I can't wait to induldge in this. I tried going to the simulcast last night and brought my nursing 11 week old Leah with me. Evidently Beth inspired her, because Leah gabbed the whole time, making it a bit hard for me to feel the spirit. But I had fun the way God intended last night. Thanks for the recipe.

Was at the simulcast last night in Rogersville, TN. Couldn't go back this morning and my heart wants to be there so badly. I do have friends taking notes though. Prayers for you. My favorite quote from last night. "If you have not received the desire of your heart, something is up. Glory is at stake." Thanks. Needed to hear it.

Yummy! My family loves this cake. Try switching out some of the liquid (water- 1/4 c, and milk- 1 tbsp) for room-tempertured brewed coffee. The coffee intensifies the flavor of the chocolate quite nicely.

The cake sounds amazing – can't wait to try it.

I just wanted to say also that I attended the simulcast from Rutledge, GA @ Centennial Baptist Church. This was amazing!! I love anything that Beth Moore does. She makes learning the Bible so interesting and fun. and mostly understandable.

I came into the seminar last night with a very heavy heart about my marriage & what I was going to do next. I am completely broken & I have given up. But Beth said today…Don't Give Up!! Shut Up & Listen, be patient & wait. I have to now because she was talking directly to me. I don't know how to pray, I am scared to death where my life is going & right now it doesn't look good. But THANK YOU BETH for doing this simulcast – it was for ME. Thank you!

I have a family recipe that is almost exactly like Beth's – just a few ingredients different – still the 3 sticks of butter. It is my son's birthday cake every year. I think I've been eating it the life of my marriage – 29 years. LOVE IT! I'm going to try adding the 2 ingredients that are in Beth's that are not mine and see if I can tell the difference.

Just got home from Saturday's Simulcast. Oh how powerful it was. Beth, I know you spoke to me and to the other ladies here at our site. God is just amazing in that He speaks to all and yet it is still so personal to each individual person. God was all over Topeka, Kansas. Words can't say enough.

    Beth,
Just want you to know your prayers were answered! The "wave" hit Hampton VA in our simulcast…He is so faithful and there is nothing like His attention and presence. He is Wonderful…and that describes to a tee the moments, like this weekend, when He meets us and speaks to us at our deepest, most sacred needs (unspoken and often unadmitted to ourselves). We are left filled with the wonder of Him. It is DELIGHT!
    Love you, girlfriend!

I just came home from the Fri/Sat simulcast and can't thank y'all enough. It was exactly what I needed, exactly when I needed it. God knew what he was doing by sending me to Southside Baptist Church for the event. It blessed my socks off! Thank you Beth for delivering God's anointed Word, and thanks to your marvelous worship team and everyone else who had a hand in putting it on. May God bless you richly.

Got home a little while ago from the simulcast in Lawton, OK. Had a blast and was blessed beyond measure. Praise you Jesus.

My daughters, who were with me, informed me that I am to bake this cake and have them over for dinner tomorrow! So I was just in here printing off a copy.

Thanks, as always, for your ministry and for keeping everything real. Love you all.

Beth, Amanda and Melissa and all who serve through LPM- I just left the First Baptist Church in Rockwall Texas- I'm from Austin, but traveled to this area where my mother lives- I continue to be "stunned" by the depth of study and quality of presentation you share with us- How in the world do you produce God's message in a fresh, brilliant and loving manner so often?- it would take me a year to prepare and study in order to present even one of your topics- Please know I AM BLESSED and IMPRESSED – so glad God is Alive and Active in you, dear sister in Christ- I am sitting in a library in a small east Texas town so that I can type up my notes from today. I want to share them as best I can and pray over them for myself- The translation I use for my memory verses is "Enjoy serving the Lord and he will give you what you want" I often speak the NIV translation and sometimes the Trust in the Lord and he will give you …… Thank you and have a relaxed trip home. To all who made the Green Bay LPL event so great, thank you. God blessed us very richly at Lake City Church in Madison, WI (yes, just down the road). Everyone could find pearls to take with her. However, Friday night there was a storm in Madison which knocked out the satilite signal for the beginning of the 3rd point. It was also missed in the Saturday morning review. Could you please/would you please provide the full point of #3 "Delighting in God . . . .???" If you post it all will see.
God bless you in your service to Him.

    Beth,
Wow! Last night was truly amazing. I about fell off my chair when I saw what you were gonna speak on. You see, I've been dealing with emotions from my unmet desires all week. Tonight I realized that God is getting to the heart of my desires for His glory and I need to ask him to be my delight. I so want to delight in HIM. I know He will answer my prayer for He is faithful.
    Thanks so much!

I loved the simulcast this weekend. I needed that fresh word from God! Thank you for being his instrument. I have this same recipe and it is a favorite with my friends and family too. The ultimate compliment came from my former boss who seldom ate sweets but loved this cake. I walked into his office one day and he was sitting at his desk with the empty cake pan scrapping out every crumb. I realized then just how much he enjoyed it.
I just got home from attending your simulcast at Underwood Baptist Church in Florence,AL. Your cake illustration really hit home with me. I have been waiting on God for something for many years. From your simple, but effective cake illustration, that even though I though I was "waiting", I have really been sitting at the table doing nothing but drooling over the "cake" when all I need to do is eat lunch. This weekend has been such an eyeopener for me….Thanks so very much.

And this cake is another expression of His love for us. Turns out the recipe we've had for years called "chocolate/cinnamon cake" is practically the same. Thanks for the wonderful story. I say "cccaaaaaakkkeee" so often, it's really a hoot! I know GOD thinks it's funny.

Momma Beth…It's Saturday and I just got home from the simulcast in Texarkana, TX. WooHoo…I was fed from the Word like never before. My best girlfriend and I did the "commitment" together, through our tears. We have both been through MUCH in our 60-years of life. BUT before the simulcast even got into gear on Fri eve, I wanted to SHOUT when I realized the Scripture you would focus on!!! Those verses from Psalm 37 carried me through a VERY difficult time in the 1980-90's when one of my sons ran away from home. He was gone from my life for many years. Absolutely THEE MOST PAINFUL time of my life…but I remained faithful (like you said!) and God was faithful to bring my son back to me. He is now married to my beautiful daughter-in-law and has given me twin gransons. When I see all of them next time, we will celebrate with Texas Chocolate Sheet Cake.
    Love you to bits….Sue

Just read the comment from "Anonymous" whose parents are "disinterested" in her. Wish I could give her a big hug right now. I am praying for her & hope others who may see this comment will join me. Yes, the simulcast was wonderful (viewed in Pineville, LA), and the "caaaaakkke" has been a favorite in our family for years. I hope "Anonymous" will get a big helping of love that sweet from someone nearby who will be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit to minister to her. Thank you from Rogers, AR. This was the first LPL Simulcast I ever attended. I came expectantly to hear from our Lord God. Bless His Holy Name…Jesus! He truly is enough. Thank you for sharing the Word of God placed on your heart. Psalm 37 happen's to be the Scripture assignment from last week's Women's Sunday School Class to be covered in the morning. I know and hear still, God speaking to me specifically on how I am walk in His Spirit during this season. I desire so—to stay in His Presence, He is my life. This is a season in which I will need to be still (shut thee up)in order to continue to hear/see in faith the provision of the Lord. Thank you for the encouragement to continue on.
I am looking forward to baking the Texas sheet cake for my family and grandbabies. May the joy of the Lord continually strengthen you, dear Sister!

WOW! A cake recipe and so much wisdom too! You are truly anointed by God. I have done many of your studies over the years and enjoyed them so much. Especially back during the time when my parents died within 2 days of each other and we had a double funeral. But God was so Good. Then this was wonderful now after a 27 1/2 year marriage to the man that I thought God had brought me decided he didn't want to be married to me any more and God once again was good to me. Then your message has helped me to see that I was not delighting in God to the extent that He wanted me to. I PRAISE God for you and your diligence in following after Him and His calling on your life. Thank you for a wonderful time in the Lord and for being obedient to Him.
