It’s our fearless leader’s birthday! Thank You, Lord, for my mom’s sweet life and for the work you have done and are doing through her. Thank you for the selfless, loving, wise mother she is. I pray you would bless her with abounding joy on this day and in the next year to come. Amen! Happy birthday, Mama!

As I work through Beloved Disciple: Being 41 and frustratingly single, I never know how to feel at weddings. In your Intro., I just realized the joy of rejoicing with another part of the body. I will probably never marry, but everything isn't about me, me, me. I have enough joy. I'm glad for you. I know Curt and Amanda's wedding was awhile ago, but, Beth, . . . back shortly after my birth into the Father's kingdom, I found myself reading textbook after textbook about my disorder. They said that people like me never grow. I'll try not to be like Bill Murray's character in "What About Bob?" But, thank you for your guidance through all these little baby steps. I just can't seem to outgrow the need to say "thank you."

Happy Birthday Beth…my oldest brother …and secretly kinda my favorite one… : ) (I love you too John & Scott!) – would have been the big 5-0 today. Losing him in 1994 was one of the great sadnesses in my life… and I am smiling — as finding your ministry and Bible studies this year, has been one of my greatest joys. Just yesterday I was watching my online Believing God session thinking that you sooo reminded me of my late brother Tom. Laughter, energy, and a passion for Jesus…And then to see today that you share his birthday… a shared smile with Jesus.
So Happy Birthday Beth… a big sister – siesta – in the Spirit. Missing my big brother something awful, but I thank God for you today!

Happy Birthday to my dear friend and spiritual mentor! I hope you and all the staff got to go out to lunch and do something fun! I love you so much and am so grateful for the long, arduous, joyful, tearful, etc. hours that we have spent together studying God's word. You helped me step into my calling and have watered the seed of the love of God's own Word so deeply into my being, that I cannot separate myself from them.
Jeremiah 20:9b says,
"His Word is in my heart like a burning fire, shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in, indeed I cannot!" This love (and the ability to bring it to mind) was given as a gift from God to me, but it has so grown under your teaching because I see the love so deeply of it in you, and because of your teaching, have learned to apply the power of it on my own life with more amazing results than I could ever dream. Thank you for loving Him and His Word so much, and for teaching this hungry, thirsty, soul how to dig for Water. I love you very much and pray for you all the time.

I went searching for a birthday verse for you… you know, a chapter 6 verse 16 somewhere. Well, I switched them and ran across Psalm 16 and it totally reminded of you, especially since I just finished the Esther study! So verses 5-6 are my prayer and praise for you today: Lord, I praise you for allowing my life to be touched by Beth's portion and her cup; you have made her lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for her in pleasant places; may she rejoice in her delightful inheritance!
