I LOVE FALL. I love everything about it. I practically grin in my sleep this time of year. And I love y’all. So today I’m putting those loves together for an Autumn giveaway! Fall is such a beautiful, colorful time of year. Inevitably my attention is drawn to our Father and Creator in praise.

I have always loved fall. Over the years, however, it has become quite a mixed bag of love and sad memories. I love the smells of autumn in the air and the cool breeze, the smell of apples and cinnamon and pumpkin. The beauty of the changing of the color of the leaves. Over the years however, these same things bring back memories of several major tragedies in my life, losing a baby who was born on my bday in Oct, my husband leaving years later in October, my dad diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in November and dying several months later, etc. However in the fall, I also remember God’s constant and unfailing love and provision for me over the years! He is Faithful!!

It’s taken me a while, but I’m slowly falling in love with Fall…if only winter didn’t come afterwards!
I love fall too, and although the temperatures are still warm here in NC, I started making pumpkin dishes weeks ago about the time I decorated the house. Thanks for all you do all year to bless and uplift us, and what a nice treat to see the giveaway this morning!

These items are so adorable! I live just a little north of Athens, GA, so we get a little taste of each season. I love it how God makes each season unique. He could have made every time under the sun be the same, but instead He chose to bless us with the variety. Just when I get used to one season, the next comes along. It keeps things fresh. Such a blessing. 🙂

This seems like a great opportunity to tell you that I am doing Breaking Free for the 2nd time. I evidently wasn’t ready for it 6 years ago because it kind of fell flat and I smugly thought- I am fine…. I am not really in bondage to anything, but I am sure this is a great Bible study for those who are. Denial has always been my best coping mechanism. Well, the Holy Spirit has opened my eyes and I now see all the things that have been holding me captive. I am believing for Freedom and an abundant life as I work though all this junk.

I too love fall because it gets dark earlier so my family always gathered earlier to spend more time together. The sounds of homework being done, the smells of supper cooking, and then hearing the voices of those gathered at the table sharing a prayer, food, and details of each family member’s day. What a blessing!

As a New Orleans native who lived in Colorado for 28 years before moving to Houston last year, I can now just enjoy fall again and don’t have to fear what comes next… WINTER! So happy to be back in the South!
Fall is my favorite time of the year. Thankful for the many blessings God has given me, you and your ministry being one of them.
