God is so good! Today we celebrated the 25th and 50th anniversary of religious life for three of our sisters in the convent. It was a day of great thanksgiving. Glad that things are going well for your mom – we will keep praying!

Had a prayer answered myself today. I prayed “Please Jesus help me” & immediately that stopped up commode I had been plunging off & on all afternoon got unstopped. Not sure if it was because I said it in a whiny voice & He didn’t want to have to listen to that any more or because He took pity me or because I finally called out to Him. What ever, it felt like a miracle to me!!! Praise the Lord!!!

Beth…I have to tell you I am a Houstonian..grew up here…blah blah blah. I have gone to church here all my life…Second Baptist, now Williams Trace Baptist. For SOOOO many years I would hear people talk about you…Beth Moore this, Beth Moore that… have I done a Beth Moore study? (no, I would nod) No, haven’t. Huh, you have? OK…I get it you loved her and the study ok ok ok. Beth Moore on and on. I would not say, but would think to self …what is the big deal??? How can one girl and her studies be so chat worthy??? I have to say I had sort of an eye rolling attitude. I heard you speak at your dad’s funeral at our church (my husband sang btw) and you were fun to listen to and darling to look at…but still I wondered (and scoffed) when people foamed at the mouth about Beth Moore Beth Moore. UNTIL NOW BETH MOORE. I just completed “Living Beyond Yourself” with a group of women at my church. NOW I GET IT. OH MY! WOMAN. I cannot cannot cannot tell you how I enjoyed that study. Loved the homework, loved the video, loved it ALL. In the middle of that I hauled my 21 year old daughter over to First Baptist to hear a session of Breaking Free…we both loved it and Beth this daughter, well, it was so awesome that she agreed to go. Anyhoo BETH MOORE… I just had to tell you my story. I have a dear dear friend and we call each other WUH, short for WOMAN. Wuh is our all encompassing word for women that we could be friends with “she’s definetely a wuh” we say. OR NOPE, not a wuh, she’s too this or that….but just so you know, YOU are a wuh. I am leading the Patriarchs in the fall…And now that I am on the BETH MOORE bandwagon I want to work for you, be on your praise team, read every book, girl I am a fan. Your willingness to submit to God in ministry has His annointing all over it. God bless you in all that you do. Here’s the query: if there was a group of ladies – most of them a bit older, say in their 60’s – who were going to do a Bible study written by Beth – and if these ladies by and large were relatively new belivers, which study would you – and maybe other Siestas – recommend?

The only way to get yourself out of the fog is to rise above it!
I highly recommend learning how to TEXT MESSAGE if your child is atleast a teenager.
You will be amazed at how quickly they respond to you! Also,
I recommend that all of us teach our children budgeting skills and dating skills. Children learn how to Read,Write,Math,but don’t learn the skills of dating and money!
My husband and I have been teaching these skills for many years at NO CHARGE! My husband owned a National Bank and also Produced and Directed for FOX!
We began teaching our children money skills when they were toddlers and able to put money in the offering plate at church. We had 3 little jars for them.
(1) GOD MONEY ~ tithe
(2) SPENDING
(3) SAVING
we gave them 3 quarters every Friday morning and explained how each quarter would grow if they were good stewards of their money.
they are now at universities studying law and medicine.
Dave and I taught our friends and churches around the state how to use a budget ” we call it” the envelope system. IT WORKS SIESTAS!!!
Cell Phones & Text messaging can become PRICEY if you don’t set a standard.
There is hope in your future if God is in your present!
Be a good steward of your family, money and cell phones!

Praise God! In NC, we have been praying for rain, so it has felt weird to be praying for no rain for your Mom! But God has answered our prayers in both locations: It rained all night here in NC, and no rain where your Mama is! Only God is worthy to be praised!!!!
I am so happy that the first day went well and clearly had God’s finger print on the whole day. It’s raining here in SC where I live. So…praying that the second day is just as good for your Mom. I can’t wait to see the videos and to think my prayers had a small inpact! PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM!!!!
