Thank you for your prayers, my dear sisters! No news yet on whether or not Curtis might be able to come home tomorrow. We’re so hoping he will. His parents have already begun their long trek south from Missouri. They will drive late into the night, check into a hotel, then get up early in the morning and drive the rest of the way into Houston. AJ just walked through the door of her house and I’m about to pack up my car and head home to my man. Yes, he’s back. Jackson got to have a blast with him tonight. He needed some man time in the worst way.
I got a little more preparation for Saturday’s simulcast done during nap/rest time today and will turn my attentions to it completely first thing in the morning. Thank goodness, it doesn’t start on Friday night like a regular LPL would. You’ll know I didn’t get all my preparation accomplished if I resort to reading “Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs” as an illustration. Please have my back on it though. Turn to the woman sitting next to you, nod, and say, “Inspired!” I could also run through all the animal sounds I’ve perfected into an art form in order to keep Annabeth awake in the car until we made it home for naptime.
OK, signing off and heading home! Btw, did you guys know that Travis will be joining us this weekend? You don’t really think I’d try serving you without him, did you?
I’ll talk to you soon!
Beth,
You are such an amazing woman, lovely Sister-in-Christ, Mother, Grandmother, and wife. You are loved! Looking forward to Atlanta and I’m heading that direction, beginning today, from Southwest Kansas.
Praying for you and your family, as well as Travis.
Siesta’s you are the best Girlfriends in the whole wide world.
Lovingly,
Yolanda
Beth- I almost spit out my chai tea latte when I read “Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs”. Too funny. I’m not going to be at the event but PLEASE, PLEASE go thru the animal noises. The women will LOVE it!! Can’t help but marvel that it doesn’t start on Friday like normal…………..God knew, didn’t He? 🙂
Can’t wait ’till you come to Lexington in August.
Good Luck and I’m praying for Curtis.
***Me Practicing*** “Oh, did you hear that, I am sure that was a line from Cloudy with a chance of meatballs! God surely has inspired Beth, what a blessing!!” **followed by exuberant clapping***
How was that?? not too over the top is it?
Siesta Momma, I know that God is going to inspire you in a million ways from now until Saturday. It is too important of a subject. The Holy Spirit super natural power will be all over it. Praise God! And praise God for you Miss Beth for taking this on. The book has been an absolute blessing, I can not wait for Saturday!!
Can’t wait to be there!
Beth,
Praying that Curtis will come home today, and that his parents have safe travel! Praying also for safe travel for you and Travis’ team! How’s your toe? We love you so much! We will not leave you hanging, of course we’ll have your back! Have a wonderful day! Joan
Many many prayers sent up on your behalf….covering the entire family! 🙂
Beth: I am praying and believing God will meet us at every turn. You are so precious, and I just believe because you are ministering to your family with such dedication, God honors that and He will bring everything you’ve studied to your heart and mind and even beyond from the resources deep within!!!
I am so happy Travis is coming. I remember the last time we gathered at FBC Woodstock, GA for his live recording of “Jesus Saves.” Some special people stayed together at the Governor’s Mansion in Atlanta! Memories were made – friendships formed!
God bless you Bibby,
Gran Jan
PS: I bet my animal sounds are as good as yours – I love on a FARM! I challenge you to a contest!!!
I’ve been praying. Thankful that Curtis is doing well and his family is coming. I don’t care how old you are, you still want your mama when you’re sick! Wish I could have heard those animal sounds! I’m looking forward to Saturday. I get to experience the lesson with my daughter and a whole bunch of sistas!
Beth, we are so grateful to you for your faithfulness to God and to encourage, teach and exhort the saints. We are praying for your toe and FULL recovery for Curtis.
Grateful in KC
So excited. If you break out the book, I know you will have a new twist to it. Can’t wait. Safe travels for your team and healing for Curtis.
Jan
I will be praying for a quiet time for you and healing for Curtis. I have 3 young grandsons and know the joy of helping out. Thank you for your honesty and obvious care for us.
Still praying for Curtis and your family. I pray God gives you some STILL time so you can prepare for Saturday.
I’m from St. Louis, MO. Where does Curtis’s parents live in Missouri?
To all the ladies reading these today, I have prayed this morning that you all have a blessed day today.
I’m glad to hear that things are going better. I’ll pray that Curtis gets to come home and for your preparation. I know that God is going to show up in a mighty way.
Praying right here in Alpharetta, GA. And looking forward to seeing you in Woodstock on Saturday. I know that God is preparing a big Word for you to deliver from Him and I pray that all of your family will have peace (and healing for Curtis!) while you are here. Love you.
Beth, I’m currently leading the Bible study “Esther” here at work….we are in chapter 8 and today I’m finishing up day 5 – a time of happiness…I just felt impressed to stop my study long enough to write you a note to let you know what an impact your work for Christ has on not only me, but those in this study, and even the so many more…At times life does get hard, and I feel like I am losing hope, but I claim my HOPE is int he LORD!!! Thank you for being out there for the cause of Christ! Thank you listening to His calling and accepting it! Thank you for sharing with us laughter, after all it is the best medicine….and sharing in tears, they are sure cleansing, and for reminding all of us that we never have to leave the King’s presence. Praise His name!
YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! Glad Travis will be joining you and we can all sing animal sounds together… praising the Lord… praying for you and your family. I’ll see you on Saturday from Albuquerque, NM!!!
I know God is in control of everything! Curtis was serving Him-amazing how he got thru Sunday School, it must have been an awesome lesson! You are all such a family of servants of God!! I have no doubt that God will speak thru you on Saturday, Beth. I know sometimes you when you have spoken, you have said that what you prepared wasn’t the actual ‘lesson’ God spoke thru you at that moment. I know He is in this!!! (as I am sure you all do)
Dear Father, Thank you for healing Curtis. Thank you for the vision you have given him. Thank you for giving Amanda strength & peace thru this time of waiting. Thank you for the fact that family is there to help & support. Thank you for the time that ‘Bibby’ has had to bond with her grandbabies. Thank you for the way that you are pulling all of the family even closer together because of this. Thank you for the vision you have given Beth and the words you speak thru her. Thank you for healing Beth’s little toe. Thank you for the way her family supports her also. Thank you that you are far greater than the enemy. Continue to bless this whole situation and let your Glory be known in a mighty way because of it!
love to you all,
Barb
Praying for you, your family, and the So Long Insecurity team! Looking forward to this weekend, both to experience a live Beth Moore Bible study, and to spend some quality girl time with my daughter! Love & hugs to you! 🙂
Prayers for the Jones’ and Moore’s families. Also, prayers for Saturday…Can’t WAIT!
I am so excited….Travis on Saturday too!! I was trying not to get my hopes up. YEAH!
Dear Beth . . . this is just a little note of encouragement on a day when i think you will probably be working feverishly over the upcoming Saturday simulcast given all that has transpired in your life the past few weeks. You are such a blessing to so many women (and men, too, though they may not realize who is helping with the behind the scene changes in their women!). I have to admit, i’ve been a bit distracted the past few weeks from these posts . . . i’ve done my reading and highlighted my book, but not fully caught up my posts. I also have to say that–many months ago when the “shopping for a publisher” for this book was underway, I was very hopeful that y’all would pick one of the others you spoke with . . . that way i could have maybe met you at last in person. But God knew what He needed for this book and for you, and so our meeting will have to wait for another time. I have been one of your biggest proponents for many years . . . leading bible study groups to dig into the Word at your direction. You have impacted many women’s lives for His Glory and in the hopes that women would see themselves for the glorious creatures He has designed. Thank you for listening to His call on your life. Your and my backgrounds seem to share some of the most profound losses from youth and impacts on our young adulthood, and so your stories–delicately shared– have been of particular inspiration to me. Please walk forward boldly, Beth, knowing He is using you in mighty ways. And it is in HIS power that you will be able to prepare for this weekend. And how much more power do you need, Girl, than the power of the Mighty Creator! Blessings to you, Dear One, and to your entire family. My sister, Mindy, will be in your immediate auditorium in Atlanta, and I’ll be watching from Colorado Springs.
On a side note: Your blessed staff prayed for my neice, Madeline in Atlanta area, and her choice to keep a baby this past fall. In the middle of the potentially final appointment, Maddy’s little Madison kept repeating the words “baby, baby, baby” as if it were a mantra. Maddy gently laid down the paperwork, grabbed her little one’s hand, and walked out the door. We are all looking forward to welcoming baby Sophie into the family this June! Our prayers were answered, and your staff’s intecessory helped!! Again, thank you! Can’t wait to see you on the big screen and hear Travis again.
I have one question….I will not be able to attend the simulacast…(Darn it!) But I wanted to know will it be avaiable to download for later?
Missing You this weekend,
Amy Jo
Also…even thought not attending in person…I will be attending in Spirit..Praying for you and the whole group!
Amy JO
Of course we’ve got your back. We have been there, too! Looking forward to Saturday.
Still praying for all of you! God bless you and keep you. May the LORD’S face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
Much love from Alabama!
Love you and your family and praying for you all!
“Cloudy with a chance of meatballs”….oh, I’m sure you could even take that and make some profound spiritual impact with it!!!! The Lord uses anything and everything to get His point across.
Blessings to you, dear Beth!
Good job Bibby! Way to be there for your girl when she needed you the most! That’s what moms are for, even busy ones like you! Praying for an infusion of the Holy Spirit as you prepare and as you teach this Sat! Love you and thankful for you!
We have your back, your front and your entire being on this one. May God give you the words and actions that He would have you teach us.
Love you and your family our prayers are with you.

Praying for your family and that God will use you this weekend in a MIGHTY way. I am looking forward to it. As a new pastor’s wife, this is the first event I’ve organized for the ladies of our small church in Arkansas. We have 16 attending at a sister church about 2 hours away. Very excited. My two little ones have been sick so I’m praying for speedy recovery and that they do not ‘spread the love’.
God Bless,
Amber
I am so disappointed that I will not be able to attend a simulcast! Will you be making it available for purchase? When I started “…Insecurity”, I posted about you having written it just for me. It could not be a more perfect book for me. I honestly hate that I will not be able to finish it off with the simulcast. Please, please consider making it available!
Will be praying for the Joneses and your whole crew for the weekend.
Beth,
You and your family are in my prayers. Lean on Him. He is the Strong and Mighty Tower.
I am sorry Curtis is still not better. I am praying for you all. I am so disappointed I am not going to get to attend the simulcast. My daughter’s birthday party is that day. She is turning 13 on the 23rd( I can’t believe it). I know you guys are going to have a blast! Beth you will be awesome in spite of all that has been thrown at you lately! God is so AWESOME!
Beth,
I’m so disappointed 🙁
I purchased a ticket to this weekend’s simulcast months ago and have been counting down the days but last week my father had a stroke which has completely changed my plans. I’m now with him at the hopsital and driving back & forth to visit my mom who is in a nursing home. This season of life has been SO hard! The good news is my parents live in North Houston so I got to eat at Pappasito’s for the very first time last night. Yummy!!! It totally exceeded my expectations.
Although I won’t be able to attend the simulcast on Saturday, I’m definitely praying for you, Travis, the worship team, volunteers, and attendees. God is using all of you in such a powerful way to make Jesus famous in our world today!
Sweet blessings & Houston hugs,
Leah
Just want you to know we’re praying for Curtis that those antibiotics kick in and do their stuff and that Amanda is getting some good quality sleep at night. Also praying that the kids take their naps and have quiet spirits this week! Looking forward to Saturday. We have car loads driving to Denver and we’re all so excited. most of us read the book and those that haven’t can’t wait. I am going out to buy our youngest daughter the book this morning. She asked for it last night. I may need to buy these books by the boxfull! I’m thinking it would be a great thing for our neighborhood to study the book together.
Precious Beth,
May God keep you in perfect peace as you trust in Him. May His power be made strong in any area of weakness you have! May you remember, today, that you can do all things through Him who gives you strength!
God’s blessings on you this weekend!
Thank you for allowing (and blessing) us to share in your life! May this blessed Siesta community be a source of encouragement to you!
Beth, I continue to pray for you as you prepare for the weekend. Still praying for Curtis. I hope he is already home by the time this post hits the blog.
Love to all in the precious name of Jesus,
Mary

Looking forward to Prasing our Lord and hearing his word.
Thank you, Beth and family for all you do in serving our Lord and for bringing his mighty word to us.
See you on Sat
Blessing
Cynthia
We are praying for a quick and full recovery for Curtis…I’m sure you could find something inspiring about Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs…a life lesson in there someplace…We love you and can’t wait to “see” you on Saturday…God Bless you all
Btw,had to chuckle at the lady that is convinced that you do love us, Beth, because I think you do, too. Told my Believing God class that you do. Love you, too, Sher
I am sooo praying for everyone. This Saturday my daughter and I will be going to see Beth in the Niagara Region, Canada. It was a nice surprise from my dear hubby that he got us the tickets. The enemy has played with me so bad during this study. Making me so sick that I ended it up with the flu. Sorry, buddy, you picked the wrong weekend to make me ill. It just gave me time to finish the book. Now I am a little scared of how the program will go on Saturday because the book ripped me apart.
Beth, I broke my toe and foot (not at the same time), but I feel for you. And on top of that, your son-in-love is sick. If you are like me (cause your story is mine too), I know you are worrying crazy that everyone will be ok. But I know that the Lord is with you girl. Blessings for you and your family. Love you sister, Rebecca
I just had to chime in and say I am sorry your family is being tested, but seeing how each test you all pass, I am sure this one will be worth it’s salt too.
Friday night our group is doing our usual Saturday Morning Beth Moore BibleStudy so we can join in with the Simlucast on Saturday. So for our gang we are having a Beth Weekend and loving the whole prospect of being taught well, and loved well, and gathered in the Name of Jesus. We are half way through “A Woman’s Heart; God’s Dwelling Place” and I also do another study with a different group of ladies doing “Jesus the One and Only”. Girl you are such an inspiration to us all!
Praying for each one of the family and extended family to not just survive this test but to thrive!
God Bless each member (Little ones too)!
Diana
You have no idea how refreshing it is to imagine YOU living a chaotic, kid-filled life in the midst of trusting God to give you the prep time and peace of mind needed for Saturday’s Simulcast. I’m a worship pastor with two small girls, so I catch just a glimpse of what it’s like to juggle family and ministry. It’s easy to wrongly assume that a woman in your caliber of ministry gets the privilege of a well-ordered life! I see that I’m quite wrong and am thankful for your transparency to let us peek into the real life of Beth Moore.
Almost in tears. Not sure why. Just found this website and I’m sad I missed out on the ‘insecurity’ blog and won’t be able to go on Saturday. I feel like I am missing out on something….like when I was a little girl and I wouldn’t obey and so I did not get to go to the store with Mom. Except I know I am obeying this time, so why can’t I go . hmmmph. (me pouting). OK OK…Just finished “Believing God” and I know God has given me a work to do. I am finishing my thesis and have to be done by Sunday. I better stop pouting and go get busy. I am believing God for the work to be accomplished, both in my life, Beth’s family and the many who will be there on Saturday! Praying for health, rest, and peace!
Praise God for great Moms! 🙂 The way you moved in and took over for Amanda reminds me of what my Mom would do for me. As I watch my little girl play nearby, I am praying that I will grow to become a great mom too! Thank you for your honesty in a previous post about not getting to your quiet time one day. That is a constant concern of mine in this season of life. Thank you Jesus for GRACE! Praise Him for his healing hand on Curtis as well.
Yay for: animal sounds and “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” (a wonderful book), Curtis’s family arriving, “man time” for little Jackson, for Travis being with you Saturday, and, above all else, God and His love and care over His children!!! Praying like crazy for you and your family! Love you to pieces!!
Dana in Halls, TN
I believe God has big plans for this weekend! It appears the devil is on full tilt trying to distract you. Praying God is pouring Himself out on your whole family and all that touches your lives. Looking forward to Saturday.
Love “Cloudy”…it’s a family fave…so bring it! Praying for you all!
I am soooo looking forward to the simulcast on Saturday. My daughter is coming with me!
I did not know Curtis was in the hospital! I haven’t been on in quite a while. I was reading all your blog enteries. My prayers are with all of you. I hope he has a speedy recovery!
I will totally have your back! Praying for God to give you his words and use you in a mighty way on Saturday! I know He will!
Much love ~ Kristin
