Looking for bible study. Husband involved in ” emotional cheating” situation . Discovered phone that was his from me where he and A “Christian” ” friend ” were talking without my knowledge. I would be at work he sits where she works when she works from 6 am to approx. 10:00 am . When I discovered the phone he purchased specifically to talk to her he moved out and moved in with his sister. Two wks before our 35th wedding anniversary, I was talking to him on the phone. He stated he and I were just friends. I tried to explained to him that he had betrayed that friendship first. I told he have to chose between he friendship with her or me. He went the following day on a Sunday to a lawyers home and filed for divorce. The ” friend” he involved with is married, has two children and they both claim that all they have is a ” friendship”. I feel betrayed , defeated, and sometimes I wonder if God is hearing my prayers. What lesson is he trying to teach me? I have been told that this is all in my head ( even tho my husband admitted his feeling for her were stronger than that as a friend ) . His mother passed away in jan, 2013 and I felt like he would have preferred that it would have been me. In some ways he made me feel like I was responsible for something. I am sorry . Did not mean to dump this on you. They keep telling me there is no such thing as ” emotional cheating and all this was or I’d my head. All I know is my best friend of 35 yrs has just decided he didn’t care for me, and has treated with total inconsideration and disrespect since feb. I keep asking him what I did to him or her to deserve this treatment and their disrespect. I get no answers . At this time I have very little self respect. My husband belongs to a church here, the pastor told he could not talk to him unless my husband approached him to talk. I am sorry . I should not have sent this, I just need God to help me.
