The Latest

Thank you for your prayers, my dear sisters! No news yet on whether or not Curtis might be able to come home tomorrow. We’re so hoping he will. His parents have already begun their long trek south from Missouri. They will drive late into the night, check into a hotel, then get up early in the morning and drive the rest of the way into Houston. AJ just walked through the door of her house and I’m about to pack up my car and head home to my man. Yes, he’s back. Jackson got to have a blast with him tonight. He needed some man time in the worst way.

I got a little more preparation for Saturday’s simulcast done during nap/rest time today and will turn my attentions to it completely first thing in the morning. Thank goodness, it doesn’t start on Friday night like a regular LPL would. You’ll know I didn’t get all my preparation accomplished if I resort to reading “Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs” as an illustration. Please have my back on it though. Turn to the woman sitting next to you, nod, and say, “Inspired!” I could also run through all the animal sounds I’ve perfected into an art form in order to keep Annabeth awake in the car until we made it home for naptime.

OK, signing off and heading home! Btw, did you guys know that Travis will be joining us this weekend? You don’t really think I’d try serving you without him, did you?

I’ll talk to you soon!

Beth – With you it’s always inspired…. But yes, if we hear “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”, I’m certain we will all do exactly as you asked. Your back is covered!

Prayers for Curtis and Amanda, and safe travels for his parents. And rest and clarity of thought for you. Looking forward to Saturday!

    Love and hugs,

We’re ready for ya here in Woodstock!
Bring the meatballs and the animal sounds… we’ll be happy to hear them! Several siestas are eating at Pappasito’s Friday night in preparation for Saturday morning. Because really, their tableside guacamole? Makes you feel more secure about EVERYTHING. 🙂

Praying for you as you travel safely here and then back home. And praying for Curtis’ speedy recovery!

Sure wish Curtis’ pesky fever would just go away….. must be so frustrating for you all! Will continue fervent prayers for him and the entire Jones family, as well as Beth’s big event on Saturday here in ATL. The place is all abuzz with excitement! Beth is (naturally) the talk of the town.
Unfortunately, (actually, devastatingly) I will not be able to use my ticket, so I’d like to offer it up (free!) to any Siesta who may be blessed by a “day out with Beth.”

Please write me back at [email protected] if you might be able to use an “upfront” seat with a boxed lunch included….

I’m new to your wonderful blog…kind of a dinasaur when it comes to these things. Can you believe I don’t even have an iphone or blackberry? I think I’m the last of my kind. Been praying for Curtis’s healing and your preparation for SI simulcast. I can just imagine the scenes you have been describing with the kiddos and animal sounds:) I think I will be laughing for a long time just thinking about that. I eagerly expect for God to pour Himself out through you as He always does so MIGHTILY. You are such a blessing to me and so many! I love you so much!

You’re not the last….I don’t have an iphone or blackberry either. In fact, I just now have a phone that you can download ring tones on. I haven’t done it yet but am thinking about getting the Geiko ‘ringadee ding dong’…..

Praying for the Jones and for Ms. Beth and all who will hear the Word this weekend.

      Hi Carrie,
I’m married to a computer whiz, and if that’s not enough, I birthed two of them, but do you know what? I’m barely computer literate and I don’t have a blackberry or an iphone, so you, dear sister are not alone in dinosaur land. In fact, I still have the original flip phone that came with the pay-as-you-go plan (a hand-me-down from my son) that I use only for emergencies. Yes, they had to drag me kicking and screaming into the 21st. century and I was convinced I’d arrived safely the first time I successfully left a comment on this very blog. Speaking of which, Beth, I’m praying for your family and for the simulcast this weekend.
      Blessings to all of you,

I don’t even have the capability of texting. My husband’s about given up on teaching me to operate his iphone. I can’t even call someone on that thing without his help!! I got my first 1mb ipod this year! I had to get a used one. They don’t even sell them at Walmart anymore!

Continuing to pray for Curtis…Lord make that temp go down and heal him! I just love reading this blog….and the knowledge that you are SO real and you give us a glimpse into ‘real life’ with each of you…and allow us to come alongside you and pray!

  16. 16

I am thrilled that you just used the expression “btw.” The only thing that could make this better would be if you, on Saturday, found a way to incorporate the following into your message: brb, lol, idk, bff and pos (parent over shoulder). If you busted out with a “brb,” I think there would be complete silence followed by 9,000 women absolutely losing it.

I’m new to this blog, but have recently completed the “Believing God” Bible study at my church. I really enjoyed it and decided to check out the lpm website, which led me to this blog. In keeping this short and sweet I’ll make two points. First, the statement about the broken little toe was the funniest thing Ive read in a while (aside from being allergic to berry notes). Second, I don’t know what “Summer Bible Study III” is, but I’m interested.

Thank you Mrs. Moore for allowing the Lord to use you. I also thank you for the great love which I can see that you have for these women.

I have been following your blog for a few weeks! I attend the church you will be at this weekend and I can’t wait for the conference. In preparation for the weekend I have read the book and have been listening to Travis’ CD that our choir recorded with him. I have also been praying for you. I too am a grandmother, I go by Mimi, of two. I am so blessed to be close to mine as well. So, I have been able to understand what you have experienced this past week. Grandchildren are truly one of God’s most special gifts. I pray you get some well deserved rest and some tlc of your own. May God meet you in the most special way tomorrow as you prepare for Saturday.
    God bless.

I am praying that the Greatest physician will do a mighty work in Curtis so he can go home and improve rapidly. I am also praying that God will give Beth exactly what she needs so He can use her to transform many lives on Saturday. I am bringing a couple of people who so need this message. One has read most of the book and the other only a little but I pray that they will be touched by God and motivated to finish the book. I thank God for using you Beth to write this profound book. It has made such a difference in my life in me personally and also helped me to understand others and some of the reasons for their actions. My women’s group began Loving Well today after finishing Revelations last week and we had a great time laughing our heads off during the video and then a wonderful discussion afterwards.

  24. 24

Oh, I so wish I could be there via the simulcast in Orofino, but I can’t. I wouldn’t be able to afford it anyway and getting there would be a problem. I don’t find places very easily and never driven to Orofino. Would have to have gone on my own.

    Susan says:

Thank you so much for the update. Yes, knew about Travis. Got your back on the whole cloudy with a chance of meatballs illustration.

I’ve asked our pastor’s wife to “host” the event. I’ll just slip her a note to say how inspiring it was…something like the meatballs are insecurites that come crashing down and STAIN your life. Jesus is the ultimate stain remover!

P.S. We’re nearly sold out. 600 in Jacksonville, FL at our site. PRAISE YOU LORD.

Love you…Praying for you and your family.

We are so very much in prayer for you all. Knowing that the Father has a glorious plan for everything. There will be no doubt that it is His strength and wisdom shining through on Sat. because of the exhausting week you must have had. And isn’t that the way we want it. Not our glory but His. Praise to His name.

Just to clarify. I am not laughing at the fact that you broke you toe, cause I know that’s no fun. I was laughing at the way you worded that comment. I didn’t want ya’ll thinking I got a kick out of other people’s pain. I am not one of those…. those… What do you call them? People who like pain?

    Anyway. Just FYI.

Beth…We are week 5 into Revelation at Travis’ fabulous new church (shameless plug for him and the awesomeness of EBC)and I’m just a mess over this study. I’m in love with Revelation. THANK YOU for showing me, teaching me, challenging me, and making me love my God so much more.

I’ll see you in Atlanta. I’m coming for a word and for some freedom in this crazy insecurity deal I have. Right now I’m reading in chapter something about how we can attempt to be God in our spouse’s life and you shared some examples in your own marriage and let me just say….THANK YOU!!!!

Praying over the entire family and every detail.

I’m so pumped. My sweet friend surprised me with the best “girl time” ever for my birthday yesterday and then gave me “So Long, Insecurity” as my final gift! She knew that I wanted to read the book as soon as we finished “Breaking Free.” (We have two weeks left.) But my babies are in bed and I can’t wait to dive in. Thank you for investing in us and mentoring us from afar.
This week is going to be amazing. Praying for all of you!

    Much love,

    Beth,

Prayers lifted on behalf of your precious family. I am so excited about Saturday…with all of this warfare God must have plans to really “show out” and HE will be greatly glorified. We are planning a tailgate lunch even taking the trucks up on Friday night to be sure we have a spot near the building (praying for the scattered thunder showers not to arrive over the campus until after 1:15). Everyone I know attending are in much need of a fresh Word for our awesome God and are in great expectation of all He is going to do. Will continue praying for your family in Houston, travel safety for you, Travis and the entire team, and for Melissa and her man here in ATL. Thank you my dear sister for your obedience, sacrifice and surrender to His way/plans for your life. What a blessing you are to us and thank that man of yours for sharing you God’s way with us. Believing HIM, dg

I’m hearing the boy needing some “man time” thing! My hubby has been in Haiti for the past 9 days and comes home in just a few more hours (2 a.m.) My 4 year old, Lily, misses her daddy for stinkin’ sure, but her 2 year old brother, Tobias, seriously needs some “man time”. His little 5 1/2 month brother, Quinn, probably needs some “man time” too, but doesn’t really know how to express that quite yet. I, also, feel the need for some “man time” after 9 days of watching them, but I also know I need some “Man time” which will be coming to me sweetly through the simulcast on Saturday!!! Can’t wait!

    Kathy Cubley says:

May God bless you beyond anything that you could have imagined! He will fill in the gaps that you may feel you have by not having the normal prep time. Only YOU keeping the children could have given Amanda the freedom to minister to Curtis…so since God knew what your weekend would be, He must have it all under control! ha! (Bet you knew that already!) Relax and let Him flow through you as usual! Wish I could be there.
