You girls know we are absolutely shameless in asking for prayer, so here I come again with another request! Mom is in the Dallas area, my old stomping grounds, this weekend. Between tonight and tomorrow afternoon she will tape five teaching sessions for “Wednesdays with Beth” on “Life Today with James and Betty Robison.” (She’ll teach two sessions tonight and three on Saturday.) She does several of these tapings each year. These weekends are incredibly intense. Imagine a Living Proof Live event with two extra sessions. Each time she is completely dependent on God for a sustained anointing, perfect health, full energy, restorative sleep, concentrated preparation time, focus, and a great connection with the audience – in other words, a demonstration of the Spirit’s power! It is a good and desperate place to be.
My dad is usually with her on these weekends because they feel that she benefits from the covering of his presence and his prayers. He is not able to be at this particular taping, so we would like to ask our sweet siestas to help us with some extra prayer coverage for Beth. These episodes reach what is to me a mind-boggling amount of people. Please pray that Jesus will completely overtake my mom and use her to teach the Word boldly and accurately to the studio audience and viewers at home. Pray that His name will be glorified through all of this. Thank you so much, friends! It is all about Him!

Lord overtake Beth this weekend as she tapes the episodes. Fill her with wisdom and all the right words. Give her good rest and lots of energy so she will be able to get through these busy days. Use her in mighty ways to reach and touch many lives that need to be transformed by Your Spirit. Lord protect Beth as she travels and fill her with peace about this experience. Place on her heart the message of Your grace that You want to tell others. Lord that You for her obeident heart that is willing to follow Your leading no matter what it is You call her to do for Your kingdom. May You bless her in all she does and continue to equip her to be used to spread Your grace to others. Thank you again Lord Jesus and I pray Your annointing on Beth this weekend. Oh Amanda! You just made my day! I had no idea I could watch the Wednesdays with Beth episodes online!!! I’ve tried to record them and watch them but I’m always missing a week here or there and it is so frustrating. In a day that has been filled with nothing but problems, this is a true bright spot!
I will definately be keeping Beth in my prayers. I so enjoy her teaching and the Wed w/ Beth episodes are how I found her in the first place. They have been an enormous blessing to me.
I’m going to be at both tapings and have already been covering it with prayer. Will continue to pray for Beth throughout the 5 sessions. It is intense, a good intense, as I’ve been privileged to attend several times in the past. But my goodness, the Holy Spirit is very present and His Word is effective! I take notes as fast as I can because the message is just what I had needed for that moment.
Looking so forward to His mighty presence as He speaks through Beth…in just a couple of hours.

Houston Siesta
Hi, Siestas! It’s me. Your Mama. (That made me laugh. I don’t know why.) I just got on-line for a few minutes and was so happy to see this post. To tell you the truth, if I weren’t so desperate for prayer, I wouldn’t have let anything distract from Amanda’s post on Hurricane Hell for at least a few more days. Incredibly powerful. I got right down on my knees after I read it and asked God to save some LIVES through it. I thought to myself how sometimes God sends you to India to share the Gospel and sometimes He just sends you to your den with your computer. Amazing days we live in. What mercy of God that so many avenues have been opened – stones rolled away – to share Jesus Christ in such perilous times!
Well, I’m sitting in my hotel room. After I checked in, I glanced at my room number as I headed to the elevator and it was 633. I thought, “Yea! Matthew 6:33!” Do y’all do that? When I see a series of numbers, I try to think what verse they could be. What a weirdo.
It’s an hour and a half before the good folks from Life Outreach pick me up. I can’t wait to tell them what you darling siestas did with the proceeds from the cookbook. They will be so blessed!Just ate a huge plate of pasta because I won’t really be able to relax enough to eat much again until the taping is over. Looking so forward to the group God will gather for this series of messages. I so appreciate your prayers. Need ’em. Want ’em. Receive ’em. Pray for a J-E-S-U-S SHOW.
And pray for me to love Jesus more than anything in this entire world. That is what I want more than my next breath. In fact, I pray that for all of us right now. A fresh surge of affection for the King of Creation.

My husband and I watch Life Today – Wednesday’s With Beth every Wed. evening after church. We are so blessed each week and it’s so special that we are able to watch it together. It’s something we both look forward to.
I’ve enjoyed Beth’s studies for years with my ladies group and have attended numerous conferences and now he is able to watch and learn from her teachings as well.
It’s a great outreach!
I know it’s intense for her and I do lift her up in prayer often.
This last Wednesday’s lesson had me (and several members in the audience I noticed) in tears. She’s just such a great teacher.

It was on Life Today that I first found Beth, I am pleased that I can pray for her, and her audience.
Precious Jesus may many more women happen on a wednesday on Life Today and find our much loved Siesta Mama. May the Spirit move in a powerful way that only through God can penetrate through the camera lens to the many watching. Lord, many of us have been touched by Beth, we love her oh so much, but You love her even more so we ask you to take care of her for us this weekend. Give her rest when she has the time, give her peace in the quiet, give her words when she is teaching, and pour out Your love on her. I love to watch Beth anytime but especially on Wednesday nights @ 8:30 (my time 🙂 b/c my husband is with me. He loves Beth too and we both always learn and then have the best discussions about the teaching. It’s cool b/c he only knew of Beth from hearing me repeat her and now Eric gets to experience God’s power and message thru our Momma Siesta.
I’ll be in prayer continually tonight and tomorrow. May God abundantly grace Beth, the support crew, camera operators, sound operators, EVERYONE with His apparent presence and His power. Lord, fill every need before they even realize it was a need. Work out every detail in advance as only You can. Be powerful in that place, Lord.

Much as I would love to be there and know how incredible it will be, it’s just not “my turn,” and there is such peace in knowing that I’m NOT where I’m not supposed to be tonight. 🙂 Wasn’t even making the connection when I logged on here to see what’s new, but now I see that I can be right on time with my prayers. I’m honored to know she’s taping right now and will lift her and the studio audience up all weekend. I can’t tell you how MANY times I’ve peeked in on a Life Today on Wed and whatever she’s talking about (from God only knows how long ago she taped it) EXACTLY fits a circumstance or even down to a bible study passage I’m on at that very time. It truly has AMAZED me at least a half dozen times like this.
That is just God.
Can’t be any other thing or person.
So I’m on my knees for her and what God is laying on her heart for this message series.
