of posts. They build up our faith and remind us that a very powerful community of active Christ-pursuing, Scripture-poring sisters is out there. We have different personalities, gifts and styles of worship in Siestaville, but we are of one Spirit and one Body. Let’s celebrate it!

    Hi Beth,
I'm kind of embarassed to write a post to you. I don't know why. Maybe b/c I'm a "don't-need-too-many-people-noticing-me" kinda gal…? Anways, I just read this post and decided to DO it! Because I'm really excited! And I just KNEW you would be too! Because it *seems* like it's right up your alley…I mean what I'm about to tell you! I wish I could give ALL the details, but I see you already have 1145 posts to read! Egads!

    My name: Jane

Bible study type: Beth's Breaking Free with a group of 20-something girls. I'm leading it (wonders abound in life!), and wasn't even planning on doing this book. But I'm telling you, they were BEGGING do study more on freedom and strongholds (we studied this summer over Ephesians and freedom was just always coming up somehow!!). So, I couldn't think of a better and more in depth way – I couldn't venture to do this topic on my own! They were ALL about it. I'm really excited! I kept praying about it and guess what?! We are going to run a race together too…Heb 12…as we throw off everything that entangles us together as sisters…how amazing to have a physical way to do it together! Run from everything that hinders and running to Jesus – together!! Gosh I'm excited.

I'm sorry this was so long. Sometimes I just ramble!

I just recently completed Esther. Loved it!!! God so used this study to "meet me where I was". A few days ago I felt a "welling-up" of some emotions that "ran the gamut", so I am "diving in" to "Living Beyond Yourself". God's Word is the "relief", the healing, the repairing, and preparing that my heart and soul both need and desire. My Bible has become a treasured Best Friend. Thank you for meeting with God and sharing His Word! Lifting you up in prayer!

A couple different things…forgoing weekly ladies study to minister in new AWANA program at our church…so in my down time reading James MacDonald, Lord Change my Attitude: Before it's too late (a recommended read from a good friend) and a home fellowship with good friends and my hubby to study the book of Isaiah, also based on a James MacDonald study. Going through When Godly People…a second time too…cause life is hard and I need perspective on why…it is all GOOD! Through it all, continuing to DELIGHT in HIM in Colorado Springs!
