We Converged!

I want to take a minute and thank all of you who were with us for Converge last Thursday night at the Berry Center. We’re so glad you were there! In case you have no idea what I’m talking about, we were joined by special guests CeCe Winans and Travis Cottrell and his praise team for a night of worship and the Word. It was a wonderful evening and we were so blessed by you! Curtis was our emcee and at one point he asked the people who had never been to an LPM event (like Tuesday night Bible study) to raise their hands. We were thrilled by how many there were. It looked like half to me, but I could be wrong. What a great joy to be able to serve all of you in Jesus’ name!

I’ve had so many sweet friends share with me what the Lord spoke to them that night through Beth’s message. Ladies, isn’t it awesome that we have a God who is active in our lives? Not just when we get to heaven, but NOW? We’re believing Him to work in every person’s life who attended and we’re already praising Him for those testimonies.

A lot of my friends mentioned how neat the stage, lighting and video production were. We contracted some friends from Beth’s Living Proof Live Events (which are done through LifeWay) to help us out with that. They do such an excellent job! It occurred to me that a lot of our girls in Houston have never attended a Living Proof Live event, and that’s totally understandable because we get to study the Word together all the time here at home. But if you really enjoyed the energy and the quality of production of the event – not to mention Travis Cottrell and his awesome praise team – you should look into coming to a Living Proof Live conference in 2009. The conferences are like three sessions of what we did at Converge. Here is a link to the schedule. Our Houston girls will be closest to the El Paso and New Orleans events.

I’d also like our Houston girls to know that a new song from Travis’ Christmas CD has just been added to KSBJ’s Christmas rotation. The song is “Ring the Bells.” It’s one of my favorites. So if you call in and request it, they’ll be able to play it now. If you hear it and love it (which you will!), stop by Travis’ blog and let him know!

We hope many of you will join us this Spring for our Inheritance Bible Study at Houston’s First Baptist Church. We get started on Tuesday, January 13. For more information, visit our Houston Connection page. See you then!

P.S. We’re considering producing a product from the Converge event, but if we decide to do that it will be several months before it will be available for purchase. Thanks so much for your patience!

To all the sweet ladies at LPM!

Y’all did a more than FANTASTIC job. Everything was simply amazing!

I haven’t even blogged about it yet, because I am still just pondering what was spoken over me that night. I felt like the message was just for me. God is so good! I know that He is working in my heart and I pray that this year is my year! ๐Ÿ™‚

So, thank you ever so much for all of your HARD work. I know this wasn’t a simple task for y’all to put on. I pray that He is working in other hearts, also. And I know He is by the amount of tears I saw that night!

Love you all to pieces and am so grateful for your ministry!

BIG HUGS and SEE YOU IN THE SPRING!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Wish I could have been there! I have been to an LPM event in Billings, just this past September, and it was AWESOME! I had never been really introduced to Beth Moore before, but since that conference, I’ve worked my way through several of her books, and am at the end of Stepping Up now. Don’t know how I missed her before! So glad to hear about Converge, I look forward to video and details.

I was so blessed by this event!! Back in Sept. I felt very impressed to buy tickets. When I went on ticket servant there were 7 tickets left on a particular row and I thought perfect. Seven is a perfect number and I had no idea who I was going to ask but prayed that God would lead me to who needed to be there. The outcome was my mom-in-law a couple of co-workers, an old friend a new friend and another family member who had just been through a long ordeal. The point was they each heard something they needed to hear from God. The reactions were different from elation/joy to tears to solemn silence. But it was so evident that God spoke and I was so humbled to be a part of that. What He said to me was that I am not cursed. I could so identify with Beth’s friend that she mentioned had a son with autism. I, too have a child with autism…a precious daughter. Blessed are we when what others receive naturally must come to us supernaturally through God. These words breathed such new life in my spirit. I have always felt and seen God work through this hard situation, but I cannot ever say honestly that I felt blessed or chosen by it. I will now. I am anxious to see how God can work through this shift in my attitude. Thanks again Living Proof and Beth for your faithful service.

    Amanda,
Converge was wonderful, my mother and I drove in from central Louisiana for the night. And God spoke to us. I don’t know why, but it still amazes me when God speaks so clearly thru his word.

This has been a rough year!! My mother had 2 of her brothers diagonised with the same type of cancer both at stage 4. We buried one of them 4 weeks ago and we are praying that the other one will make it till christmas.

What was so amazing about Beth’s teaching, it was just what we needed to her. The one uncle that is still with us is not saved, has no desire to listen to anything about God. My mother’s heart has been breaking, as well as the rest of the family as we pray in shifts for his salvation. God is faithful with our prayers and his timing is perfect.

So thank you living proof for being faithful with God’s word. And blessing our hearts and such a difficult time.

Thank you Amanda. I am hoping and praying that I will be able to attend the Living Proof Live conference here in Portland, Or in April. Not sure if we can go yet or not but hoping!! I keep telling my husband that is all I want for my birthday since it is on that weekend that you are all here.
I also want to say what a blessing it has been for me since I have found this blog. God is so great and awesome.
And a Merry Christmas to you all.

    Hey Nadine,
If you want to send us an email to [email protected], we’d be happy to help bring some clarity to what Beth meant by that point. I don’t want to confuse our readers who weren’t there to hear it in context.

    Hi Amanda,

It was one incredible night. I sent an e-mail to you all via LPM e-mail on the WOW experience of Converge. My husband came with and totally understands why I go to the Tuesday night study series. How amazing Travis and his team is and why Beth has been such an mentor to me and her teaching has taken me farther than I ever dreamed possible in my journey. I was so proud of Curtis and his emcee duties and proudly told my husband that was who I had just completed the LIT class with. The place was filled with Jesus Christ. The presentations were soooo powerful bringing home the true meaning of Christmas. It juts simply does not get better than that!I hope and pray there will be another Converge next year.
Thank you for brining this to us as it was an experience to treasure in the deepest places of our hearts.

    Many blessings and thanks.

Converge was absolutely fabulous! Thank you all so, so much for all the hard work and dedication to making it such a wonderful event! I think I actually cried with excitement when CeCe Winans played the first song…it brought back such fun memories of dancing during Praise & Worship at Tuesday Night Bible Study. Travis was amazing of course, and Beth looked absolutely beautiful! Looking forward to January for Tuesday Night Bible Study!

Thank-you so much for letting us know how it went, Amanda. I prayed for the event and specifically that people who had never been to something like that before, would attend.

I think it should have been televised so all of us in the hinterland (ie. Wyoming) could enjoy it. Someday…it will be just like the Bob Hope Christmas specials of old….the “Travis and Beth and CeCe Christmas Special”.

I am so looking forward to attending Deeper Still in Oklahoma City next December! You guys were so excited with your snow last week, today I woke up with 2 inches on the ground and it is still snowing. Looks like we will end up with 4 inches and since it won’t be above freezing until at least 12/19 it will stay this week. I was driving to work this morning with the light snow falling and white everywhere. It reminded me so much how God makes us white as snow by forgiving us for our sins. Then as I drove and the sand mixed with the beautiful white snow was such a dirty mucky brown and no where as beautiful as the fresh fallen powder that had fallen, it reminded me how I feel when I have sinned against God and have not asked for forgiveness. God help me find those areas of my inner being that still need to be made white as snow. You are an awesome God who loves me far greater than I can imagine! Thanks to y’all at LPM for bringing this message anew to my heart. Jan in Kansas

Thank you LPM for Converge. It was awesome. Like others I haven’t even blogged about it because I am still meditating on the message. God had a specific Word for me that night. Three co-workers from HFBC came with me and we were ministered to and we had a blast fellowshipping. Thank you for the hard work and the time it took to make Converge happen.

I just finished the Session 2 DVD of Believing God in which Beth was ecstatic because she got to meet CeCe Winans who was sitting behind her at a Women of Faith conference. It was so cool to immediately get on the Blog and find out that she was able to include CeCe in the worship at Converge. The copyright on my book is 2002, so I don’t know if CeCe Winans has ever been a special guest before or not, but I think it is so awesome how God delights in giving us these special perks from time to time. It had to be a specific and unique treat for your mom! I’m on my 6th workbook, and every single one of them has been so amazingly helpful and intensely personal in my life. I pray that the Lord continues to bless all of you and shower you with more than you could possibly think or ask.

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to thank all of you at LPM for "Converge"–it was an amazing evening!! CeCe was very good and of course, Travis' voice is still resonating in my heart! He did three of my favorite songs of his and I could hear them over and over….ok, I have the CD's but in person is much better!

Beth was right on for my husband & I that evening. I'm looking forward to hearing about something coming out of that lesson, it was a good one.

My best friend and I attended Converge. We are both 40, and never been married- but both desparately want to be! We had dinner before Converge and talked about WHY God had not answered our prayers of 15(+) years for a husband!:o( And then lo and behold, Beth talks about that some just a few hours later!! And that our prayers HAD been heard!!!! WOW! It jus helped hearing that message. We both had tears in our eyes. I guess it seems harder during the holidays, and being alone is more apparent.
For the ladies who are blessed with a husband, please enjoy every minute with them!! (Do it for us single sietas! :o)

Great Job LPM!!! I had such a wonderful time at Converge!!! I brought my husband with me. This was his first LPM event and first time to ever hear Beth speak. He was blown away!!!!! He loved it and said that he would like to attend an LPM weekend with me next year. PTL!!! He said he know understands the excitement that I come home with from a weekend with LPM. He loved the worship and thought that Travis and the crew were just awesome. He wanted to buy Travis' cd's and I had to stop him. We have them all already!! He came home and went through the cds to find them. Anyhow, thanks for a great treat during the Christmas season. This was a great tool to get my focus back on God and take it off of the everday hussle and bussle of this busy season. Love to all & Merry Christmas!!!

Also, what an exciting study the Houston group will begin in this spring. If its anything like the Inheritance messages that Beth brough at the LPL in San Antonio, your girls will be richly blessed. Not a week goes by that I don’t recall what she said about our home in heaven and the inheritance that is ours! Thank you Jesus!

    Beth,
I am giving you a gift that I think you’ll love as much as I do. This is a Chrsitmas poem I read to my children and I thought you may like for your grandbabies.

    “A Child’s Questions”

    Have you been to Bethlehem
    Did you see the babe?
    Warmly wrapped in swaddling clothes
    And in a manger laid?

    Mama said His mother sang
    A soft, sweet lullaby
    And angels joined in chorus
From far up in the sky.

Did you hear the angels singing?
Heavens bells ring in the morn?
Sister said God planned it thus
    Because His Son was born.

The cattle and the sheep were there
For He was in a shed,
The inn in Bethlehem was full
So a manger was His bed.

But brother said He liked it there
    Cradled in the hay,
And shepherds came to worship Him
    On that first Christmas day.

    Have you been to Bethlehem
    Did you see the star?
Papa said it guided wise men
    From their home afar.

They brought their gifts most precious
And at His feet they laid,
And bowed in awe and reverence
    To this most holy babe.

I would like to go to Bethlehem
    And baby Jesus see
For preachers said that when a man
He died for you and me.

I would like to kiss His dimpled hand
    Where later nails were driven,
And then I want to go someday
To live with Him in heaven.

    By Grandma Bush

I went to “Converge” with 2 sisters from Lake Charles, LA. It wasn’t an easy task for any of us, LOTS of traffic…a goofy GPS and of course our precious, high-maintenance families could hardly imagine 24 hours without us (Praise God!)! It was sooooo worth it! The music blessed my soul…oh, it blessed me to hear Travis sing Christmas Carols. CeCe is beautiful and her voice is so sweet….our Praise and Worship surely blessed HIM; what a joy it was to be there!

My FAVORITE part in the media presented was the video of the star above the earth….tears streamed down my face when I saw that star, the North Star, His Star!

Beth, the lesson was one I am still using. I haven’t cancelled any prayers yet and am so blessed to know ALL of my prayers are in front of the ONE who will never disappoint. Your jacket was outrageously cute! Your are a treasure and I thank you for your faithfulness!

God is so good to let you spend a whole breakfast with such noble Christian leaders as The Dobsons and LaHaye’s. He knows exactly how to keep us going; I am encouraged by what you shared about your time with them. Merry Christmas to you and all of the LP soldiers!
