Hi everyone! The LPM blog is going to be on hiatus for a few days while the Moore-Jones clan attempts to travel to the ranch for the weekend. I say “attempts” because I am so nervous about the traffic! My parents were already planning on going and we have decided to join them in view of Hurricane Ike heading this way. FYI, LPM and all our staff are located a safe distance from the coast, but the danger for those of us on this side of town, assuming it hits close to Houston, will be high winds. I think most people are riding it out. Everyone on the Texas coast appreciates your prayers. We love you girls and we’ll be back soon!
Love,
Amanda
PS – Bible study went great! We are really excited about our group. Thanks for praying on Tuesday!
Hang in there, ya’ll! One thing I remember about Houston was that Houston traffic was always a bear…. I will keep you in prayer… for protection and safety, both on the road and at your destination at the ranch… for courage to face whatever mess that Ike leaves behind… and for a peace that passes all understanding to guard some pretty fearful hearts right now.
Know you are loved! ๐
If you decide you need to get further away from the coast, y’all can come to my house!
Started praying for y'all this morning when I heard the forcasts. We love you all to pieces.

Everytime I see the projected path of Ike, I always stop and pray for y’all (which tends to be a lot since I loooove the Weather Channel!). I hope God gives much needed rain and not a lot of damages. Stay safe on the road and have some relaxing family time so y’all can come back and blog about the LIT study!

Will be praying!
I have had you all SO on my heart!

Been praying, am praying, will pray!! Love you guys.

Be safe. You all have been on my mind this week with Texas being mentioned so much by the weather folks. Praying for your safety and a blessed weekend with you family.
Your are in our prayers,

Thank you for the update because I was wondering if Ike would be in your path.
Drive safely!
Love,
Yolanda
Have a great trip! I am so glad the Bible study went well. We meet for a Wising Up group the night before and it went absolutely awesome! Sounds like it will be a great season of Bible studies.
To all my siestas in Ike’s path, I lieft you up in prayer.
i’ve been watching the progression of Ike and keeping all at Living Proof in my prayers, along with the other citizens of the TX coast who will be affected by this thing. This FL girl certainly understands the whole hurricane deal! Blessings to you all!
I came on the blog this morning to see what you guys were going to do. I will be praying you and all that is yours is kept safe.

My kids are headed out of Galveston, I am moved with compassion for families that do not have any real options. Let us all lift up those locked in poverty and having no where to go. They live in a whole different reality than ours. Shalom,

I’m praying for safety for everyone in Ike’s path. I’ll pray for safe travel for all of you as well. Let us know how you’re doing as soon as possible next week!
Just weathered Gustav in Baton Rouge, LA, and it was nothing to sneeze at! I have been thinking about you all and am so happy to hear that you will be out of harm’s way as Ike blows into town. Beth, all of us here so appreciated your thoughts and prayers as Gustav payed us a visit. Please know that we are on our knees for all of you now! Take care and be safe as you travel. May God protect all those involved before, during, AND after this powerful storm passes. With love and many prayers, Suzanne
You all have been in our thoughts and prayers all day….and we will continue to pray until Ike is no longer a threat. Hope you have some great family time at the ranch!
I don’t think anyone likes Ike. Stay safe. We’re having fun at the fair this weekend. Chloe and I already went with a friend this afternoon for a preview. It should be lots of fun. I hope you guys have fun on the ranch. I have no doubt you will have fun. I read the post from Edouard.
I’m glad to hear you’re headin’ for the hills! We arrived in College Station on Monday and have decided that we “don’t like Ike” either! I was 10 when Hurricane Carla hit–I remember it like it was yesterday.
The people here have been fabulous and extremely helpful. We met a lady in the grocery line this morning that offered to give us our phone number in case we needed anything! Mind you, she had a grocery cart full to feed the 20 members of her family coming from Houston!! That’s what I love about this place–always helping each other!
Travel safe and hopefully, your Dad packed the spade to go with the Blue Bell!!
Love y’all, Bobbie
I’m asking the Lord to give you all a wonderful time on that ranch. ๐ Maybe this is His way of forcing a little rest???? Wait a minute, you have a two year old. On a ranch. Forget that rest part!!
Blessings,
steph.
Yall are in my thoughts and prayers. Safe travels and try not to have too many laughs all together too!!!
Enjoy your Hurricane Party…we’ll be praying you get safely out of town and will look forward to your stories next week! Enjoy your time away together and have fun with the pups in the car! Jackson will love that!
We will be praying for your safety and well-being
Moore & Jones Families —
Be safe, stay dry, and remember we're praying for you. Enjoy this time at the ranch.
Thank you for the update Amanda.
I have been praying for y’all on and off all day – watching the weather channel.
We love you –

Dear Amanda,
Drive safely. I’m staying in Houston. This is my first hurricane, and I’m anxious. I appreciate all the siesta’s prayers.
When you grow up in tornado alley, this hurricane thing is different. We’d hear there’s a tornado coming, head to the basement for a bit, and it’s over.
With hurricanes, it’s days of talk, speculation, get ready, be prepared, and then it comes or doesn’t. It just drags on and on. It’s unnerving.
I feel so for the handicapped, sick and elderly.
I pray that the good Lord keeps us all safe, and Ike loses his energy in the gulf tomorrow before he reaches Galvaston.
Praying for the Texas coastline and inland.
Have safe travels and enjoy some time with the folks.
Hugs and blessings.

Praying for you all from Oklahoma!!!
Love,
Susan
Hope all goes well for you. Gustav came our way last weekend. I say that as I now need a new roof, and living room floor, not to mention the brand new water spot on my ceiling in the kitchen. ๐ Hope you fare better, although it could definitely have been worse. God Bless.
Praying for all of you to stay safe during this.
Love

I will be praying for all of you. I live in NE Louisiana and we were hit hard from Gustav with flooding and don’t need any more rain. Have a great time just being together.
Transformed by His Power,
Beth H.
Glad to hear that you all are heading out of there. I pray the traffic isn’t too bad.
Take good care.

Praying for you all, safety, protection, and a sense of God’s Sovereign hand. I have memories of 9/11 today, as we all think back to 7 years ago…my daughter was in Washington DC, she was a brand new 16 year old Page in the basement of the Capitol, and was told to get out of the building. When she went out, she saw the smoke from the Pentagon… a dreadful sight I think back and can only say, Thank you O Lord for your Sovereign hand. take care…pam in san diego
Hi. I am new to this blog thing so I’m not sure I’m doing this right :(. I just have a word translation guestions. I am a small group leader in at my church and we are the “A heart like his” study. Last week we read the section in 1 Samual 15 where God said he “grieved” or “regret” having made Saul king over his people. There was questions on how could God have regret? I tried looking up the word in my Strong’s dictionary of Bible words but I’m not finding a word that fits. Can someone please help me find the Hebrew word and definition. I’m sure the original language will be very helpful in answering the question. Thanks so much
Praying for all who may be in harm’s way. All of our LPM and Moore/Jones buddies are in our prayers. Be safe in God’s shelter and protection.
Oh please, please be safe, especially with little fig! God bless and safe travel.
Prayers,
DQ Nana
praying for your safety and all my other friends in Houston area.
I will be praying for ya’ll in Texas and also our brothers and sisters south of the border. They do not have the resources we have here in the us. They certainly expect this to be a bad storm. My brother works for ATT in STL and they sent a crew of 30 men with generators and other equipment yesterday to a staging area in Houston.
Don’t forget your snake boots if you are headed to the ranch.
May the Lord put a hedge of protection around your family and loved ones….
Whew! I have been checking this blog for several days hoping to find a blog telling us you guys were getting out of town!
Be safe our prayers are with all in it’s path! Wow what a mighty GOD!
From a former Louisiana dweller…praying for ya’ll.
Journeying mercies for all of you.
Vickie
We’ll keep you, your family and those still in Houston in our prayers!

You’re the first people I thought of when they said Ike was headed toward Houston! Praying for the Ike to weaken and for all to stay safe!
I am taking a group of 18 ladies to Gatlinburg to do the Loving Well retreat this weekend. We will be on our knees lifting y’all up to our Precious Lord Jesus! We will also pray for those who have chosen to stay behind. May God surround them with His Angels! We love you all!
My prayers are with you and your state. Stay safe.
