**Siesta Celebration is January 20-21, 2012**
Hey Sweet Things!
We’ve made it to September 1st! That is great news for those of us who live in 3-digit temperatures for most of August! It won’t be an eternity before cool breezes start blowing golden leaves off the trees. I love Autumn best of all seasons. Bring it on, Jesus! September 1st is also great news for those of us planning to attend our SSMT Grand Celebration in January! We’re getting closer and closer to our big weekend. I hope so much that many of you will be able to come. We at LPM are making big plans toward it. Travis will be there to lead us in worship and he and I talked last weekend in Salt Lake City about how we can hardly wait.
Since my last post went on…and on…and on…and on, I will keep this one short and sweet. I don’t think I’ve ever relished my memory work more than this year. God has caused the Scriptures in my bones to spring to life in my heart these last 8 months and I pray that the same is true for you. Here’s mine this time around:
Beth, Houston. “Dear friends, I urge you as foreigners and exiles to keep away from fleshly desires that do battle against the soul, and maintain good conduct among the non-Christians, so that though they now malign you as wrongdoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God when He appears.” 1 Peter 2:11-12 The NET Bible.
I’m crazy about you guys! Keep hiding those Scriptures in your heart. THEY MATTER.
And you matter. You are so deeply loved by the Lord Jesus. May He reveal Himself to you this day.
Jennifer, Mansfield, TX
“Listen to me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you will have it. But, when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in Heaven will forgive your sins, too.”

And the Lord direct your heart into the love of God and into the patient waiting for Christ. 2 Thes.3:5
Natalie, Indialantic FL “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,my God, in whom I trust.” NIV
Please pray for my sister-in-love, Sally as she is undergoing surgery for cancer in her spleen, pancreas and lung. She will have her spleen removed and most of her pancreas as soon as she is strong enough for the surgery. She has 3 young children and great faith in God’s plan for her but fears for her children. Please pray!

Janice, Arcanum, OH: The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice. Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult. An honest witness tells the truth, but a false witness tells lies. The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Matthew 5:43-48 NIV
You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

James 1:5-8 NIV
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.
