She is too adorable. I have huge hair that my hairdresser is forever "thinning out"! To no avail. I am hugely blessed by her workbook and the chapter on "anger issues" which I swore I did not HAVE, is just what I needed.
Oh, Jennifer, you're awesome! And I so needed to be reminded today that who I am and what I struggle with are not the same! I'm a fellow big-haired Siesta, so I loved the flatten-it ideas! LOL

I sure needed to hear this, who I am. I am a child of the King, not what I tell myself I am. Thank you Jennifer! I am slowly working on the study (solo), and memorizing the scriptures.
Now, the hair issue…. I have very short, fine, thin, hair. I gel it, spray it, flat iron it so it sticks out, spray it again, and since I am a hairdresser,(I know this works…) I spray it again for good measure.

I started out thinking this wasn't much of a problem for me but as I get further into the study I realize I have things to learn and apply to my life. Thank you Jennifer for your insight into our "Thought Closets". I have been cleaning out my closet and can't believe how cluttered it had become. It is so wonderful how it lifts my spirits to change my thought patterns to those of God's!
It has been truly freeing for me to stop thinking things are all about me when I don't even enter into the equation sometimes!
You know the "if only I had done it this way" or "they must be mad at me because of _____". Those misleading faulty assumptions were always messing me up!
God's Word is truly faithful and I just love it when God gives the gift of understanding and teaching to Sister's like you. Thanks for sharing your gifts!

Oh this was so wonderful to see. Now Mama Beth I want you to know that I respect your hair issues..but I must say Jennifer's suggestions for hair fit me and she has short hair like me…so I must say she is an angel with her hair ideas…Can you imagine if they actually had something called flatten it and who knew the you could feed the dog and do your hair with one bowl? I am thankful for you and this study and my siestas and Jennifer who pops in once in a while.

Wow! I thought I had the biggest hair. As a southerner, we are supposed to though, right siestas! But my hairdresser said I was job security for her. I am enjoying this study so much! Thanks Jennifer and Beth!

My hair is very thick but now I wear it very short and spikey on top so I have no need to bumpet or flattenit. Too funny. I have not been blessed with big hair so flattenits would not be needed. But, I don't have enough hair to cover a Bumpit big enough to help me out. (I'm only 4'11"). But I have to tell you, we were meeting at Hastings in Topeka, KS last week and got so excited because as we walked in there was a shelf of Bumpits. We laughed for 5 minutes and went and got the box (even opened it) so we could see them up close and personal.
I love being part of this siesta community. Y'all are too much!

I love Jennifer Rothschild. Altho I'm not able to do the current Bible study with the siestas, I am doing the "Walking By Faith" study which is wonderful for this season of my life.
Several months ago our church did "Fingerprints of God" which was absolutely wonderful and timely.
