Yes! To all the above :))
Lately I’ve been using Saturdays to fellowship with God. I pray and read the Bible the rest of the week as well but I’m trying to devote more time on that on Saturday so I can get closer to God. I’m feeling more blessed for it. I’m not doing this nearly as well as I should but even the little that I am has given me more peace. I was feeling chaotic and guilty before; and what could I do with that but take it to God in prayer? Thank God for Him.
Saturdays are for:
Double Headers regardless of how cold it may beβ¦β¦. (my husband is the baseball coach at a University in Montgomery). And, let me assure you that being a coaches wife is a whole lot harder than being a coach myself!!!!

Saturdays are for working from home when necessary, which is better than the office because I can work from the comfort of my sofa and watch TV. During a sadly too short season, Saturdays are for college football. Saturdays are for chatting with or getting together with friends. When I don’t have to work or study, sometimes Saturdays are for sleeping until I wake up on my own, without the alarm clock!

Seems every Saturday is different. Usually a catch all day…catch up on loose ends, odd chores, sometimes go into office with husband. Sometimes preparation for function need to attend that evening. Afternoon rest or read. Panera bagel and coffee run for breakfast is a favorite. Sharing caring walks with husband on beach another favorite. DINNER with other couples n FRIENDS and sometimes followed with group prayers. Time to connect with husband and or children when they are in town is a highlight favorite.

Saturdays are for going to a nice movie with my family and then going out to dinner.
Saturday mornings are usually filled with the tradition of fixing pancakes for my hubby and three sons (2 of them come home for them). Then it is a day my husband and I like to run errands together.
But today is different. It’s my 55th so I’m excited I get the Belk Dept. store 20% senior discount on Tuesdays now. And of course, I’m going to have my gray colored this morning! My husband is at a Johnny Hunt Men’s conference. What a great gift it will be to have him come home refreshed in the Lord this afternoon!
Saturdays are for family group. Its like church but real informal.
Right now, Saturdays are for taking our beekeeping classes to be certified in keeping bees. …grin…
After that, Saturdays are for getting the house ready to sell and thanking God that he has provided, even though my hubby lost his job and started a new one with much less pay.
Saturdays are for looking around at this big house we’re selling, that’s full of stuff I don’t need, and praising God for teaching me my security is in HIM and nothing else. Feeling loved and free on this Saturday.
Love ya’ll. π
Saturdays are for…SINGING!! My husband works every other Sat. morning for just a few hours. On those Saturdays, I crank up about 3 radios in different rooms and belt out my praise songs to the Lord while dancing all about. Only my Bible study and reading time compares to the joy I receive during these times. I LOVE singing to the Lord! (Hence my email address…..ha) Should I mention here that I am 61 years old?? Thank you, Lord, for creating music– it feeds my soul, and I pray it brings glory to YOU.
I with you, Vicki, on the singing (and the age)! I’m a great “joyful-noise” singer, but I know that when my singing reaches His ears, it’s perfect. Gives me incredible joy to praise our LORD in song, and I like to think that it makes Him smile.
Oldest-ACT test, middle-friend sleeping over, youngest-basketball game, my husband-working, as for me- I’m going to be a Taxi some, make dinner for a friend, hop in my tub and turn my beach waves sound machine on and read a good book like I’m on a beach vacation somewhere warm until someone needs a ride somewhere or wants to play a game of cards and then I’ll hop out and be Mom some more. π For now I’ve got a cup of coffee and a bible study with my name all over it.
Blessings~
Saturdays are for : football– but, sadly, that is over :(. But they are also for preparing my Cubbies lesson (ages 3 and 4) and preparing for Sunday’s worship. And catching up on housework and laundry. And always baking/cooking– I prefer the former vs the latter. π

Bag of dog food sits in between us, with a silver dog bowl, a bottle of water, make-up bag with small mirror (4get it), a mug of coffee between legs (forget about trying to find the cup holders

Hey Lindsee,
Sorry, it cut off half of what I had written out, and had a small “thanks” to you for making this a fun Saturday. Just 4get what else was written… N the position I’m in it took more than patience to write it out. It did have some funnies in it though. Just wanted to let y know something clipped off more than half of the comment. Maybe I went over? Or, maybe it just wasn’t God’s will
Lindsee,
Just to let you know tried to thank you again, and also agreed that Saturdays are for the hopeful promise of the following LORD’S DAY, when the body of Christ intimately gathers together to worship The Lord as one in Christ. I agreed with you on that one. Sorry for the blunders(a precious piece of me is raw to the numb, trying with all effort to shift, but am just stuck).
Saturdays are also for fun 5 hour trips w/the family (if you can tell between all my blundering efforts) without being able to move to even get out to go to the ladies room.
P.S. Found out I was being cut off at every emogen I used. Thought I had seen others use them b4. So it was my fault/mybad.
Thank you for making this Saturday trip a fun one. Praying you all have a glorious week-end!
Lindsee, I sent y one other comment, explaining what the problem was. Did y get it? Just wanted 2 let you know, that’s all. Bless you, dear one.

I moved to Charleston, SC to be closer to my sister who was diagnosis with Stage IV Melanoma in July 2011. God has granted us so much time together, especially “Sisters Saturday” mornings! We do all kinds of things, walks on the beach, rescuing plants off the Lowes clearance rack, rifling through Goodwills, just chill out on the couch in PJs…memories made, memories saved!! WE PRAISE KING JESUS FOR HIS CONTINUED HEALING OF JANIE, our blessings ABOUND!!!
Saturday’s are for waking up early(but later than the rest of the week) and having a quiet breakfast by myself for reflection before the rest of the house wakes up. π
For 30 years, as a full-time working mom/wife, Saturdays were chore/errand days. Made a point of getting it all done on Saturday so that my family could focus on the Lord in special ways on Sundays. Recently retired so the pressure of getting it all done on Saturday is gone…ahhhh! So…am busy transitioning into a much more relaxed lifestyle; and I love it. Praise to God for His provision for my life during those 30 years…and beyond.
