Passion 2012 Prayer Partners

*UPDATE: Ladies, I logged on real quick this morning to see how many girls needed prayer partners still, and to my surprise, the number ZERO appeared! It has been less than 24 hours and every single girl has been adopted for prayer. (Thank you, Beth, for putting it that way!) You ladies never cease to amaze us and we are beyond grateful for you. For those of you that are still wanting to participate, read through some of the comments and pray for some girls that have been listed there. Some other girls that haven’t received a scholarship might even pop on and you could adopt them! We love you! Thanks be to our God!

Good morning, Siestas! Can you believe we’re only three days away from Christmas? It has been pretty busy around LPM as we shut down the ministry for Christmas, but we also want to make sure we have everything ready to go for the New Year.

However, before Christmas gets completely past us, I wanted to bring your attention back to Passion 2012. Do you remember when we were able to give out scholarships to 1000 young women to attend the conference? Well, it was our desire that, after giving out each of the scholarships, we could rally together 1000 Siestas (you!) to partner with each of these girls and pray for them. So, I am thrilled to announce that we have our website up and running to make that happen.

Here is what you need to do: Click on this link: http://lproof.org/passion2012/prayer.aspx.

When you get to that page, the instructions are very clear how you can receive the name of the girl you will be praying for.

Here’s why we need to bounce on this with both feet: Passion is January 2nd – 5th so it’s coming up very quick! If you could take five minutes to do that, we would appreciate you more than you know and some wonderful young woman’s experience at Passion may be altogether intensified. You might put her name in your phone every day as a reminder to pray for her before, during and after Passion.

We love you ladies so much and hope you know what a vital part you’re playing in each of these girls’ lives. Let’s make sure each of them are lavishly covered by name. We know the Lord will show up and can’t wait to see lives changed and transformed. I am sure when we get back we’ll have a tremendous report for you. I know you’ll want to hear all about it!

Thank you, thank you for partnering with us and praying. We love you all so much!

What an awesome idea. I’ve just signed up to cover some ladies in prayer over the coming weeks (months, years even?!). May God be glorified in our praying and His Kingdom advanced through these dear ones of the next generation!

    Lindsee,

My daughter, Mauri Grace, received a ticket from the ministry along with four college friends. God blessed her with the ticket as well as my sister found a home for all five girls to stay during Passion so that cut the cost even more. However, three of the girls have dropped out and the one girl who can go lives 9 hours away from us in Houston and will probably ride and stay with a church from that area. We are 12 hours away from the event. Please join us in praying God will work out the details for Mauri Grace to attend. Thank you so much!

      Shelley/Lindsee,
Just an FYI regarding girls who received the scholarship but are now unable to attend. I called Passion and was told that the registration CAN BE TRANSFERRED to another student.
I know that you mentioned, Shelley, that 3 girls have dropped out? Do you know if the scholarships have been given to another eligible student? Just thought I would pass the info along, so as to make sure that LPM’s amazing generosity and obedience would not be wasted.
If you need the contact email for the Passion staff member who can make the switch, I can post it.

I am so excited about this opportunity! This year is the first time in two years that I won’t be attending Passion. My sister and three of my best friends will be there so I picked 4 other young women to pray for, one for each of them! I’m so grateful for Passion’s ministry and trusting the the Lord will do a huge work in my girls’ lives through it, just as He used it in mine!

    I love you guys…

It is an honor to be asked to pray for these beautiful young women. I am saddened to see our Scripture Memory Team come to an end. I will think of all Siestas with fondness on the 1st and 15th of each month going forward. I will be unable to attend the Siestas get together with Beth, but I will hold each and every attendee up in prayer. What a gathering of Godly women that will be!! Thank you, Beth, for all you and your team at LPM do for all of us! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all Siestas. Sending many blessings and much love across the miles, Barb, Lakewood, CO.

    Courtney says:

    Hey Lindsee,
Question: One of the girls who received the scholarship is unable to attend Passion now for unexpected reasons. I wanted to know what to do–I don’t want to waste the scholarship!! Please let me know if I should call LPM.
AND SIESTA LADIES–I have a similar request to the one asked of us! I am volunteering at Passion as an intercessor (the conference has 24 hour prayer on site). We are instructed to ask 4-5 other intercessors to cover us while we are there. Well, if I could ask you all to pray, that would be a neat way to partner on our Siesta community!
    Thanks,
    Courtney

      Lindsee says:

Hey Courtney, at this point, the easiest thing you could do is contact Passion to let them know of the girl that can no longer go. Thanks, Sister!

      • Michelle says:

        Hi Lindsee,

One of the Siestas posted about the Siesta Scripture Memory Team coming to an end. Is Beth going to continue to it in 2012. I know that spirals were not made for 2012. I pray that we will all continue because it has changed my life, mostly my mind 🙂 Merry Christmas sweet thing! Looking forward to meeting you at the celebration

        • Lindsee says:

Hi Michelle, we will not be doing scripture memory as a blog community in 2012, but by all means, get another sister and do it with her as accountability. And check back with us in 2013! Blessings!

      Hi Courtney,
I have your name written in my prayer journal and will be standing in the gap for you during the conference as the Holy Spirit brings your name to remembrance. Praying now that God will strengthen you with might through His Spirit in your inner being, that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith. (Ehpesians 3:16-17 NKJ)

I, along with several of my friends, received an LPM scholarship, and I cannot express how much of a blessing it has been to all of us. Now to have other Siestas pray for each one of us attending is amazing. I sit here counting down the days until Passion (11), and I’m praying everyday God would reveal Himself to each student there in powerful ways throughout the entire conference. Thank you, Siestas, for praying for each scholarship attendee. I know that I am forever grateful for each prayer! May God bless each of you tremendously!

I always said that if I ever had a daughter I would name her Shelby, that was until I married a man with the last name Elswick! Come on now, say it in your best Southern drawl…Shelby Elswick….sounds like a country singer if I ever heard one! Ugh….

So, this is the Lord allowing me to pray for my sweet Shelby that I’ll hopefully get to squeeze in Glory someday! He just cracks me up!!! Thanks for this joy LPM!
